The New Era ended as quickly as it had begun. Its grand architect, the titaness Kronika, was defeated and reduced to a pile of glass shards lost forever in the distant past. As the new timekeepers and joint guardians of Kronika's hourglass, the now-immortal Liu Kang and Kitana have spent countless eons patiently rewriting the history of the realms. Unlike Kronika, they seek to build a better future for all, free from the tyrannical control of any one guardian. To this end, with the gods of the past timelines either murdered or rendered mortal, Liu Kang and Kitana decided to assemble a select few of their closest friends and allies - Kung Lao, Raiden, Fujin, and Master Bo' Rai-Cho - to rebuild the pantheon and provide counsel on how best to rebuild the timeline and avoid any possible resurgence of the endless wars Kronika had perpetuated.

Meanwhile, life in the mortal planes went on, but this time under very different circumstances. Outworld is now a constitutional monarchy consisting of relatively independent vassal states - one for each of its once-conquered territories - all united under the leadership of their beloved rulers Kotal Kahn and Jade Kahnum. Among these vassal states is Edenia, governed by Kitana's parents, King Jerrod and Queen Sindel, whose deaths and brainwashing at the hands of Shao Kahn were undone. And in Earthrealm, four distinct factions - the Earthrealm Special Forces, the Lin Kuei, the Shirai Ryu, and the White Lotus Society - now stand united in defense of Earthrealm, led by Raiden who has once again been appointed protector of Earthrealm, this time without fear of being corrupted by Kronika's manipulations, while the deaths of a certain number of allies who had fallen during Kronika's wars - most notably Sonya Blade - have likewise been undone.

Of course, this new timeline is by no means perfect. Enemies such as the Black Dragon and the Brotherhood of Shadow now threaten the universe once again on a regular basis, their existences restored and even intertwined to an extent due to the chosen paths of certain beings. Most recently, Frost and Sektor conspired to instigate hatred between the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu by kidnapping warriors from both clans, each time framing the other clan for the kidnappings; Lin Kuei Grandmasters Kuai Liang and Bi Han had both Frost and Sektor expelled from the Lin Kuei and arrested for their crimes, but by then Frost and Sektorhad already managed to convert several of the kidnapped warriors into their own cyber-ninja clan, the Tekunin, and later escaped Special Forces custody to finish work on the mysterious Triborg project. And in addition to all of this, the sands of time have occasionally attempted to resist the re-sculpting efforts of Liu Kang and Kitana, leading some to fear that Kronika's influence over the timeline may not yet be gone for good. Nevertheless, in this new timeline, all the realms have lived in a relative peace that has never before been heard of in any other timeline.

In addition, one other, relatively obscure threat has resurfaced as of late. ago, a mysterious all-female race known as the Kreeyans once threatened Earthrealm and Outworld alike, circumventing the laws of the elder gods by being openly invited into realms by their inhabitants, after which they would effectively take over these realms by swiftly overrunning the native populations to the point of extinction. In past timelines, the Kreeyans had eventually become extinct and effectively vanished from history due in part to extermination campaigns against them by Shao Kahn, but when Liu Kang and Kitana eliminated Shao Kahn from that point in history, the Kreeyan race was able to survive, albeit in a much weaker state than before and forced into hiding from those who know them, especially Raiden and the White Lotus Society in Earthrealm, as well as the forces of Kotal Kahn in Outworld.

On the other hand, the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu are relatively unaware of the Kreeyan threat in comparison, and are both still considerably weakened due to Frost and Sektor's recent schemes, giving the Kreeyans a perfect niche to reinstate themselves in Earthrealm, in a time period in which their much-needed native mates have never been easier to come by.

Earthrealm was finally at a relative peace, the huge threats that once threatened it be from kronika or shao khan were gone and now liu kang and kitana both sculpt the sands of time now. Albeit despite this.. there are still threats that still must be looked after, the black dragons, the brotherhood of shadow, and an unforeseen threat from frost and sektor, they have been up to some underhandedness, kidnapping members of the new shirai ryu and lin kuei clans, using them for their own nefarious purposes, stirring decent and dissention. There was also an unforeseen threat that was looming in the shadows perhaps over the entirety of earthrealm, the kreeyan warrior race. However that is a story for another time, perhaps sooner than we think. We go now to the Lin kuei dojo on an icy mountain located in Artika. There grandmaster Kuai lang has gathered his warriors, as well as grandmaster hanzo Hasashi gathered his. It was a standoff, who would make the first move? who was going to draw first blood if at all. the icy winds brewed stronger, with both warrior clans staring each other down. The two grandmasters both stepped forward, these two clans have been at peace and finally gained an alliance for the first time in ages, however that might be short lived..it all depends on these moments here, then hanzo Hasashi, scorpion stepped forward to speak, "Kuai lang! where are my warriors! what have you done with them!" Then Kuai lang, the one known as sub zero stepped forward sighing, "Hanzo! you should know, we had nothing to do with this, warriors from my clan are missing as well, we are all that is left. I asked you here so we can discuss this, not to shed each others blood. listen to reason hanzo." then hanzo grew tired, as his emotion took over, he lost his clan once, and he did not want it to happen again..and he wouldn't let anyone stand in his way despite if they call themselves friend or not. Hanzo withdrew a short katana from his hip sheathe and charged sub zero as kuai lang quickly summoned an ice sword to block it. "Enough talk kuai lang! I knew this alliance would not have lasted! you have betrayed me! now you will pay for it!"

Then kuai lang growled as their blades clashed and narrowed his eyes breathing out icy cold breathe, "if my fist is the only way you will listen, then fine, I will beat some sense into you hanzo." then the exchanged a few blows, swords clashed and clanged, then fists flew block and forth, as these two were very skilled warriors, some might say evenly matched. One could say it was almost a dance, they traded kicks, and then kuai lang grabbed hanzos arm after dodging a punch, and twisted it behind hanzos back kicking the back of his knee to get him to kneel and pulled back on his arm, "If you want to kill me then do it kuai lang! I will come back, you know this and I will haunt you for the deaths of my clan." and then kuai lang raised an eyebrow narrowing his eyes, "you fool, if I wanted you dead, I would have done it by now. I want to stop this damned blood shedding. I know whose behind the disappearences hanzo, it is neither my clan or yours. it is frost.. she has been kidnapping our warriors..turning them into cyber warriors of her own design. I do not know her intentions as of yet, but I suspect she plans to strike back at us and take us both down." Kuai lang then let go of hanzo as hanzo turned around standing up sheathing his short sword. "you are..certain of this kuai lang? I mean really certain?" But kuai lang could answer, the tekunin warriors snuck up to the dojo, climbing the sides of the mountain with claws implanted in their armored hands, they flipped up and over the top of the dojo as frost was there, she threw two ice daggers killing two warriors on both sides of her, then the clans teamed up to fight the incoming tekunin as frost stood up and got kuai langs and hanzos attention. "Hmph granmaster kuai lang...you will no longer keep me in the shadows, I will show you that Ive always outmatched you and you were to afraid to admit it!" Kuai lang took his stance tightening his fists, "you had talent frost, but you had an evil in your heart I couldn't nourish, I refused to, now I will do what must be done." then hanzo went back to back with sub zero as sektor jumped into the fight firing a rocket clearing a path for him to land and stand to fight scorpion, "Hanzo..your clan will be no more! we will make sure of it!" then hanzo turned to look over his shoulder at sub zero, "what is it those americans say, we must go..back to back kuai?" kuai lang them scoffed and had a small smirk, "I believe that is the saying...ill handle frost, you handle sektor!" then with that..they engaged their opponents, with frost and subzero firing a stream of ice at one another and it collided into ice shards, then sub zero did his ice slide into frost knocking her back but she flipped up as she summoned an ice dagger as sub zero summoned two short ice swords, mean while scorpion threw out his famous rope dart to sektor sticking it in, "GET OVER HERE!" he exclaimed and kicked sketor away as his hit could be heard with a cling and clang sound as they two exchanged blows.

Meanwhile, one of the lin kuei warriors, named Shiro Shingen, was a fairly new member of the lin kuei, albeit he served his grandmaster kuai lang faithfully to prove himself as a warrior and to protect his home. He was dressed in blue and black, obvious robes of the lin kuei, he with drew the sword from his back stabbing two approaching members of the tekunin and a third kicked him in the back, he used his armored gauntlet to steady himself as he glided with small sparks. he got up and used his legs as he fast and strong, he flew kicking the third in his face, and with a series of rapid fire punches, disoriented him and ran him through with his sword and was quickly surrounded fighting them off one by one as he looked over to his master fighting frost, "Master kuai lang! what do we do?!" then kuai lang rolled and punched frost in the side and did a spinning kick, kicking her away and he looked over at his student. "we fight shiro! we must hold them off! we need to kill them here and now, otherwise they will not relent!" and with that...the kombat for their lives begin..

Personality:Shiro is an honorable who goes by his own code, perhaps ths typical do gooder, but will kill when need be to defend himself or others.

Abilities/Skills: skilled hand to hand kombatant, as well as a decent cryomancer and swordsman.

Origin:
Shiro grew up in the slums of china, he had a tough home life growing up. In his small village, the yakuza were a big threat, and he studied martial arts every day, to learn how to fight them off. Once it was known he single handedly took down his villages sect of yazuka that were working with the black dragon.. His talent became known and kuai Lang took him in to refine his abilites.

Personality: Manasa inherited much of her cunning from both of her parents, and learned from her mother to use everyone she can to whatever advantage she may have at any given time. Manasa's skill in subtlety and manipulation closely rivals that of her mother, Queen Vorpax, the main difference being that Manasa's assertive streak has a much stronger tendency to emerge, such that she is more likely than Vorpax to take a more direct or aggressive approach in dealing with enemies if necessary.

Abilities/Skills: As the firstborn daughter of Queen Vorpax, Manasa is the de facto princess of the Kreeyans. As such, she is next in line to inherit the queen's powers (including the ability to breed and create hives) and, if and when the current queen dies, she can extract these powers directly from the dead queen's body in order to become the new queen.
