What with the new movie out on Netflix, my old love for the show Invader Zim has found something to sustain itself on. I hope Netflix decides it's enough to revive the series altogether, but I doubt it, because life's unfair. Faced with the very real possibility of that universe getting no more installments, I've decided to try and take things into my own hands. Of course, I need some people to help with that.
My story would follow the events after the movie, with the Irken armada being led directly into the florpus hole. (This must sound really silly to most people.) As the Massive was being engulfed by the florpus, the pilots send out this very specific distress signal, only to be used in the event that Zim royally fucks up to the extent that any surviving members of the Irken empire, banished or not, are being called upon to hunt him down.
We'd all play Irken characters, unless someone has a good idea for a human, coming to Earth to try and find Zim and bring him to justice. Problem is, the distress signal was unexpectedly delayed by a few years by the reality distorting properties of the florpus hole. So by the time it gets out, years have passed on Earth, and Zim is nowhere to be found.
From there, our characters would be stuck with no other option but to "think" like Zim in hopes of finding them, subjecting themselves to college and living in suburban neighborhoods.
