Hi. You can call me whatever variation of my username you like. I guess if we're going into a bit about me, then I'll be brief. I was born in 1991, so I'm knocking on 30's door. I work in emergency management and code enforcement in my parish (Louisiana's term for "county"). I used to be in the Guard (Army) and did a lot of weather duty missions, but never deployed. I know a little about a lot and what I've learned is that I know very little to speak about. I have my opinions, but they're just that. I won't get into a debate on religion or politics with anyone here. I'll maybe write a character with solid or passionate beliefs, if that's what we're doing, but what I actually think and feel are going to be my own secrets. Go into RPs with me understanding that, please.

I just lost a writing partner of 3 years, so if I sound a bit grey and gloomy, I'm sorry. For any of you who have had that one partner you turned to for a solid set of years, I'm sure you can all agree that it feels a lot like a break up when you lose them. We made an entire world together, complete with scores of characters that had stories upon stories to enrich and build and grow. And now it's all gone. I know I'm ready to move on and find something new, but it's hard to adjust after hitting that reset button.

Am I looking for anything smutty…? I don't really know. I was never big on the cheap porn vibe to begin with. I like well-established characters that have a life and personality of their own. I like natural story progression and realistic reasons for change/corruption/growth. I can be into pretty much anything smut-wise and I have a healthy like of kinks. What always stalls it out on me, though, is when there's no logical setup to what's going on. If my character is a smart but innocent girl going to an Ivy League, she's not going to fall for dumb, horny-boy ploys because a key part of her personality is that she's smart. As the writer, I will gladly help to narrow down what will work on her, but I'm not going to write for my partner nor am I going to dumb a character down to make it easy. If it takes more time and effort, then that's the way it'll have to be.

I'm no Shakespeare, but I ask for effort. Please don't make me have to translate typos and grammar atrocities the whole way through a reply. I understand if English is not your first language, so please don't feel insecure about that. If you're looking to improve and learn, please let me know and I'll happily point out mistakes. I got pretty far into learning French, so I definitely understand that grammar and colloquial nuances are a nightmare in a foreign language. If you don't like having someone point out the mistakes, please let me know ahead of time.

I'm a fast typer and when I'm comfortable and into a story enough, I will churn out replies at the speed of light. Please don't be bothered by that. That's just me. Reply when you can and as you feel like it. Just let me know if something's wrong or if you're stuck.

Communicate with me, please. I'm open to conversation, sure, and I have no problem making friends, but when it comes to planning out a story and steering it the right way, I'm not a mind reader. If you have something specific in mind, tell me and I'll help make it happen. Let's talk about it, brainstorm, and craft it. This is a project and we should work on it together.

Now I guess it's on to what everyone really wants to know about: Genres and RP cravings. Unfortunately, I don't know what I want to do. I've been writing one world for so long that I'm just a completely blank slate. I'm looking for that spark to inspire me again.

I can do original plots all day long, but what I absolutely refuse to do is play a pre-built original character of someone else's fantasy. You can have a preference for what type of person they are for the sake of the story and the pairing itself. You want her to be particularly peppy or goth or whatever, I will gladly use that in the crafting of the character. What I won't do is let you dictate what their backstory is or what their motivations are. Otherwise, what's the point? The details that made them however you want them to be are mine to hash out and make unique.

I also do fandoms. I can play particular characters if I know them/like them enough or I can craft an OC. Every main or romantically-involved character MUST be 18 or over. Fandoms right off the top of my head:

Marvel (Avengers, X-Men Evolution, etc)

DC (Batman in particular. I'm limited, I'm sorry. ._.)

Harry Potter

Hunger Games

House of Cards

GoT (I'm just starting the books, God don't kill me)

Walking Dead (I just finished Season 10 and refuse to pay AMC to watch Season 11)

Star Wars (I am not a super fan, but I am fine doing research and asking questions)

A:TLA (Not Korra)

ACOTAR

Some anime (YuYu Hakusho, Death Note)

This list feels way too short, but I'm blanking. If you're looking for a partner, but I don't have what you're looking for on here, just ask me and I'll let you know.

Really, guys, I'm up for anything. If there's anything you're looking to do, send me a PM and we'll talk it over. I guess that's really it, though. Hopefully I haven't been a colossal wet blanket. Best of luck to you guys in finding what you're looking for, regardless.

Hope to hear from you,

Sneaky Scorpio
