Hello, I'm Mirafin, or Mira, or occasionally Mama Mira. I've been RPing off and on for over 20 years now and love to work with people to write stories. In fact, sometimes I think the brainstorming part can as much, or even more fun, than the RP.

I live in the US and since I work from home, I'm almost always online. I'm married with a young daughter, so that tends to take up most of my evenings.

When writing, I use third person, past tense and tend to average about 1-3 paragraphs, depending on what's going on in the RP at the time. I don't really care what person or tense my partners use. My writing is usually pretty concise, so while there may not be a lot of it, there should be everything my partner could want and enough to help keep the plot moving forward. My favorite genres are fantasy and modern SOL with a heavy dose of romance, but not a lot of smut. About a 70/30 ratio is perfect for me.

Ummmmmmmm, I guess that's about it for now.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! I took am a big fan of brainstorming, possibly more than actually getting on with the story. I like alot of consultant OOC back n forth. Although obviously life happens.


My advice for Newcomers:

Read the rules.
Read a few Request threads ( RT) .
Make your own RT.
Explore the site, discover it has a ton of resources to make your stuff look cool .
Go back redesign your RT.
With regards to request threads, remember sometimes is as important to say what you really do NOT want as well as what you do.
If you are stuck , drop by chat or look for names in staff colours. Green , Blue or Purple.
