Hey all!
I'm Pomegranate, but if addressing me as a fruit (no matter how amazing the fruit) is a little funky for you, feel free to call me Pom. I use she/her pronouns.
I'm so excited to have stumbled upon this gem! I loved writing collaboratively when I was younger. I discovered the internet at a bit of a young age, but roleplay and writing quickly became one of my first creative loves! I was introduced to forum-based roleplay through a childhood fandom over 10 years ago.
Unfortunately, I have had a complete creative block for the past 4-5 years.
I've been working through some major personal stuff this year and find that my muse is slowly coming back. I've been getting into reading fiction again (definitely send over any recs), and I think that has sparked some motivation to write. I love love love some easy-to-read romance and/or sci-fi. They really got me out of the slump initially. I've been trying to get more into fantasy as well (might give GOT a read), which I'm also particularly interested in exploring through roleplay. Beyond the things that have gotten me out of reading slumps, I am generally an enjoyer of any contemporary or literary fiction that makes me think, feel, and/or cry. (Ocean Vuong awaits me on my bookshelf.)
In addition to writing, I love drawing and visual arts, which I'm more open about. My avatar may or may not be my own doodle.
I'm not sure if anyone relates, but I've always been more private about writing, as I enjoy keeping it as a small, secret little thing that I do sometimes. It somehow feels more vulnerable to write, personally, and that I have to dig way deeper to place the words that truly resonate with me.
I think writing collaboratively is particularly special. There is nothing quite like being able to share that creativity with a stranger somewhere else in the world. I really hope to get to do that here!
It's nice to meet you all !!
