Harbinger of Possibilities
Hello everyone! Van Sol here, but you can call me Van, or Sol, or ... really anything that I might reply to. You might have seen me lurking about the site for the past month or so, but I've just now decided that I should actually introduce myself. A little about the man behind the mask- I'm a single dad of two, and I work in Payroll/HR/Benefits consulting. Because of that, I stay pretty busy, unfortunately. As such, replies from me will probably be sparse. When I'm not busy with work and my beautiful daughters, I like to read, write terrible poetry and half-finished stories, and peruse Netflix instead of sleep.
Now on to the RP bits since this is an RP site: I have very little experience with role playing in general, so be gentle. I was a part of a forum that was tied to an online text-based RPG 15 years ago where I did IC newscasts for the game, and that's the closest that I've ever come to a format like this one. More general RP experience: I've played D&D off an on for over a decade, but that's about it.
As I've told some of those who have asked, I'm not ready to start an RP here yet, but I do have a couple of ideas that I'm flushing out. I just need to find the right combination of time in my life, desire in my heart, and inspiration in my mind. Hopefully, those all coalesce sooner rather than later so that we can start going on adventures together.
