There are some in the world who believe that Magic is evil and all those who possess it, are inherently evil and should be put to death in one form or another. There are those that believe that Magic is a part of us all and is crucial to keeping the world around them in existence or something along those lines of grandeur. The lasses and laddies to fill this thread will be the critical/key player's in the Court of Nethia and the Empire it will soon become...

There will be more added to this Intro of sorts, when I have time to write it all out. Battling typos and afterschool stuff at the moment, so 'tis difficult to get to the keyboard...

Back Story:
Though Jocelynn is a good five years her brother's senior, she still looks younger thanks to the elven blood that pulses through her veins. Her mother, Esme, is of Elvhan descent, or The Kindred, a Princess among her own people and an introduction of "New Blood" to the Pure Bloodlines that had reigned the realms for so long. The birth of Jocelynn was a trying one, with her father being more than twice her mother's size, the midwives predicted a baby that would be the size of a giant more than that of an elf halfbreed.

Her mother's magical ancestry had skipped Esme, only in the working of the elements as her potions were the best in the. (at the time), 5 Kingdoms, but had manifested themselves in Jocelynn at an early age. An age young enough to blame on "a child being a child" or some other excuse a parent or caretaker would say when trying to cover up an unwanted characteristic in the offspring.

As she grew, she had noticed that there were some differences in herself that other children didn't seem to have any real issues with. For instance, most little girls didn't see Spectre's or have things move on their own accord. Esme witnessing the torments her daughter had started experiencing, reached out to the Elvhan in order to ease her daughter's troubles. The truce was broken shortly after Esme's marriage to a Mortal even if it was more of a love match than the political one everyone had originally claimed it to be.

"Only the Kindred can survive The Dhialdin... If she is to survive, she will be one to help heal the lands... Or help bring in its destruction..."

Esme, hearing the words and knowing that they were more or less a prophecy that would mean an end that no one would like eventually, agreed in order to save her child.
