Mirimah Pilindiel

Basics
Nickname:: Miri
Race:: Half-elf
Age:: 26
Sex:: Female
Orientation:: Bi-sexual

Details
Height:: 5' 9"
Weight:: 132 lbs
Appearance:: Inspiration 1 Inspiration 2
Standing at five feet nine inches Mirimah has a lean light build with light curves to her hips and bosom. Her light build can often belie the muscle underneath and many have underestimated her strength. She has a softly angular face, with high cheekbones, a rounded chin, strong jawline, and hazel-brown eyes that sometimes appear almost orange in the right lighting. Mirimah's skin has a light undertone, but one can tell that she has lived much of her life outside as it has a slight sun-kissed appearance. Her hair, a brown with reddish overtones, reaches just below the middle of her back, and messily cut bangs sometimes cover her eyes.

Mirimah keeps herself simply decorated, often taking things she finds in the natural world to do so. She has a few rings in each of her ears, one in each lobe and two in her cartilage of her left ear. Besides her earrings the only other jewelry she wears are two brooch pins with beading with her fur collar and cloak, and a simple silver locket that was her mother's. She does not have any tattoos, but has been known to paint decorations on her face and body, both for fun and camouflage purposes. Usually she will have a dutch braid on each side of her head, pulling her hair away from her face, with everything then being pulled into a loose braid. This helps keep it out of her face, and sometimes she will wear it loose or with more decorative braids, and will often weave a feather or something she considers interesting/pretty into her hair.

Mirimah usually prefers to wear light and simple clothing. Usually consisting of a loose sleeveless deep v-neck muted blue tunic that is open on the sides past her hips and hangs between her legs in the front and back, coming to a soft point just before her knees. Underneath she wears a fitted sleeveless v-neck chemise. Both are kept in place with a wide leather cincher, that has some woven decorations on it, and holds her coin purse, a small belt knife, water skin, and a leather pouch with some herbs and medicine. Atop this she also wears a shaggy mottled grey wool collar, that sometimes is worn on top of a cloak, that is kept in place with two brooch pins and beading in between. Along her arms you will simply find a pair of leather bracers. On her legs she usually wears dark fitted breeches with leather thigh guards on top and leather boots that reach above the knee.

At first glance, most will easily see Mirimah as human. But upon closer inspection her elven heritage is spotted in her pointed ears, the litheness of her build, and her unsuspecting strength and durability.
Personality:: Upfront Mirimah can seem aloof and sometimes cold, she has definitely built up walls around herself and does not trust easily. In fact many who have met her have described her as prideful, stubborn, and often has a disregard for rules. And in all honesty they aren't entirely wrong. Usually she prefers to do things on her own and will not ask for help, she can be rather hard headed sometimes, and she has broken a few laws in her days. But these descriptions are also coming from strangers who don't know the whole story.

Mirimah is indeed prideful, but that is because for most of her life she has been forced to prove herself to gain any acceptance. And she has put a lot of time and practice into her skills and abilities. What many have described as stubborn, is in fact a person who feels very strongly and is often willing to hold her ground. Strong-headed is something she has been all her life, even as a child, and it won't be changed now. And for her entire existence the rules and laws have often been used against her, or have been ignored because she is neither only human or elf. So forgive her if she does not feel obligated to follow such loosely followed societal constructs.

Deep down though, Mirimah is a free-spirited being. She loves adventure, is curious about her world, and is extremely loyal and protective of those that she has allowed within her walls. She is not cruel and understands the value of kindness. Being on her own she has had to build her own ideas of the world and how things function. She has her own devised set of morals and most definitely beats to her own drum.

Demiray is a very straight forward bird. He has no need to follow human constructs of manners and despises non-sense. He can have an odd-sense of humor, but helps stabilize Mirimah's sometimes rash decisions. Though he himself does not often display human emotions, being with Mirimah has allowed him to better understand them.
Weapons:: Mirimah's primary weapons are a bow that she built herself and a pair of dual swords. Beyond these she does carry with her a small knife tucked into her boot (for added protection), a small belt knife that she usually uses for collecting herbs, and a hunting knife.

Demiray is also more than capable of helping in a fight, his sharp talons are more than able to do damage to a foe. And Mirimah's connection with him all her to use him to get better perspectives within a fight.

Background
Mirimah is the result of a casual evening her mother had with a human merchant that briefly visited her clan. Mirmah's mother, Evelyn, grew up within a clan that harbored ill feelings towards humans. The clan elders did their best to instill in all young elves that humans were a disease upon the earth, who did not value the bounties of nature, and were beneath the elven folk. Some of these feelings likely originated from a long history of elves and humans having differing beliefs, and the longer lives of the elves often instilled them with more wisdom and sense of superiority. Because of these sentiments, Evelyn's parent's were outraged once they learned their daughter was pregnant with a half-human child. Refusing to abort the pregnancy, Evelyn was banished by the clans elders, and was forced to leave her home.

Evelyn was 22 and three months pregnant when she was forced to leave her clan. Eventually Evelyn met the healer, Neila, of a small village who was willing to offer her a place to stay in exchange for help around her cottage and assistance with patients, as Evelyn was also a skilled healer. The village accepted Evelyn well enough, but she was fairly certain that it was only out of respect for Neila that some of the villagers remained civil with her. Nonetheless, Neila was a kind soul who did seem to care for Evelyn and helped her during a difficult time. Evelyn's pregnancy progressed normally, and she was filled with joy at the prospects of the life she was carrying within her womb. And when she finally went into labor, she was ready to finally meet the being she had carried for nine months. But Evelyn was not prepared for the long and painful labor she had to endure before Mirimah was born. Even Neila has commented on how long Evelyn's labor was. However, something else happened during Mirimah's birth that usually overshadows Evelyn's labor pains. As Evelyn labored, a mated pair of wolves stalked the edge of Neila's property, one was the darkest black and the other was the brightest of whites, the full moon illuminating their forms. Their attention focused on the cottage the entire time they circled the perimeter. After the excruciating hours of labor came to a close, Mirimah gave the first crying wail of life and her cry was soon echoed by the howls of the mated wolves. After passing a wrapped Mirimah to Evelyn, Neila glanced out the window to find the two wolves had left. Mirimah heard this story often as she grew up, both from Neila and her Mother, but neither gave any indication as to what it meant.

Mirimah grew up learning herbalism from her Mother and Neila, though she never truly had a healer's touch. Instead she proved to be more skilled at hunting and trapping. Both of which she learned from her Mother, along with how to wield dual swords, a common weapon choice within her Mother's clan. Growing up Mirimah loved being in the wilderness, exploring everything nature had to offer her, the simplicity of it, and the solitude. So it only made sense that Mirimah was alone in the woods, when she learned something peculiar about herself. Practicing with her bow, 13 year old Mirimah was focusing on the the bulls eye of a target when her sight went out of focus and she saw another part of the forest, but she knew that part of the woods was a mile from where she presently was. Her vision soon focused back onto her target, but she lowered her bow staring at it in confusion. Mirimah took a deep breath, trying to shake it off. Raising her bow again she took aim, but it happened again, this time she was staring at herself, but from behind. Mirimah spun on her heel, her bow still raised. Searching behind her, she finally spotted a white falcon in a tree a few yards from where she stood. The falcon unnerved her as it stared back, it held an odd intelligence within its brown eyes. Mirimah began to slowly lower her bow, when a soft voice echoed through her mind,
'Hello, Mirimah.'
Mirimah quickly raised her bow back up, aiming at the bird as his head cocked in her direction.
'Now, now. There is no need for violence.'
Mirimah's eyes were wide as she stared in disbelief, she could hear her heart pounding in her ears as she tried to speak.
'Hu...Hu..how? What...what are you?' Her bow still raised as she stared at the falcon.
'A gyrfalcon, I would have thought that obvious.'
Mirimah stared in silence at the bird, her mind reeling with the fact that this creature understood her, the truly confusing part was that she seemed to sense a hint of amusement from him.
'You can call me Demiray. As for how we are communicating. It is because you have the Sight Mirimah, as do I. And we are bonded because it.'
Mirimah absently relaxed her grip on her bow and lowered it to her side. She sensed no ill intention from the falcon, and what was this sight that he spoke of?
'Is that...what happened before? With my vision, I mean.'
'Yes.'
Demiray stretched, flapping his wings, eventually flying closer to her, as he went into more detail, to explain the Sight. Mirimah learned that he became aware of her existence and their bond through a vision. Demiray explained some what Mirimah may expect in the coming weeks, as her abilities began to manifest themselves. Eventually the two wandered back to Mirimah's home, where Mirimah decided to keep her revelation hidden from Neila and her Mother until she understood it more.

Despite her plan to keep Demiray secret from her Mother, the changes the Sight began to bring about in Mirimah eventually gave her away. Within a few weeks Mirimah's senses became heightened, she could share her vision with Demiray, which often happened sporadically as things leveled out, and a sort of wildness seem to come over Mirimah's mannerisms. So when her Mother confronted her about it, she finally explained it all. To Mirimah's surprise her Mother responded with a soft smile and a hug. It turned out that her Mother's clan had stories about the Sight. The only part that seemed to confuse her Mother was that the Sight was an ability shared between Lera and Varg, none of the stories spoke of humans or elves possessing the gift. Sadly her Mother was not the only one to notice changes within her daughter. The villagers noticed the odd changes in the child, and some became unnerved by it. There were those that already held some disdain for Evelyn and her daughter. Old prejudices against elves seemed to be hard to snuff out. But most kept their distance and only spoke about them behind closed doors, mostly out of respect for Neila. But some became more open about their prejudices and began directing them towards Mirimah. Eventually Mirimah opted to make herself more scarce within the village, she was more than content spending her time with Demiray in the woods.

This tactic served Mirimah and the villagers well for a time. But when Mirimah turned 16 Neila died. Despite it being the result of old age, there were some who placed some blame on Mirimah. Being a child of both human and elf, some already considered her an ill omen. Add the strange and animal like tendencies into the mix and some were willing to place Neila's death on Mirimah's head. Because of this Mirimah started being harassed by some of the towns people. Most of the time she could avoid them, but she did still live with her Mother in Neila's old cottage, Evelyn having taken over Neila's spot as the town's healer after her death. Eventually Mirimah opted to move into the woods more, only coming to her Mother's cottage when she knew others wouldn't be there. However, it didn't seem to be enough. Travelers from another village came through one week to trade and brought with them stories of a beast like human that had ravaged their village. Luring children into the woods, destroying food stores, and attacking people. This lead to a discussion of the beast like half human that lived in the woods around their forest.

Mirimah was preparing a rabbit she trapped earlier that day at her camp, when Demiray's warning came to her. A group of men in the village were coming for her with torches and pitchforks. Decreeing that she must be the beast that had ravaged the neighboring village. Despite suspecting this might happen Mirimah was filled with a sense of rage. How could they turn on her when she and her Mother had done nothing but cared for these people when they were at their weakest. Standing up quickly Mirimah sheathed her swords and reached for bow and quiver, preparing to knock an arrow. 'Mirimah. You cannot fight them. There are too many.'
Mirimah gritted her teeth as another flash of the mob appeared in her vision. 'I have to try! I will not be defeated so easily.'
'And die because of your pride.'
Mirimah stood with her bow raised, breathing steadily preparing her shot, she would not be scared so easily. Another image flashed across her vision, it was her Mother this time running. Then she heard it.
"Mirimah!" Foot steps crashed behind her and then her Mother was there.
Mirimah spun, lowering her bow, as she made eye contact with her Mother.
"You must go! Now! They are coming for you." Evelyn took off the bag she had slung across her body and shoved it at Mirimah. "I have tried to calm their fears, but they will not listen. They believe you to be the one to ravaged the neighboring village." Evelyn had grabbed Mirimah's face between her hands, her gentle voice speaking with firmness. She could see the anger grow in her daughter's eyes.
"Then I will prove to them the beast I can be! Let them come. I am tired of this."
"Miri, no. You do not mean that. Please go now." Evelyn stared at her daughter.
The breath went out of Mirimah's lungs and she folded forward, embracing her Mother and hiding her tears in her shoulder.
Giving Mirimah a squeeze before pulling her back to look her in the eyes again, Evelyn wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"Remember you are stronger than them, you are more cunning, you are more swift, and you are more kind. You are not a beast my darling. You are of the wilderness and it scares them." Yelling could be heard in the distance.
"Now hurry! We must both be out of here before they arrive. Go and do not return here Mirimah."
Mirimah looked at her Mother one last time, holding back the tears.
'We must go now!' Demiray's voice cutting straight through her mind.
Mirimah swung the bag and her bow over her shoulder and looked at her Mother one last time.
"I love you." Her voice a soft whisper.
"I love you too."
And then they both turned from each other and ran their separate ways, never looking back.

This was almost ten years ago. Now Mirimah is 26 and she wanders around with Demiray offering her services as skilled hunter, tracker, and every so often a mercenary. Most of her time is spent on her own in the woods. But she still spends some of her time collecting herbs and making various medicines and salves from them, as her Mother taught her long ago.

Skills
Hunting/Trapping:: Mirimah learned from her Mother how to be a successful hunter. She now puts these skills to use to help her earn a living. Hunting for people who hire her and selling the by-products from her own hunts for a profit. She is also extremely comfortable within the wilderness and so is often hired out to complete tasks for those who are less at home in the woods.
Herbalism:: Living with two skilled healers, Mirimah learned about the various plants that can be found in the wilderness. Which ones can help you or cause harm to people. She does not have the same skill with healing that her mother possessed, but has a working knowledge of how to create tonics and medicines.
The Sight:: Mirimah's biggest secret is that she possesses the ability of the Sight. She prefers to keep this ability to herself, because so little is known about it. And a few villages have expressed in some of her inquiries, that is in ill omen. Presently the Sight grants her with heightened senses, allowing her better eyesight, hearing, and a sense of smell. It also allows her to communicate with Demiray and they can see through each other's eyes. Because of their bond, it also allows Mirimah to understand animals through Demiray and for Demiray to understand humans through her. The Sight also has brought a sort of animalistic wildness to Mirimah. Because the changes from the Sight started during some of her formative years into adulthood, she does not quite understand the difference this characteristic has brought to her. But many people in her travels have stated that her aura reminds them more of a beast than a human or elf. Because of this many people within villages seem to, out of instinct, be uneasy around Mirimah.

Other
Personal Weaknesses::
>>➸Demiray's Safety
>>➸Her Mother's safety
>>➸Tries to keep the identity of her Mother secret for her protection (most value her skills as a healer though and aren't likely to harm her)
>>➸Deep personal desire to be accepted (despite he making it seem like she doesn't care)
>>➸She actually isn't a stone cold killer

Dragon Age: Inquisition Inquisitor Profile
Lyra Lavellan

Basics
Race:: Elven
Age:: 27
Sex:: Female
Orientation:: Hetero
Romance:: Solas

Details
Class:: Warrior
Weapon Choice:: Sword and Shield
Specialization:: Champion
Religion:: Elvhen Pantheon
Appearance::
Personality:: Lyra is a very straight-forward, minimal nonsense person. She values honesty, loyalty, and passion. She will always state the truth, and is often seen as blunt and brutish to some. She does not like dilly-dallying and has a hard time being still. She is a friend that will always have your back and will not back down in difficult situations. Sometimes this does result in her being stubborn and a little hot-headed. And because she is an elf, humans are sometimes taken aback by her sometimes brash personality, expecting elves to be more timid and quiet. Despite this strong front, she is a compassionate person and has a strong drive to protect those that she cares for. You can rely on her to always do the right thing and to be passionate about those that she truly values.

Back Story
Lyra grew up in the Lavellan Dalish clan in the Free Marches of Thedas. From the beginning she had always been a very direct child that was never afraid to speak her mind. Because of this some children thought she was overbearing, rude, and simply a brute. And in all honesty she was, until she learned better and found an appropriate outlet for her energy. Training to be a hunter within her clan, helped her fulfill a desire to be strong, capable, and eventually protect her people. It's why she eventually took Mythal's Vallaslin.

Growing up she had always been a mediocre hunter. She was average, she completed the necessary trial to be considered a hunter, but there were much better hunters within the clan. Where she excelled at though was in the fighting ring. Her choice weapons are the sword and shield, and amongst the warriors she is considered the best. Even against the older more experienced warriors she has had her fair share of wins. Because of this her Keeper tasked her to go to the Temple of Sacred Ashes and spy on the conclave intended to bring peace and end the Mage-Templar war. Following orders Lyra traveled to the Temple, thinking this mission would be straight forward and simple. Her expectations turned out to be extremely wrong and now her whole world is turned upside down.

Nira Te'bain

Basics
Nickname::
Race:: Mirialan
Age:: 19
Sex:: Female
Orientation:: Bi-sexual

Details
Height:: 5' 7"
Weight:: 133 Lbs
Appearance:: Inspiration 1 Inspiration 2
Spending most of her life training to be a Jedi has left Nira's naturally lithe body, muscular and toned. Nira has a softly angular face, with high cheek bones and a pointed chin. Her skin is a light green, with her lips being of a darker green. Her eyes are a pale seafoam green, and she has brown hair that tends to curl slightly. For most of her life Nira has had long hair, however, after starting her training as a padawan she cut her hair into a bob cut, but kept a long piece to display her padawan braid. Unlike other Mirialan's Nira has chosen to not have any face tattoos, there are many who get them after great achievements. But Nira has some mixed feelings about the custom, and has not decided to get one.

Nira usually wears clothing in the traditional Jedi style. She wears two sleeveless wrap shirts, one is a thinner white linen, while the one on top is of a thicker material, is a light blue-green, and reaches just below her hips. Over this she wears a dark blue-green long vest. All of this she cinches at her waist with a wide leather belt, that is decorated with a light teal band and silver buckle; her lightsaber is usually attached to this belt. Her pants are of a soft brown material, and her boots are of dark brown leather. She usually wears brown fabric wrapped around her arms as well as guards. She will often forgo the heavy jedi robes, but will sometimes wear them when needed.
Personality:: Nira is extremely curious and ambitious. She has a desire to learn and be a skilled Jedi. Nira only grew up on Miral for a short time before being sent to the Jedi Temple for training. In that time though her parents instilled in her a sense of wonderment at how expansive the world was. This is largely what drives her to work hard and to learn about new people and places. Nira also has a natural intelligence, that allows her to pick up on things quickly.

Nira also tends to be quite independent. She prefers to figure things out on her own and is not likely to ask for help. She can also be outspoken and tenacious. This combo can cause her to get in over her head and rush into danger.

Weapons:: Lightsaber (yellow) and sometimes a shoto lightsaber

Background
Nira's beginnings are very similar to many Jedi padawans. Born on the planet Mirial, and being of Mirialan ancestry, Nira was naturally gifted with a force sensitivity. And throughout her childhood was raised to maintain a connection with the natural world around her and to value the presence of the force. Nira was five when a Mirialan Jedi discovered her. Nira's parents relinquished her to the care of this Jedi to be brought to begin training as a Jedi. As a youngling Nira excelled through her training, many Masters commented on her natural ability to connect with the force and expected great things from her. Even Master Yoda iterated a similar comment to her after creating her lightsaber at the age of 15.

Before becoming a padawan Nira actually took some time to meet various Masters. She was aware that traditionally it was the Master that chose the padawan, and she was not one to make light of the Jedi traditions, but she wanted to ensure that whoever became her Master would be able to teach her the skills she needed. And there was a rather unrequired tradition of Mirialan Masters seeking to take on Mirialan padawan. In fact, Nira actually declined the offer of one Mirialan Jedi Master, named Siva. Nira's actions were extremely uncommon and some saw her as a fool. But she was not just going to leave her future in the hands of anyone. Nira preferred that whoever became her Master would possess the skills that she was most weak in and was different from her. She couldn't expect to grow to her full potential if her Master only showed her things she already knew.

Though following her decline of Siva's offer, she almost felt like a fool. It seemed that many Master's took great offense to her declining the offer of a Master and so she was forced to wait. She took the situation in stride and spent her time continuing to study and train herself, putting her fate in the hands of the force. Her patience eventually paid off. A Jedi master named Olin Kiles returned from a mission in the Outer Rims. He had returned with the sole purpose of reporting after the mission, but Nira made certain to introduce herself to him. She had heard stories about him, particularly his skill with the lightsaber, and she felt that he was someone she needed to know. After introducing herself to him Nira did her best to learn more about him, and eventually inquired into whether he took on padawan. He informed her that he had in the past trained padawans, but presently was not in search of training another. Though disappointed, Nira left the matter alone and left Olin to himself. The next day though she was pleasantly surprised when Olin approached her and asked if she wanted to be his padawan. He told her that after he initially dismissed her inquiry, he had a sense of making the wrong choice, and that despite him being less sensitive to ways of the force, he wasn't a fool and realized what the force was telling him.

Nira has been Olin's padawan for three years. She has gone on various missions with her Master and has learned a great deal. Recently she has been going on many more solo missions, especially since the start of the Clone Wars. Most recently she has been granted the title of a commander within their army and has had the chance to lead regiments of clone troops on various missions. Olin has told her that he suspects she will soon be ready to take the Jedi Trials.
Skills
Lightsaber combat:: Trained since she was young, Nira is a very capable lightsaber user, however she is more skilled with her force powers.
The Force:: Being Mirialan, Nira already has a natural affinity and sensitivity to the force. However, time has shown that Nira is an extremely skilled force user.
Creative thinker:: Nira is very good at thinking outside of the box, and is not willing to only rely on her Jedi skills to solve problems. While she waited to find a Master, she spent time educating herself on other skills that may be useful in the many worlds of the galaxy.

Other
Personal Weaknesses::
>>❂ Too independent - often wants to be able to show she can do things herself, and doesn't like to admit needing help
>>❂ Brash - She can sometimes be to quick to act, and forgets to put more thought into things
>>❂ Tenacious - sometimes she can hold too firmly onto things
>>❂ Ego - Nira knows she is a highly skilled padawan, many have told her so, because of this she can sometimes get a big head

Personal Strengths::
>>❂ Enduring - just because something is hard, doesn't mean it isn't worth doing it. She will not give up easily
>>❂ Intelligent - she has a natural intelligence, that makes her keen to learn and picks up on things easily
>>❂ Clever - along with her natural intelligence, Nira can be quite clever in sticky situations
>>❂ Compassionate - Nira is always willing to offer a helping hand and many seek her company during hard times
>>❂ Force powers - Nira is a very skilled padawan, she is quite force sensitive and has shown to be extremely capable at learning how to use and connect with the force. For her age she has managed to begin mastering more advanced techniques.

Olin Kiles

Basics
Nickname:: none
Race:: Human
Age:: 47
Sex:: Male
Orientation:: Asexual

Details
Height::6' 0"
Weight:: 172
Appearance:: Inspiration 1
Personality:: Olin is a wizened and skilled jedi. He is quite level headed and holds a fine balance between being realistic and optimistic. Olin is very cheerful and enjoys the company of other people. He can definitely be described as an extrovert, and this trait is helped by the fact that he is quite kind. This is not to say he is impossible of being stern or straightforward, in fact his padawans would say otherwise, but even a reprimand or critique is given with true thought and care.

He also holds a very open mind to the world around him and tries to instill this into his padawans along with the customary code of the jedi.
Weapons:: Light saber (orange)

Background
Born on the planet Naboo, Olin's story is very similar to many who have joined the Jedi order. He was discovered at a young age, by a Jedi and then was brought to the temple to be trained. After many years of training, he became a padawan under a Zabrak Jedi named Petra Ko'brak. She was a very skilled Master and Olin contributes much of his combat skill to her training.

After successfully going through the Jedi trials, he was officially named a Jedi Knight. Through his years as a jedi knight he met a mandalorian named Etmere. Though a mercenary he has proven to be a valuable ally and now even aids the republic in the clone wars.

Over time Olin eventually began training padawans and became a jedi master. Most recently he agreed to take a Mirialan named Nira on as his padawan. They both share some similar ideas, but Nira is quite tenacious and energetic. They also have their differences and tend to be opposites in their skill sets, but from Olin's understanding that was why Nira inquired about being his padawan. She is indeed ambitious and persistent.
Skills
Light saber combat:: Olin is extremely skilled with the light saber. He is indeed one of the best wielders of the lightsaber within the jedi.
The Force:: Olin is skilled with the force, but is not as force sensitive as others, that's why he has focused much of his energy on his lightsaber skills.
Charismatic:: Olin is a very good people person. He makes everyone feel at ease, and he is very good at reading a person. Some of this may be helped by his force skills. But very few people actually dislike Olin.

Rp with Keksefuzzy
Cierra Nycien

Basics
Nickname::
Race:: Human
Age:: 17 (born in the winter)
Sex:: Female
Orientation:: Straight

Details
Height:: 5' 4"
Weight:: 147 Lbs
Appearance:: Inspiration 1
Cierra may be of short stature, but she is muscular. The regular training and healthy meals at Gryffin's School for Magic allowed Cierra to grow from the "Shrimp" many of her classmates called her into a strong and rather curvy young woman. Cierra has a pointed jaw, with a squared chin, full lips, and a broad nose. Her skin is a dark warm brown that contrasts with her striking silver blue eyes; which are her favorite feature. She has unruly thick curly hair that is a dark black color, with caramel tones to it, her ends have also become slightly bleached from the sun and appear to be a light brown. She does her best to keep her hair back, often pulling the sides into a few rows of braids. But unless she is in need of keeping her hair out of her face, she often leaves it loose.

Cierra's attire has been dictated by the school she has been attending for the past eight years. And so you will often find her in a pair of faded black trousers, a soft white undershirt, tall leather boots, and a dark grey blue overcoat with burnished gold trim. Cierra also possesses a cloak pin that was given to her by her Mother before she was sent off to the school. It is tarnished brass at this point, but is in the shape of swirls like the sea she hails from and has wire wrapped in spirals around it. Cierra does not keep any other material items. She has had to live all her life without excess and has preferred not having the extra attachment.
Personality::
At Cierra's core she is passionate, kind, and tough. She ultimately has a very positive outlook on life and so prefers to focus on the positive rather than the negative. However, Cierra has had a hard life that has taught her how to survive. Because of this many people only see a ruthless and snooty being. Being born into poverty and then joining an elite school for magic made Cierra a target for the other student's torment. Growing up in such an environment has resulted in Cierra becoming self conscious of her roots, and trying to fit in with her fellow students who had much wealthier upbringings. Often this means that she has learned to replicate some of their habits and mannerisms, often looking down on those below them. This also meant that Cierra had to be able to defend herself, and what better way to defend yourself than to become better than everyone else. So she studied hard and practiced diligently, resulting in her being able to be cunning, and wield her magic well.

Weapons::

Background
Cierra was born into poverty. Her parent's were fisherman in a very small and poor port town. At the beginning of her life she grew up learning how to fish, how to read the weather, how to fix nets, where and when to look for the most fish, and how to be on the water. And as a young child she didn't know any better and loved it. Of course she was aware of how sometimes they were only able to have one meal a day, or when her parents watched her eat, without eating any themselves. But she also knew how hard her parent's worked and loved her. And her parent's proved that love many times.

When Cierra was five they learned that she possessed the ability to manifest and manipulate ice. They learned of it when they were out on a fishing trip and Cierra froze the bait bucket into solid piece of ice. As she continued to grow so did her powers. Cierra did her best to control her ability as much as possible, but she didn't know her limits and was still trying to grasp her abilities. And so accidents sometimes happened. Nothing too dangerous, mostly a boat frozen here or there, ice sporadically appearing if she was upset, and so on. But her parent's were worried, because as she got older her abilities became stronger. Wanting what was best for her they began looking into how they could send her to one of the fancy magic schools in the big cities.

Which is how they stumbled across Gryffin's School of Magic, which offered a few scholarships every year to less fortunate individuals. Her parent's saved up money for months to cover the costs of traveling to the city for an interview with the school. Finally when Cierra was nine, in the late summer, they all traveled to the school. Cierra went before a board of professors where she displayed her abilities to them, and answered their questions, before returning back to her parents while they deliberated. To her parent's joy and sadness, Cierra was accepted and would receive a full scholarship to the school. But because school would be starting soon, Cierra would not get to return home first. And so her parent's left without her, giving her loving good byes. Both glad to see that their daughter would be cared for and have an opportunity at a good future, but sorrowful that it may be a long time before they got to see her again.

Cierra learned fast that first year that she was different from the others. All the others grew up with wealth and privilege and did their best to make sure Cierra knew that she didn't. So she did what her parent's taught her to do, she worked hard, she adapted, and she persevered. Even at the tender age of ten she understood the gift that her parents worked so hard to give her and she was not going to squander it. Because of it she became one of the top magic wielders at the school, often receiving top marks in her classes. But because of this her only competition was really herself and so she was always looking for ways to prove herself. Especially to her classmates who often tried to remind her that she was of low birth and had nothing.

Which is why after spending a free day in the markets of the city, she so willing said yes to a stranger who offered her a legendary opportunity. A chance to join the Flytes, and become a Dragon Rider of myth.

Sigh is neither tall nor short, but is instead falls somewhere in the middle when it comes to height. Unlike some air genasi her build is not overly lithe, but instead fairly muscular and toned. She was graced with the curves of a woman though and has a fairly average bosom, balanced out by her hips. Her skin is a soft pale blue tone and her eyes area a soft grey in color. She has white freckles that are splattered across her nose and cheeks, and can also be found on her shoulders, knees, and hips. Across her cheek bones she also has a smattering of larger freckles, these are often diamond in shape, and can also be found on her hips. She has a soft oval face, with a small nose, and curious upturned eyes that are a soft grey in color. Her lips are round with little to no Cupid's bow and are a dark purplish blue color. Sigh has pointed ears, likely a gift from some long lost elven ancestor that she never got to meet. Her hair is a dark blue color with some natural highlights that run through it. Her hair naturally has a slight wave to it, but it never mounts into an actual curl, just enough to help give it volume or make it poofy. She usually keeps it about shoulder length, and usually keeps it up in two space buns atop her head. With short bangs and some side pieces pulled out to frame her face.

Thea is a relatively tall and very muscled woman. She has trained for most of her life to be fast, strong, and capable in both life and combat. She has naturally light skin, however, it often has been warmed to a golden color by the sun. Her hair is a rich mixture of black and dark brown and falls thickly to her lower back. Primarily she keeps it in a braid, but when she is celebrating amongst her people she will adorn it with beads and rings. Her eyes are her most stunning and recognizable feature, they stand out against her golden skin and dark hair with their light hazel shade, and have even unnerved some people with their sharpness. Thea does have some Flakari regalia that she has fashioned for some of the secret celebrations her few remaining people of her clan put on. But you will mostly find Thea in her piecemealed armor, that consists of a chest piece, a full left arm piece, most of her right arm, and shin guards, a pair of breeches, a tunic under her chest plate, tall leather boots, and a tattered cloak that fastens to her armor.
Personality:: Thea is a brash, capable, and unruly woman. She grew up within the Flakari Clans and that has left her with a bit of a ferocious streak, it tends to show up in her readiness to take on anyone and anything. It has definitely got her in trouble over the years, but her intelligence and capability has kept her out of any serious trouble. At her core, Thea has a great love for her fallen people and largely lost culture. She does her best to uphold, practice, and remember the lessons she was taught as a child, but she cannot deny there is a streak of hatred and vileness that runs through her heart.

Weapons:: Thea is skilled enough to make almost anything into a weapon, but she reliably carries a sword, a short sword, and several daggers with her.

Background
Born amongst the Flakari, the clans of the South, Thea grew up living in the wilds of the Southern lands. Learning about the wilderness, her people of the past, and the trials that comes with being a Flakari. The Flakari are known for their strong, ferocious warriors. Some would suggest there is something mystical and unnatural about their warrior's ferocity, but if you were to ask anyone about it, many would dismiss it as simple gossip. Much of this knowledge stems from stories of long ago battles between the kingdoms to the North and the Flakari Clans in the south, as no battles have taken place within the recent history. But unbeknownst to many that have dismissed it as gossip, there is in fact a long running bout of magic that runs through the Flakari Clans. A magic that brings out the inner beast of all its trained warriors and aids them in their battles. The means to unlock this secret magic is held by the shaman's of the clans and bestowed upon them only after they have passed the trials. Something that Thea never got to take part in.

Thea was 16 when her clan fell at the hands of the Northern Kingdom of Daicathlon, one year shy of being able to prove herself in the trials and be welcomed amongst the warriors who had passed the trials before her. Somehow the warriors of the kingdom had discovered the secret to their clans abilities and sought to oust them from ever existing. The warriors of Daicathlon came after them with wild claims of treachery against them, but they all knew it was an attack fueled by a fear of what their clans might do. And so the Flakari Clans were crushed by a gruesome siege from the Kingdom of Daicathlon.

Thea survived the massacre through pure luck and she made her way to the very Kingdom that destroyed her people. Both as a means of survival and in hopes of seeking retribution for her lost clan. Thea has heard stories that her clan was betrayed by an outsider who was allowed in from the Kingdom of Daicathlon as a means of peace. Some say that the traitor was killed in the battle and others say he was cursed by one of their Shaman's. Thea has not found any clues to its validity or as to who this traitor may have been. It is a small part of her now that still seeks justice for her lost clans. Any mention of Flakari is now met with a heavy hand within the Kingdom and more and more people are being silenced, both those who are of Daicathlon and amongst the survivors of her own people. It feels as if a darkness is growing and pressing its weight upon them more and more each day. Thea has been considering more and more each day on if it pays to stay anymore or if it would better to pay her debts and move on to somewhere new.

Ian is prone to being a worrisome person. He was always much more cautious than his sister or those around him. But his training with the Fakari Shaman's and Warrior Commander's helped him learn how to harness his anxious tendencies and use them to his benefit. This left Ian a rather calculating and observant man.

Weapons::

Background
Ian often kept to himself. His sister was always much more outgoing than him and fit the mold of a future ruler much more than he did. He knew that and was perfectly fine with it. His mother and father of course still expected him to learn and train hard. A reasonable expectation for the son of the leader of all the Fakari clans. So as Ian grew up he took his lessons seriously, knowing that one day he may advise his sister as she lead the Fakari people. Ian excelled much more in his studies with the Fakari Shaman's. The history of his people and their rituals was something he cared more deeply for, his skills and interest in their combat legacy less so. He fully understood the power and uniqueness of their abilities, but he was not so keen on the combat training, and he also had a hard time getting the hang of things, something his fellow trainees were all to willing to point out. Most of the time Ian would spend much of his combat training just imagining all the awful things his peers were probably thinking, things that some of their Warrior Commander's had told him themselves. However, after visiting one Fakari tribe and training with their Commander, Ian met Thea. A brute of a girl, she was unruly and could be brutal in the training ring, but to Ian she was his friend. She was one of the few people who didn't tease him when he struggled during combat training, instead she actually helped, sternly corrected his form when he needed it, but never with harsh words. It was a balm to some of Ian's bruised confidence and it gave him a chance to grow and get stronger. Ian would never become one of the clan's strong and renowned warriors, but he had the potential to become a great Shaman, and as Thea helped him improve in his combat training, he helped her in her Shaman studies.

From there things went smoothly, until they weren't. The Fakari were a self sufficient people, but the clans were struggling. The world around them was expanding, as well as encroaching on the Fakari. The mountains were not as fearsome as they once were to outsiders and with that outsiders began to see the Fakari as less fearsome. Resulting in more attacks and attempts to overtake the Fakari and their hold on the mountains. No one succeeded, but as more attacks occurred, the Fakari dwindled, it was like a death from a thousand cuts. And so Ian's father sought to bring the Fakari out of their isolating ways and join the modern world a bit more. To accomplish this, he sought an allyship with the adjacent Kingdom of Daicathalon. Until this time the Fakari had existed alone. Yes merchants and traders came through, but the Fakari took care of themselves, they did not need to form bonds and align with other kingdoms. At least that was how they had been able to survive in the past. As part of this new allyship they would take in one of the son's of the ruling family of Daicathalon and in exchanged Ian's sister would go to Daicathalon. A peace offering in the form of a cultural exchange. Ian's sister would train in the ways of the Daicathalon and this noble son of Daicathalon would learn the ways of the Fakari.

Ian hated this idea. He was one that aligned with some of the older Fakari warriors. Outsiders could not be trusted with their greatest secrets.
