Hello, I am Baobei! I’m 20 years old and I’ve been roleplaying for about seven or eight years. Most of my experience has been on Discord, but due to a few uncomfortable situations and the fact that my close friends don’t play anymore, I’ve abandoned the hobby almost completely, aside from a few rare moments. I really want to start interacting with people and roleplaying again. I am looking forward to finding a good community here!
- Length and Availabity:
I am very flexible regarding the length of my replies depending on the setting; sometimes I prefer a more descriptive, prolix style, and other times I prefer clear, concise text that says exactly what needs to be said. It mostly depends on the theme and the era in which the story takes place. I tend to write longer descriptions for important or impactful moments purely for immersion. When a scene is dialogue-heavy, I try to keep it more dynamic.
About my availability... I work and study but I'll try my best to always answer within one or two days.
- My Style:
I narrate always in third person, settled on the past tense. Most of the time omniscient perspective, though sometimes more focused on my character. I do not enjoy writing in first person at all.
My dialogues are always writtten in quotes, usually woven into the narration depending on the paragraph structure and the intensity of the scene.
- Themes:
Original characters and plots are my main focus. It is very rare for me to engage with specific fandoms, but with a good premise and an interesting plot, I’m open to almost anything! I'd prefer to make OC's for those fandoms instead of acting on canon characters.
Fandoms I love:
- Sexual content/Gore:
I tend to include erotic moments in my roleplays, but I treat them as an element of the story rather than the main focus. I am willing to do smut-focused plots if the story has substance, but "porn no plot" is not my thing (though I don't mind starting a story mid smut scene for introduction purposes).
I am open to most of the spice, but I have a big no-no on the following: Incest, sexual assault, dubious consent, and minors.
- Favorite Tropes/Genres:
Slow burn: Slow burn is my favorite genre/trope in books and roleplays. Even more when it's laced with misunderstandings, forbbiden love, poor communication and the good old biblical level of greed.
