Hello everyone!
I'm Valerian and I'm a roleplayer. So, that's quite a confession to make :) Now I just have to figure out what else to say. So, let's start with the basics. I'm male, in my late twenties, heterosexual, Dutch, and an avid reader and writer.
As you might have guessed, I came here looking for the opportunity to roleplay. I however should warn you that I have lots of obligations, so I won't always manage to post replies right away although I will respond at least once per week. My posts will generally be about a paragraph in length although that will vary a lot with how much is happening. If we are in the middle of intense action, posts will generally be shorter for instance, if only because I really hate determining what my partner does in a given situation. It's your character after all, not mine.
But enough about me. I guess you're not reading this for me, but for potential roleplays. I find that I enjoy all kinds of things, but one thing that's important for me is that there is chemistry between the characters and I really like it if a romance blossoms between them. Other than that, I have broad interests and enjoy both modern and historical roleplays, as well as more fantastical ones. Below, I'll give brief outlines of some ideas that I have. Of course, I'm always open to discuss any ideas you may have and nothing is set in stone.
In my roleplays, I like having a mix of plot and smut, I can't give an exact ratio, it really depends on the story and how things develop, but I like both being present at least. Romantically, I like things to focus on our characters but I will of course be writing NPC's as well and expect and hope that you will do the same.
In a partner, there are several things I'm looking for. First of all, I like it if we both have a share in driving the plot. And I have to confess, I like it when there are surprises. Of course, I also really appreciate a sense of humour and think that it is absolutely vital to be able to communicate well.
In terms of characters for my partner, I have to confess, I am drawn to strong women who know what they want. I admire confidence and presence. Of course, she shouldn't be dictatorial and speak only in blunt commands, but I like her to have a strong will. Another trait that I like seeing is
Physically, I can't help but be drawn to women who are a little heavier or Rubenesque, and who also are a little older. I also like it when there are little (or not so little) imperfections. They not only make things feel more real, but very often, they also make a woman that much more beautiful. Another thing that I really appreciate in woman is if she has at least some traces of hair down there. But, of course, the physical aspects are the least important in comparison to things like personality.
I've noticed that lots of people here give short lists of the things that they really like and dislike sexually, and I figured that I might as well do the same. To start on a positive note, here is a short lists of things that I would really like to see in our roleplay.
And here are a few things that I dislike (mind you, some things can still occur in the story, just not within the sexual bits).
And finally, what I hope you will be interested in, some proposals for plots:
1. The Empress and her Consort: Your character is a ruler or important noblewoman who, for some reason, is unmarried. Perhaps she never was, perhaps she's a widor. She takes my character as her new husband, perhaps because she likes him or it could also be political pressure. Either way, he becomes her consort and together, they have to maintain their reign.
2. An Alliance of Elf and Dwarf: Everyone knows that dwarfs and elves don't get along all that well, but not always. In this story, I would love to play an elf who gets romantically involved with a dwarf, and, of course, that leads to all kinds of social issues because such things are far from accepted. It could also be a story of them building a necessary alliance that will save both their peoples, just as an idea. Or it could be something purely personal.
3. New Management: Your character is an experienced C-suit officer who specializes in taking over flagging companies to turn them around. She is known as stern but highly capable woman. My character is a younger employee at such a company that she has taken over and comes to her attention because of his capabilities. This could lead into a romance and a wonderful partnership.
4. Veni. Vidi. Amavi: First of all, I'm deeply sorry for mangling famous words like this. The alternative however was to mess up the Latin and I still fear my teacher enough to never do that willingly ;) Secondly, this is a plot idea. The basic idea is that my character belongs to the Roman (or another civilised state's) aristocracy who comes to the frontier in an official position as a step up to something greater. There, he somehow meets your character, an important woman in the barbarian tribes who live across the border. They fall in love, even though both sides would very strongly oppose such a relationship.
5. From Partners to Lovers: The basic idea here is that our characters already know each other and decide to start something like a restaurant together. While working on this, they however fall deeply in love.
6. The Witch of the Woods: The Great Forest of Merlan is a place that is feared by anyone with a shred of sanity within them. It is a savage and wild place and few who enter it ever emerge. One of the reasons for this is your character, the Witch of the Woods. She is a mage with great power over nature who keeps this as her sanctuary. My character is one of those who enter the woods, fleeing from his enemies until he is cornered at the edge of the forest. In desperation, he enters it, but what will he find?
7. Lost Souls: Lots of people are looking for a deeper meaning to life. My character is one of them. He is seeking and meets your character, who basically claims a connection to higher powers, whether this is true or not and they might be good or evil powers. But whatever the situation, she leads a cult and my character is the latest recruit.
And here are a few pairings for which no plot exists but that I think would still be interesting to explore. In all cases, I'll list the role I'd prefer first and pairings where both would interest me are marked with an asterisk. And, of course, recombinations could be very interesting as well.
