hey! i am metaldryad. i am kinda new to the forum RP thing, so formatting posts and stuff like that isn't really in my cards yet. i figured i should make a post, throw my chips in. i've been writing for a couple years, i would describe myself as an "advanced literate" writer? i've seen people use that term in their bios so i think it's apt for the way i write. don't worry— i write with much more elegance and... properness, when i am actually roleplaying. i don't type in all lowercase all the time! i tend to enjoy writing that has strong worldbuilding behind it, a world you can truly explore and get lost in for hours. I find a lot of these worlds and their wonderful stories attached, come in the form of a video game. worlds like the ones we see in skyrim, the witcher, elden ring, and cyberpunk 2077 to name a few of the ones i find most enthralling. each of them are full to the gills with rich lore, culture, stories and experiences that are made with care. that's a good setting, and a good setting is how i make my characters. i like to make them fit in to the lore, and truly immerse myself in it. i tend to write quite theatrically, verbose and dramatic, and i tend toward powerful dialogue. i wrote a long list of genres and medias i like, that i'd love to write a roleplay about, and that's in my "about" section on my profile. if any of those grab your eye, and you think you'd like to write with me, message me or comment!

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
