Look man, I'll be honest... it's been a wild ride to say the least. While the above text is still accurate, this entire thread comes off as way more pretentious than I care to. While a full on re-write of it is probably in order, that'll be a task for a version of me that isn't awake at 2 am. For those of you who remember me and how I dropped off the face of the earth, well I'm back. Surprise! The spoiler bellow will give a more detailed explanation on where exactly I've been for nearly a year and will hopefully be at least somewhat satisfying, even if it does nothing to remedy the damage caused. For those who are new to me feel free to ignore that and jump down to the rest of the post (or don't, you're a grown ass adult. Besides how am I going to know if you read it anyways? I guess you could tell me if you really wanted but that's a lot of effort. Wait what was I doing again? Oh yeah, the RT... back to that). All the information down there as of my one half asleep skim of it is still accurate, although it will more than likely get edited over the coming days as I get back into the grove of writing and find new sources of inspiration.
So... our story begins back in September last year. I live on the outskirts of Mobile Alabama, right on the Florida/Alabama border. As some of you may be able to tell from just that time frame... That's when hurricane Sally came through. I woke up at 3 am to a large oak tree crashing through the master bathroom of our house, damn near crushing the people sleeping only a couple feet away. We were without power for nearly 3 weeks, and between trying to get the house fixed and working 60 hours a week (I worked at Waffle House at the time for even more context), Writing became something that simply wasn't feasible. Could I have logged on on mobile to shoot my writing partners DM's explaining the situation? Most definitely, however that was a stressful time and the only thing I can say to that point is that the thought never crossed my mind. That doesn't make it okay, but I cant change that now. I wish I could say things got easier, but to keep it simple they didn't. This spoiler isn't meant to complain about how hard I have/had things, nor am I seeking sympathy so for the sake of brevity I will be a little less detailed and for lack of a better term, I'll be giving the cliffnotes version from here on out. Relative in need of transplant surgery to not die ended up needing transplant sooner, single mother of 4 kids. I had to take care of them so she could get said surgery, father diagnosed with lung cancer just went into hospice care yesterday, he doesn't have a week left per doctor. Fiancé's mother passed away, been dealing with getting her estate handled and being supportive there. You get the idea. Its been a busy 10 months.
So, if things are so bad why am I back and what guarantee do I have that I wont go ghost again? Well... this is really sappy but its my Dad's request. I've been Writing since I was a child, and with everything going to shit, he knew that I had to give it up due to a lack of free time. Talking to him earlier today, he reminded me of old stories I wrote as a kid, reminding me of that almost forgotten passion. As dumb as this is going to sound, he told me he hoped one day one of my works would be published. With the week I've taken off work, while most of that time will be spent with him while i can and cant guarantee frequent responses, next week I'll be back to a regular schedule. One where Im only working 40 hours a week, and its at a vape shop rather than a restaurant. This means I will have significantly more time to write my rough drafts of responses and will be able to get replies out at least as frequently as I was before the hiatus. Why return to RP? I have to de-rust somehow, and what better way than to collaborate with others in the process?
Last thing... I'm sorry. I hate that the whole ghosting situation happened. While I cant change that it happened, I can say that it wont be repeated. I wish I had a concrete way of proving that to you, but I'm drawing a blank on those at the moment. So I suppose all you have is my word to go on. If that isn't enough, I fully understand. I just hope that in some way this explanation helped put everything into context. Again, I'm in no way seeking to say that I was in the right at all for ghosting, nor am I seeking sympathy. Just... trying to lay all my cards out on the table.

What i mean by long term
Something to clarify right off the bat, when i say long term i mean just that. I prefer my stories to have a slow burn, a build up to whatever climax and conflict we decide to put our characters through. I love the build up, the tension, the flirtation, the drama... I love it all almost as much as i enjoy the smut and the other "good bits". (forgive me for this next bit but i cant find a better way to phrase it) I'm also not a fan of the "hit it and quit it" mentality when it comes to story telling, be that in the "get some good smut done then on to the next tale" or the "get a good story out there, tie off the loose ends, then find a new person to write with". It is my full intention in making this thread to find people to write Multiple stories with throughout the years. When one tale ends, another begins as someone out there has more than likely said at some point, and that is a saying I take to heart. If we mesh well as partners, I see no reason why we should just cease all communication.. but this is getting repetitive now and i feel you all get the point.
World Building is a must
I love world building, getting into the nitty gritty of not only what makes our characters work, but what makes the system and the people around them tick. What does that barkeep do after the players go to bed? How is this society's economy able to function with the extreme amount of magic or advanced technology that has sprung forth? What is the villain doing in his lair while the hero's set off in search of a way to stop him? Questions like these are constantly at the forefront of my mind when i'm writing, so having a partner who is willing to ask the same questions and assist me in finding answers as we write is definitely a must. I'm not saying you have to come to me with all of the answers right off the bat- we can figure those out down the line. The point that I'm looking to get across i suppose is this: World building and the little details matter to me, my worlds are alive whether or not the proverbial cameras are rolling on them or not. If you aren't a detail fiend like me, and the task of constantly logging character motivations and meticulously keeping track of continuity isn't something you are interested in...I'm sorry but i'm not sure if I am the right partner for you.
What I like out of Posts
Other Miscellaneous Desires
Bellow I have listed several other elements in a writing partner that I am looking for that I couldn't quite fit into either of the above categories.- Female Lead's (as you will see below, i find that for most stories of any significant length to last a few side characters are required from time to time. I don't care if you play male side characters by any means... but for me personally, i prefer whoever I have paired MC with to be female.)
- Submissive Lead Characters (I'm not a sub by any means, so apologies if you are looking for a male sub/switch but i'm not your guy.)
- Writing from the 3rd Person perspective
- Good grasp of English/Spelling/etc (Plz no txt sp33ch ty <3)
- Willing to write smut where it fits, but not looking to force sex scenes every few responses.
- Interested in telling darker tales (what fun is writing in a utopia where everything is sunshine and roses?)
- Willing to take up the occasional side character from time to time, just to make scenes more interesting and to keep the plot flowing smoothtly.
My Major Noes
- Mutilation/Permanent disfiguration (side note i use this all the time, is it even a real word?..)
- Scat/Blood-play
- Fem-Dom (I enjoy bdsm, but as stated above I am very much not a sub.)
- Cannon Characters. (Fanfics just aren't for me personally, I find that my knowledge of most fandoms is rather lacking and just don't feel comfortable with the idea of inserting myself in someone else's work.
- Real world racism. (just... no. Elves hating dwarfs is one thing, that is all make believe. Time appropriate or not I can't put myself in the mindset to bring our real world mistakes into my writing.)
Some Worlds I already started developing
World building is one hell of a task, and by no means one that I expect you to do on your own. Bellow are a list of work in project worlds that I've had on the back of my mind. Most of them don't have a hard set plot, as i prefer to design plots and settings separate. further bellow this list are a lists of pairings/plots I've had in the back of my mind that we can sort of mix and match. None of them are concrete, all of them are works in progress. Feel free to mix and match/adapt them however you please, or bring me something of your own design entirely and I'll do what i can to make my own mark on what you give me.Spoilers within Spoilers! What? You didn't really think i was just going to give you another wall of text to decipher did you?
The desert nation of Rostheim is a hellacious place to live. Between roving bandit raids and the constant struggle to obtain water from the warlords who control the majority of oases in the area, ancient arcane constructs have begun roaming the lands. These arcane golems are extremely hostile and attack any living creature that nears it on sight. They also have something... strange about them. You see, while killing one of these behemoths is no easy task... the few who have been slain have all been found to have one thing in common. The creatures bleed, or perhaps that is the wrong way to put it. The creatures leak when cut, leak pure drinking water.
The mortal realm remains mostly unchanged, regardless of whichever era we choose to base our tale on. However, the notable addition is the hidden existence of dark entities. These creatures embody mortal sins and act as vectors of temptation for whoever they come across. They exist only to cause havoc, to taint the souls of the pure and bind them to their will to use for their own pleasure and gains.
The Island of Yormund is cast in eternal cold. Its mountainous terrain is littered with frost covered peaks, lakes of ice, and dense forrestry. Several small kingdoms and cities have been established here however, and offer travelers and locals alike a warm place to rest after a long day of work. It also doesn't hurt that the walls of these cities serve as barriers to keep the hostile denizens of the forest out, although... the same cant exactly be said about the dragons...
Pairings: (MC x YC)
Gang member or mob boss x innocent/desperate girl
Criminal x partner
Gang leader x New girl
-(Modern) MC has made his fortune the smart way, by letting other people make it for him. YC is one of his underlings, one of the few he keeps on payroll to scout potential scam/con targets and to help sell his illusions. What most in this inner circle don't know however, is that there's more to their relationship than just business.
-(1960's-ish/other retro era) It's hard making it in the big city, especially when you just moved there, know no one, and have only what you can fit in a trunk to your name. Luckily for YC, MC knows of some pretty lucrative ways to make some money on the side, and while they may not be the most appealing... a girls gotta eat right?
-(Modern) Spring break is always a blast. Lots of sun, loud music, lots of alcohol... that is.. until something gets slipped into your drink

And that's that. Holy shit you made it to the end. I would offer you a cookie, but as I said earlier only the first one is on the house. Sorry hun, looks like you're fresh out of luck in that department. Although... if after reading that entire text wall you wanted for some reason want to pursue writing with me... well we have a special offer. For the low low price of one make believe gift cookie, I'll grant you a "PM ~Nova~" pass, granting you free access to reach out to me via private message to discuss possible plots. There is one caveat to the deal however. You see, I very much prefer to keep my threads nice and tidy so my update logs don't get lost in walls of comments... as such I'll ask that you refrain from commenting on this thread. Any questions/comments/concerns should be directed to my inbox and i'll be certain to acknowledge them as soon as I am able. Thank you for sticking around, and i hope to hear from you soon.
