Hello There!

I've finally gotten the grit to revamp this thing. Let's go!

Welcome to my request thread!

Now I know this thread might appear a little picky (don't get me wrong, I'll be the first to admit that I'm a little picky due to the effort and passion I put into my writing), but I really don't bite! At least, not as hard as this thread may portray. Here's a short description of my roleplay style and preferences.

ABOUT ME

How I write: I consider myself to be an advanced, literate writer. I use multiple paragraphs, and write in third person with attention to proper grammar and punctuation. When you think of my writing style, think of a novel. It's worth noting though, that when it comes to flow and overall aesthetics, I tend to morph the general template of my style to match and augment my partners' own.

Reply Frequency: I tend to drop replies as frequently as I can manage. At the very least, you can expect a post from me once to twice every week. However, if we do eventually fall into a groove that takes longer, or shorter, this could vary accordingly. I'll always give you a heads-up if I'll be unavailable for a prolonged period of time, so I'll expect you to do the same. On a final note here, I tend to respond promptly and more vigorously to partners that really stimulate my muse. Just a little nugget for those of you that might want to see me in high performance mode.

Communication: OOC chatter and communication in general, is something that has grown increasingly important to me over the years. I've found that it really stimulates my muse, on top all the other benefits that talking freely and openly about post availability, as well as brainstorming and or just gushing about our world and characters can bring.

I'm not necessarily looking to pry into your private life, as I love keeping my online and offline lives as separate as possible myself. However, I'm also not looking for a kind of partnership where getting any sort of OOC interaction with my partner (especially about availability), is gonna be like pulling teeth. I've found that it shrinks my interest very quickly.

In a nutshell, don't be afraid to goof off, or to express your excitement over what we're building together OOC. You'll find me very quality company there, I promise.

_Now that we've got the intro out of the way, let's get down to profiling the type of writer I'm looking for.

MY PARTNER

Literacy is a must: my partner must be able to actually communicate with me. I get that we can't stop those occasional and annoying typos from popping up randomly, but I honestly won't be able to enjoy role-playing/writing with someone, if I have to spend three solid minutes mulling over a paragraph and wondering what it portrays (risking a migraine in the process).

Put some work into it: I put a lot of work into my posts, so I'll naturally expect my partner to rival that enthusiasm and effort. I get that the story goes through some flat periods atimes, but I won't subscribe to singlehandedly driving the plot and introducing new challenges all the time. I'll leave that for when I make forays into solo projects.

The Respect and Maturity Thing: Pretty self explanatory. Respect me, and I'll gladly respect you in return. Ghosting? It's a quick way to get me to stop taking you seriously. I'm a very busy person behind the screen, and I claw out every precious second that I spend crafting my little worlds with my partners. Naturally, I'd prefer reliable partners that would respect me enough to take two minutes to let me know when they're going to be unavailable for a while. I've gladly picked up a story with a partner that has been gone over a year when they returned; same has been done for me as well. Goes without saying, communication was the key factor there.

The Plot to Smut Balance: I know as adults we all have kinks and fantasies, some of which we are even unable to carry out in real-life; we tend to indulge in these kinks and fantasies through writing, and that's good. It's a creative way to attain satisfaction. Now, to tie it into an ongoing story. To keep this part simple, I'll just say that I prioritize a good plot above smut all the time. I won't roleplay for smut only. If we're being honest with ourselves, it gets old pretty quick. There's only so many ways you could describe a heated make out session, or a primal indulgence in animal passion. Oh! And I'm someone that's very good at writing smut scenes.

But then again, a good build up leads to good sex, right? Don't get me wrong though, I'm absolutely open to writing erotica, not just as the sole purpose for a story.

Last but not least, please have fun! I pick up on vibes, and I get energized when my partners appear to be enjoying themselves.

_Phew! Now that we got the lengthy intros outta the way, let's get into the kind of stories I'm into.

My limits on themes are pretty much non existent. So long as you don't hit me with incest, or expect me to play a homosexual character in a smut scene. I don't have anything against gay people, but I'm flat out uncomfortable playing such characters bumping uglies, simply because, I just can't get into that zone without maybe resorting to disrespectful stereotypes.

Bathroom kinks can stay there and out of my stories, as well as anything against site rules.

One very important thing to note also, is that I love action! When action fills a story, it'll get me hooked right away.

Enough droning, here come the plots!

PLOTS

Quick note: I'm gonna add a couple of stars behind each plot to show how much I'm currently interested in them with each bump, and or update. The more stars you see, the more I'll be happy to jump into a story based on that plot.

"Know thyself, know thy enemy, and know thy environment."

How quickly can the trajectory of someone's life change? Some would agree that it takes a collection of small, gradual changes. There are those who would swear that it can be as swift as the blink of an eye. Aren't they both right though? Looks like one of the mains in this plot is gonna find out firsthand.

So here's the crux of the idea. I envisioned this scenario that's a cross between absurd humour, and very real danger merged with equally high stakes. One of our mains is a seemingly everyday person to the outside world. They have an occupation that pays well enough for them not to have to sweat about taking a vacation when they need it. In short, to the average person, they're the perfect example of ambition and success interwoven. So what happens when this 'Normie' gets swept up into a world of espionage; especially without their consent, by the second main—who IS a spy?

Crazy right? Yeah, I know, and the answer to the last question above is what I wanna get delicious answers to.

For this, I don't see the Normie being defenseless or completely useless when it comes to skills that the average spy would deem useful. The Spy must have seen something in them to stake the success of their entire mission—and their very life along with it—on sweeping them in, after all. I see it more as the Normie being a skilled and versatile person. One who—with a single different life decision, could be the Spy's partner, instead of an ambitious paper chaser. However, with that being said, I also see the Normie as having a personality/ideals that won't make them jump at the opportunity of being an accidental spy regardless of the stakes.

Let's say the Normie has political apathy, or maybe just despises government and corporate tussles since they've seen enough of it in their career to soak up the ugliness that bloat them. Most likely though, I see the Normie as being very self-centered, which would tie well into their ambitious nature.

I have a bias for playing the Normie, so most of my ideas below would reflect that. I'd be open to playing the Spy too though.

As for the Spy, I see them being very desperate. Let's say they've been cut off from their agency/command, and have finally stumbled into some chilling news after some deep cover work in a covert terror cell. What they learned was not only important, it revealed that they had very limited time to act before the first wave of disaster rears it's head from whatever entity they're spying on. It could be that the Spy's target has grown increasingly suspicious and adept at cutting infiltrators down. Perhaps, the Spy is the only one left on the inside, with their agency facing serious heat on the outside, and basically unable to help them out. The Spy could be disavowed by their agency too (we all know who takes the hit when things get dicey in this business).

I'm sure we can fine-tune this properly when we start planning and writing, but the idea here is that the Spy is in a fix. With no time/resources/luxury of contacting anyone on the outside, they resolve to do whatever they can to sabotage the forming clouds of disaster. Problem is though, they realized that in spite of their extensive training, talents and skills, it was a job they couldn't execute alone. Here's where recruiting/conscripting the Normie comes into play. Desperation is the ultimate motivator, after all.

A'ight, time to see what fun options I can supply for this before we start planning.

PERMUTATIONS

Hey Baby: This is the original concept that struck me with this plot. Here, the female Spy (your main) singles out the Normie (my main), and swoops upon him when he least expects it to throw his world into disarray. Starting of course, with his relationship status. MC has been single for most of his life; obvious side-effects of allowing his ambitions and career swallow him more often than not. The occasional flings and one night stands have been good enough for him so far. So you can imagine his confusion when this ravishing bombshell saunters towards him with the most engaging smile on her face, addressing him as her established lover.

Prior to that, I see him counting down the seconds until he could leave the 'disgusting' environment that he found himself in—to close a business deal. I'm thinking, he's a dealer of some kind. Maybe he's offering custom cyber services or selling novel arms to the highest bidder as a freelancer. Of course, this makes his clientele some of the most questionable people on the planet, but honor don't pay the bills, right? That doesn't mean that he's all for criminals and their activities though; such as their crazy lifestyles and weird clubs.

I see him sitting with a tight smile on his face, secretly tapping his heel impatiently, as he watched his lead customer pull a giddy woman with a collared leash; relishing the sick sense of whatever he got out of it, instead of finalizing their arrangements. So yeah, pretty deviant environment, and while no prude, MC's selfish nature wouldn't allow him enjoy the whole ordeal.

So here's a fun little bit. YC comes around, and takes one of two options available to her. She either plays it that she knows MC and they're an item (knowing that the Don would be pleased to know of this, seeing as the miscreants need MCs services, even though the latter looks ready to abandon ship at the first given opportunity). Her Spy credentials would come in handy for this option if she actually doesn't know MC. That, or she could actually know MC. Perhaps he was a one night stand, an old classmate, an old friend or acquaintance of some kind.

Option two involves using the deviant atmosphere to her advantage. Would she glide across him and whisper into the Don's ear that she'd love to help initiate MC into their radical cause with a night of deviant passion (knowing fully well that she has other plans in mind)? Would she just skip that part and scandalize MC by throwing him the end of the leash attached to a collar on her neck? Would she simply pull him away with a knowing smirk to the Don who would readily approve?

Hey asshole! Here's a script for you: Following the parameters of who plays what above, YC has done her homework. She's learned that MCs selfish actions are providing the miscreants with the final pieces of their puzzle of destruction. So, instead of taking on the sweet appearance as above, she decides on a more colorful and damning line of action. She resolves to turn the blossoming business partners against eachother. The best way to do that? Use some of MCs inventions to do some major damage to the facility in question. As a spy, I imagine she'd have the technical skills to use unlocked weapons or programs to wreak havoc remotely, while hiding her footprints so that it appears that it was MC who did it, or wasn't smart or security conscious enough to prevent outsiders from hijacking it.

Either way, the end result would be the complete destruction of whatever flimsy bridge existed between MC and the miscreants. Maybe she even does one better, zipping in front of MC while everyone recovers from the tactically arranged explosions, and whispering to him to 'kidnap' her if he wants to leave the facility without becoming Swiss cheese. Of course, MC is too logical to pass it up, and the Don is too smitten to wreck her to get to MC.

After the successful 'abduction', how YC handles things is up to you. Whether or not she chooses to show her hand, guilt trip MC by showing and telling him exactly what he was going to be partly responsible for, or even coerce him with threats of exposing his hush-hush little business to the appropriate authorities. Take your pick.

Dazzle me: Bring your own twists. Use everything you've learned of the premise to come up with a fresh take, or as inspiration to cook up something along the same lines.

To be honest, I don't see those two broad permutations I provided as being mutually exclusive. I think elements of the two could be merged to create something spine-tingling.

_(It's new and I want it. Gimme—gimme—GIMME!).

"Dominance doesn't necessarily translate to superiority, but only those who look through the veil can see that."

Since times past, there has always been two sorts of people—broadly speaking; those who act within, and are constrained by the conventional limits of humanity, and those who operate beyond those boundaries. Different names and titles have been bestowed upon the latter group over the ages; different approaches to handling them have been recorded as well. However, the one constant on the side of the regular humans, has been the skewed view that they had of these 'superhumans'.

Superhumans in their different forms come and go throughout history. Their numbers seemingly thinning out as society and technology advanced. With man's faith shifting from the metaphysical, to hard and material technology, it is no wonder that cults, guilds and covens, that were usually hotbeds for the supernatural, thinned out into fantastic fables.

So what happens when a new wave of superhumans appear; triggered by a global event that affected populations differently? This time, not fuelled by the arcane or fealty to cosmic gods. This time, the powers are innate, seemingly written into their very genetic code.

Some were born with these powers—to parents that may themselves be mutants or not; others have spent the better parts of their lives without the new abilities that would change their lives and status in the eyes of society forever.

What effects would this have on the sleepy and tiny community of 'old superhumans'? How would modern society cope and react to the shock of a select and growing few, with abilities that defy expectations? What is behind the event that triggered this new wave, and who will it benefit most?

So, there's a rough outline of the setting I envisioned for this plot. Basically, there's a collection of 'Old Superhumans'; these ones have abilities or powers that are rooted in mysticism. From your usual suspects; the witches, hunters, and what nots, to maybe even weres, vampires, and or demonic/angelic hybrids. Practically anything you'd expect in a classic fantasy romp.

As for the 'New Superhumans/Breed', these ones are more in tune with mutants/metahumans in superhero or sci-fi media. They range from people with simple genetic mutations that enable something as mild as enhanced vision, to those with powerful buffs like gravity manipulation, energy projection, and the likes.

Obviously, the community of 'Old Superhumans' would be thin. Consisting mainly of the current generation in guilds, covens, etcetera, or long-living mystics like vamps, or hunters with drastically decelerated aging.

I'm itching to play a hunter who's not quite immortal, but has been around long enough to have seen his fair share of superhuman fluxes. This means that he does age, but slowly. I imagine he would be quite jaded and cynical. After all, watching everything you care about wither and die, while the world changes continuously around you, isn't the easiest thing to endure. Depending on what direction we decide on, he could be my primary main, or one of two.

Operation Twilight

Yes, it is a military campaign, or at least has military/government design. To keep things simple and short—with room for creative interpretation, this operation involves the recruitment or conscription of the more abundant, less experienced (in the art of staying off corporate radar), and often less skilled New Superhumans, by governments, or mega corporations with the funds and influence for the job.

Why are these poor guys being recruited? To be trained as human weapons of course. That, or to be experimented on like lab rats, with the aim of creating even more of them and finding out 'what makes them tick'.

It could also be that the powers that be, have determined that the event that triggered the creation of this New Superhumans, was deliberate. In other words, someone, or something else, deliberately set a pack of superhumans loose on Earth for an unknown reason. It is only natural for them to speculate that the reason is to turn these superhumans into predators that would soften up the earth for easy conquest. In other words, enough reason for native earthlings to exercise a strong grip on the situation, and make what THEY want of the Superhumans.

Permutations

As I mentioned earlier, I'm itching to play a Hunter, an Old Superhuman with decelerated aging. Your primary character would ultimately be up to you, but here are a few ideas I thought up:

The Rebels: A ragtag group of New Superhumans have banded together. United by a burning desire to stop the blatant exploitation and objectification of New Superhumans—by the powers that be, they're ready to do whatever it takes to go up against the established powers who have vastly superior resources and numbers on their side. From rescue operations of freshly captured New Superhumans, to blatant sabotage of Operation Twilight in different scales and capacity, this band of rebels are all in.

Their mean age as well as the number of members, AND the constitution of the members themselves, are up to us. However, I see an interesting opportunity for a good story, if we have my hunter meet them somehow, and wind up acting as a reluctant mentor to them for whatever reason. Maybe he relates to their pain of being seen as either monsters or tools by society. Maybe he recognizes that they're heading towards a swift and devastating end at the hands of the powers that be—if they continue to trifle with them, without experienced guidance. Whatever the case, I'm sure it could be fun.

The Rebel: A twist to the idea above. Instead of a small group of New Superhumans that would include one or two boys of my design, the rebel here is a single woman. Through whatever means or unsteady alliances she can secure, she relentlessly sabotages Operation Twilight to the best of her abilities, and often at great risk to herself.

The Feels Angle: What is the nature of the hunter's relationship with YC? Regardless of whether or not she's a one-woman wrecking ball, or the captain of a ragtag group of rebels, how would their relationship develop? Do we leave it to the delicious whims of the plot? Does the hunter ultimately grow to see her as his daughter of sorts? Do they develop romantic and sexual tension amidst the chaos of achieving their goals?

When the Dust Settles: A twist to the theme of rebellion above. YC is an 'Oldie' like mine, one who, either alone, or as part of an alliance of Oldies, bides her time and accelerates the chaotic struggle between the powers that be, and the 'Newbies'. Sensing an opportunity, she and or the alliance of Oldies (including MC or not), salivate at the opportunity to seize power after the combatants (Newbies and Powers that be) exhaust themselves. It would make for one hell of comeback/revenge, for years spent living in the shadows.

The 'Feels' of the Rebellion theme might also apply here.

Unsung Heroes: YC and MC are aware of the chilling consequences behind the events that triggered the wave of Newbies. Maybe it's the first step in a foretold extra-dimensional invasion. Maybe it's the prelude to the apocalypse. Whatever the case, it is the calm before the storm, and YC and MC have sworn to prevent that coming storm at any cost.

To Ashes and Dust: Basically the opposite of the above theme. MC and YC know the chilling truth behind the trigger event, and are hellbent on ensuring that it's chilling consequences come to pass.

Crossed Swords: MC and YC are on different sides this time, regarding the above two themes. Consequently, they antagonize eachother. This could also work without them understanding the consequences behind the trigger event.

For the last three themes, YC could be either Newbie or Oldie, your choice.

Changing of the Guard: The Superhumans fail to unite; falling either to the careful plots of the 'Normie' community, or to their own hubris, they splinter into factions. Eventually, these factions begin to clash. Is it Old vs New? Pro-Normie vs Anti-Normie? Their motivations and endgames are our toys to play with.

Things to Expect: Mysticism, Sci-fi, Narrative Bigotry, Action, Adventure, Romance, Power Struggles, Competing Interests, Old vs New, Hots for the Enemy, Occultism, Fantasy, Magic, Tension, Superpowers.

_(This one's so flexible. Can't lie, I'm itching very badly for it).

"In the theater of war, there is no room for neutrality."

Here's the backdrop for this one. Think of a future where mankind has broken the enigmatic code of space travel and interstellar colonization. Basically, think Star Wars; but I'm not looking to get into any fandom shenanigans. I barely know enough about Star Wars to do justice to the universe even if I was a fandom guy. All that aside though, we can use Space Fantasy franchises for inspiration. Are humanoids the only sentient race around? Are there others? Those questions and more, we can answer when we start discussing.

Backdrop established, I envisioned a big scale conflict between two large factions or more. Maybe it's a clash of ideals, maybe it's a battle over territory and resources; the bottom line is that there is a dragging war going on, and it only seems to expand in scale and cost with every passing day.

Enter, our stars; the crew of an infamous ship with a reputation to boot. Our stars aren't tied to any of the warring factions. Infact, they have no loyalties to anyone outside their tight-knit crew. With a resolve to uphold their neutrality to often selfish extremes, this resilient crew toiled to amass a small fortune by taking on any jobs they could find. Pilfering the excess goodies of the warring factions or other bloated players who already have more than enough, was not exempt. Their plan was to gather enough to support their plan to settle in a remote system where they plan to live away from the ravages of the daunting war.

Many missions and depositing runs of goodies in said system later, the hearts of every crew-member swelled with palpable anticipation. Their dream was finally at their fingertips. One last delivery of supplies to their safe haven, and their stockpile would be enough to see them through the process of setting up for their peaceful retirement. Everything progressed smoothly, until they hauled in the latest goods to add to the hoard, only to realize that the mountain of precious and incredibly well-kept supplies were completely gone. In it's place was a message for them from one of the warring factions. Their haul was in safe hands, and they could win it back—with massive additions, even. All they had to do was work covertly for the patronizing faction that pilfered their stash.

You see, our stars are known for maintaining their neutrality with a vigour. Naturally, this would make them the perfect tools to use for the very sensitive missions that a particularly gifted and scheming mind in the patronizing faction, needs to realize it's grand ambitions. So, our stars have a choice to make. Would they abandon their hard-earned stash along with the chance to live the life of tranquility that they've yearned for, away from the ravages of war? Would they set upon getting it back? Would they start afresh? How would they go about either of these choices if they made one? Would they do something else entirely?

Obviously we'd be playing members of the crew as mains. The number and composition of the crew, we'll hash out as we plan; their mean age too. This could work with with a cluster of veterans or young adults. A mix of the two could work just as well.

PERMUTATIONS

Scheming Puppets: Our crew can't imagine losing their precious hoard. Although, bitter about the only way to get it back, they resolve to dance to the tunes of their consumate patron. This doesn't mean that they won't be hatching a few schemes of their own though; they're not about to trust the war-mongering pieces of shit that would target a small group of hard workers that are looking to reap the fruits of their labour. Maybe the crew develops it's own endgame while presenting a picture of reluctant pliancy to it's patron. Maybe it plans to gain enough trust or intel about the patron and it's stolen stash with the plan to steal it back; maybe it decides to play double agent; offering deeply covert favors to the patron's opposing faction, in return for favors in the way of supplies, Intel or whatever. The possibilities are quite 'delish' with this one.

Fuck All of Y'all!: Our desperados decide to cut their losses. They now have to grapple with the bitter reality of starting all over again if they want to live their dream. Would the fire die? What strains would their concession create in the crew—are all members onboard with conceding? How would the patron respond after seeing their gambit rebuffed? I don't imagine the patron would back down. I see the patron going after them with increasing vigour instead, further adding to their strains and rubbishing their decision and autonomy. If this happens, how would the crew react? What would it do to it as a family?

Hell Hath No Fury: Our crew, stung by indignation, decide that they had an enemy after all. They set a burning scope on the patron, and or his faction. Do they go about their vengeance alone, or do they ally themselves with the enemies of their enemy? How would this affect their original neutral disposition in the long run? Would our crew finally learn to be a little selfless after experiencing loss, and the might of the two warring factions firsthand? What would that do to it? Would it cause every member to kindle an inferno of hate for both factions in the long run? Yearning to dismantle their powers so that they would never be able to oppress anyone else with it in future? Would this path of vengeance ultimately turn our crew into the same monsters they loathe—as they amass power and influence to fuel their cause of overthrowing the tyrants?

Bring Your Own!: Pretty self-explanatory.

_(Been aching for a good space romp along these lines for a while. I'm just glad that I'm finally able to put my scattered thoughts about it together enough for someone else to follow. Gimme!).

"What is done is done. Closed doors shall never be opened... Right?"

Two lives once so entwined, ripped apart by a flash of violence. He died, she grieved, maybe she moved on, or is convincing herself to to so after the dust settled. So what happens when by some twist of fate, she spots a strange man that lights all the fuses of familiarity in her being? Could it be? It couldn't be, right?!

If you could glean anything sensible from that opening paragraph, I owe you a virtual peck on the cheek (report to my DM to claim your reward). I'll try my best to elucidate on what that one paragraph is all about with the subsequent ones below this one, so buckle up, and get ready for a hopefully fun and informative ride!

As suggested by the opening paragraph, our primary mains would be close, very much so. They could be married, engaged, in a steady relationship, or those breed of best friends that are one awkward question away from throwing themselves at each other, and swearing to cherish the other for eternity. Whatever the specs are, we'll hash that out when we start discussing. To address the second point raised in the opening paragraph, the two would remain entwined until a cold draught of misfortune gusted in their direction. Whether it's an accident, or an assassination attempt, or a downright mugging, the reality of things is that MC ended up sacrificing himself to keep YC alive.

The catastrophe that took MC was bad enough to make recovering his remains a fool's errand. So those that loved him best gathered to grieve and bury his image. Some time would pass; maybe months, maybe years, but YC soon makes an unsettling discovery after running into a strange man one day. Maybe it's the way he walks, the familiar glints in his eyes or the chords of his gravelly voice. Whatever it was, it filled her with a wave of unease and familiarity. Despite a few obvious differences, she can't help but feel that the stranger reminded her of her lost love.

Turns out that MC isn't dead. I'm still not settled on the particulars, but I visualize him as a man with a secret, one directly responsible for his assumed demise. Maybe he's a secret government agent, or a sleeper for some shadowy sect. Perhaps, he's just a regular man who was in the wrong place at the wrong time one day; heard or saw something that he shouldn't. Either way, he was saved from certain death somehow, and with his new life coming after his loved ones have already grieved for him, he decided that it was better that he remained dead to them. At the very least, until he dismantled the forces that orchestrated his demise, and could be sure that he would bring no harm to his loved ones.

Needless to say, meeting YC by accident, and learning of her growing suspicions would deliciously complicate his single-minded mission. This is without considering whatever complicated angles his 'saviour' would impose on him.

PERMUTATIONS

Agent Ghost: MC is a government agent; a considerable asset to his agency. After the attempt on his life, the agency moved in swiftly to retrieve it's precious asset. They were just in the nick of time too, for MC was only seconds away from breathing his last—having made sure he kept YC away from his own grim fate. Fast forwarding a little, the Agency saw a golden opportunity to bust out one of it's top secret projects; the 'Ghost Programme'.

Seeing as MC's body was beyond any real saving (they had to do their best to keep his brain alive long enough to finalize preparations), they decided to kill two birds with one stone. Using a 'Destructive Scan' that destroyed MCs living brain (if you've watched the amazing series 'Pantheon', you'd understand this process much better), they scanned, then mapped ALL of MCs mind, personality, memories, etcetera, into one hell of a storage drive.

That's not all though, their ultimate aim was to transfer all of MCs intellect, knowledge and intuition, into a 'Blank Copy'; one of the nameless lab-grown humans that they've been producing for their many 'super-agent' projects. These 'Blanks' have been genetically enhanced and augmented in several ways—a product of biotechnology that yielded 'human templates' that were worth more than three well trained regular agents. Infusing the mind of a decorated and accomplished agents into one of these Blanks is all the Ghost Programme is about.

After the successful procedure, MC woke up feeling alive; immersed and in control, yet, somewhat disconnected; as if he was playing a First Person Shooter. With time, he learned what the Agency did, and struggled with his feelings about the whole deal. He wasn't sure that he wanted to go on living, especially in a strange body that must've belonged to a different mind (the Agency's genetic labs would swear that the 'Blanks' have no mind of their own), but whatever his sentiments, the Ghost Programme was worth millions. The Agency wasn't going to allow him decide to pull the plug on such a feat of science and military joint achievement, simply because of his feelings.

The rest should be obvious, and are definitely up there for planning and tweaking.

Nemesis: MC was a civilian that was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He saw or heard something he shouldn't; maybe in some files at work, maybe he's a fledgeling businessman who was approached by a mob to join them, or step aside—and he refused. Whatever the case, he was offed by the aggressors for his perceived transgressions. He was offed wrongly; or at least, a vengeful force believes so. This force responds by Infusing it's energy with MCs fading spirit just as he was about to draw his last breath.

MC would wake up after a considerable amount of time had passed. He was completely unharmed, hale and hearty, alive! He was confused, then concluded that he must be in the afterlife. After stumbling around a bit, he discovers that he was in no other world but the regular one. Some months have passed while his body healed, and his loved ones were already showing signs of getting over his violent end.

So why hasn't MC rushed in to announce that he survived by some miracle? Well, probably because he didn't know what the miracle was. Plus, with the visions and dark thoughts of vengeance and malice that plague him in increasing waves since he woke up, he was beginning to doubt if it was a miracle at all. Maybe he was possessed by a demon; one that urged him to fight, taught him how to do it too. His soul reeked with the overwhelming force of vengeance, and he was terrified to think that he was capable of harbouring such destructive hate.

So that's it; far more than enough reason for him to keep his distance. In this case, I see him yearning to reach out, but fearing the worst, all while resisting the increasingly worsening impulses to use the strange new combat skills and powers that woke with him to have his vengeance. I see him afraid of losing himself to the force of vengeance inside him, and also fearing what an all out war with his aggressors while wearing the exact same face (save a few dark distortions when the vengeful spirit is active) would mean for his still healing loved ones.

Would he decide to resign to his persona as 'Nemesis'? Would he suffer to hold it back, visiting his loved ones from a distance? (a good opportunity for the accidental meeting between YC and him for this flavor).

Bring Your Own: Bring your ideas! I finally imagine a love story for once, I'm sure y'all with more romantic dispositions would love to feast on this one.

Things to Expect: Sci-fi, Supernatural, Action, Adventure, Twisted Dynamics, Strained Relationships, Crime, Thriller, Vengeance, Rekindling Romance, Complicated Love Story, Forced Estrangement, Pining for the Impossible.

_(A love story imagined by your's truly? Stunning! Right? Oh well, maybe not so stunning when you see the twist in it. Like the other new ones, I want it bad).

This one's gonna be one of my more fleshed out ideas. I normally don't subscribe to overcooking things up front, but I'll be doing a little bit of that here due to the complexity of the plot.

Well, enough yapping, here ya go.

The idea basically revolves round my main character an assassin, who is tasked with eliminating your main character. I despise taking away creative freedom from my partners, so I'll leave her occupation to you. However, for this plot, it'll be better and more realistic if she's a tough girl, preferably one who has no qualms or is at least capable of getting her hands dirty and soiled with blood. She could be a criminal element or what not, that part is up to you.

My character is actually one of the most infamous and effective assassins in the game. His true identity is unknown, and he's infamously dubbed as "Wraith" because of this. Why call a renowned hitman to kill someone? Because the contractor doesn't want any hitches with the hit, and certainly no failure. They are aware that your character is far from being a slouch, and missing while coming for her will have very dark consequences.

So my character approaches yours and is about to do his job when the unthinkable happens, he becomes fascinated by YC. Her efficiency in handling her rivals and her overall independent, confident and tough nature, made him decide to toy with his prey a little first. So he approaches her, and shows her the charming face that no one that's still breathing has seen, essentially, he turns on the charm.

With Yc being Yc however; she's not gonna be easily impressed. So in order to afford himself some more time to toy with his prey, he decides to help her out with her crimimal activities (or whatever occupation you chose for her).

It isn't long before the duo start making some big hits, and adding more names to an already bloated list of enemies.

Now at this time, both characters develop romantic and mostly lustful tension. (Love is something people like this tend to avoid or deny till it overwhelms them completely). But here's where things get really interesting, and where the fantasy springs into life. During their daring escapades, their brazen and often chaotic acts have attracted the presence of a supernatural entity. A dark being that was trapped in a seal ages ago for it's spread of carnage and chaos. This being has stewed over in rage for ages, waiting for the right opportunity to breach it's seal.

His wish would seem to come within touching distance now. With the seal weakening over the years, it could finally seep the more latent aspects of it's powers through the faults in the seal. However, the seal is far from flimsy, and with the greater parts of it's powers still trapped in the seal, escape is only that close but quite impossible.

This presence however, is armed with the ability to feast on the lust, perversion, greed, and other negativities of man. In it's current weak state though, it can't feast on a mass of people. Neither can it extend it's influence very far. So it sat and waited, targetting one or two suitable individuals that fall into its range with time, feeding on their negativities and influencing them to improve on them. It began to slowly build up the power it needs. Now though, it just needs that little bit to act as the activation energy. That's where our characters come in.

Considering our characters as the perfect pair that'll give it the last burst of energy it needs to escape from its prison, it progressivesly ensnares them under its evil influence. They, unaware of its presence in their minds got even bolder; adding even more enemies to their unreal lists. It isn't long before they both are topping every list of both the authorities, and the jealous gangs who can't comprehend their unreal success and brazen nature.

However, all good things must come to an end and actions have consequences. Their rollercoaster of a tumultuous life came to an abrupt, but very pronounced end. However it happens, either their growing list of enemies finally swallow them, or the presence who is now free decides to repay them with evil is up to us.

So they die and get sent where all sinners go, hell. Their fates were about to be sealed by eternal consignment when a deal too good to resist lands on their faces. They will be given their lives back, with supernatural improvements too. All they have to do is ensure that they take down the menace they had unknowingly unleashed upon the world, and restore its balance.

They took it, and find themselves back in the land of the living. As promised, with supernatural improvements. The question is, will they mend their ways after they take down the now insanely powerful presence? Or will their drive to avenge their deaths at the hands of their numerous enemies and their former greed take control to make them an even worse menace with their new powers?

Now, the story truly begins.

_(My interest in this baby has finally waned a bit. Still might be convinced to work with it, though).

"What's worse than a world with a lot of rogues? A planet populated with them."

Advancement, development, growth. Call it whatever you will. The growing thirst for efficiency and improvement that has driven the human race like any other sentient one; to push towards the boundaries of their capacity, and smash them in hopes of getting "better", has been a very potent one. One that has brought about many positive developments. However, with an onslaught of positives, the universe often tends to balance it out with a legion of negatives. In other words, the bad tends to outweigh the good in such matters.

Since the dawn of civilization, mankind has found itself in a crazy dance with the vices of society. Greed, lust, CRIME. Throughout history, tasteful labels and punishment have been cast upon the individuals among us who have chosen the crooked paths of moral and societal deviance. In an age of exploration however (Celestial exploration that is), the big minds of the earth have found a very practical use for the condemned among us.

This, is the story behind it.

Advancement tends to come with heavy price tags that most often than not, the very planet that nurtures us tends to be the one to pay. However, as time wore on, and her wounds became graver, mother earth got sick and tired of being poisoned by her errant children. She decided to retaliate in like manner; fast, and it won't be long before she becomes an uninhabitable hellscape for the children she once pampered to a nasty rot. It's a race against time. One that the resilient humans are up for.

Excitement had spread like wildfire amongst the populace of the earth when news that a GSCA (Global Space Command Agency) probe named "Seeker", sent reports and footages of a virtually perfect planet that the humans can move into, once thier unrenewable rent on their native earth finally expired, hit the airwaves.

Sure, word was that the eggheads still had a lot of tests to run, and research to do, before arrangements to colonize the planet can finally be put in place. What the general public don't know of course, is that their prospective Eden may not be as charming as it seems, and that it may be a storehouse of abiotic hurdles and organic competitors lying in wait if Earthlings do take the plunge.

The eggheads however, are very aware of this fact, and what's their solution? Send the worst of us ahead, let's see how well they fare. Perhaps, arm them even, let them weed for us. Everybody wins! It's not like they have much choice anyways. Do they?

PS: I'm not much of a group play guy, but I've gotta admit that this idea has some group potential.

Anyway, I'm obviously looking for someone (or some people) who are willing to explore the dangers of a strange new world with moi.

_Ahem! Again, the candidates for this voyage are supposed to be hardened dirtbags. I mean, they're literally CONDEMNED. It'll be sad (and funny as hell), if a sweet, innocent girl, winds up in this plot. Seriously!

Things to Expect: Sci-fi, Interstellar Shenanigans, Unlikely Heroes, Action, Adventure, World-building, Statecraft, Adventure, Exploration, Competing Interests.

(My interest is still here somehow, even though I have a story using this template running. I don't know, I love a fine mix of science and statecraft!).

"We never appreciate the little things we have, till they're whisked away from our grasp."

Faith has always been a big part of humanity. Belief in gods, the need to feel accountable to higher beings, or a higher presence that can make light work of every man's insurmountable obstacles in return for acts of worship or allegiance on the part of man. It has been a catalyst for many of mankind's steps towards complexity and self-sufficiency. At the crossroads between self-sufficiency and the convenient reliance on the gods however, there are prices to pay. Prices tied to choice; the one true power of man.

Some call them gods, others choose to refer to them as Mystics. The one thing that both groups of people have in common though, is the awareness of the power possessed by these beings in question. When mankind found itself at a crossroads regarding it's philosophy about life, it wasn't too much of a shock that this time, not everyone was on the same page.

The "Sovereigns"; pioneering and excelling in the rudimentary new passion of man that is technology, advocate self-sufficiency and lash out against the folly of worship; the persistent dependence on fickle gods for things they already possess.

The "Believers" on the other hand; guardians of the arcane mysteries of the elements and mana, chose to retain their affiliations with the gods of old.

For a few frantic years, both forces seemed to be in a never ending tug-of-war for the philosophical future of mankind. The phrase "live and let live" seemed to them, an impractical one. That was until THEY descended upon the Earth.

Mystics? Gods? Whatever you choose to call them; they came in all their fury, and struck without prejudice. That's when the war began. When mankind learned to swallow it's differences—even if only momentarily—to achieve a common goal;

SURVIVAL!

PS: First things first, I envision a pretty medieval setting for this plot—with a strong touch of steampunk.

Basically, the Believers live IN thier time with regards to thier architecture, literary knowledge, and technology. It's the Sovereigns on the other hand that live ahead of their time in respect to those areas highlighted.

Now, it's quite obvious that although, surviving members of both parties have come to terms with the fact that cooperation is essential for their survival, there's still gonna be a lot of tension between them.

Let's see; the Believers rely on a clever mixture of their medieval weaponry and magic to fight. While their counterparts rely on a mixture of their steampunk technology and "refined" or "pseudo-magic" to do battle.

Here's where things get interesting.

The alliance between the groups didn't come easy. It was born of necessity however, when, after observing the results of several ill fated battles, both groups noticed that certain elements of their attacks only affect the mystic forces partially. In order words, their best chance is to fuse their attacks together if they hope to pack any real, sustainable punch.

(I'll be happy to explain this part better and even entertain ideas on fine-tuning it from prospective partners in PM!).

Anyways, both parties decided to fuse their attacks. Literally.

How? You ask. Well, they decided to form units of two individuals; one Sovereign "Striker" and one Believer "War-Mage".

In order to ensure maximum efficiency and also to forestall potential splitting of units—due to the obvious and overwhelming differences between both parties, a consensus was reached to perform a "Shackling" ritual. Once performed, members of a unit become spiritually bound to one another, so that when one suffers physically or mentally, an empathetic response is triggered in the other.

There's a good side to Shackling as well though; or at least, a beneficial side of it for the war. Shackled units literally have the mana of the Believers merged with the spirit of the Sovereigns. This consequently increases the depth of their energy reserves, while also granting the extra perk of imbuing the attacks of each member of a unit, attributes from their partners.

Whew! I hope I explained all that shit well enough. I'm always open to questions and requests for further clarification, alongside any ideas or modifications that can spice this thing up even more.

Fuck! I almost forgot to add that I'll be playing a Sovereign Striker.

Things to Expect: Action, Adventure, Warfare, Bound Spirits, Reluctant Alliances, Forced Proximity, World-building, Statecraft, Competing Interests, Different Perspectives, Romance.

_(I'm STILL sorely in need of a good old fashioned fantasy themed story for my current hoard. If you pick this, and come with your A-game, odds are, we're gonna write something neither of us would forget soon).

Hey! Not every idea I have can be as fleshed out as those ones, but they deserve to be aired out as well. It's for that reason that I'll add another section to this thread so.

PLOT NUGGETS

Like I said earlier, the ideas here won't necessarily be as fleshed out as the ones above. This means that these ones will need to be discussed further in PM. Hell, I enjoy bouncing ideas off my partners' heads, anyways.

So I'm currently picturing a world where one nonchalant action leads to some not so pleasant consequences. And as I was typing that, I realized that I ought to back up and start at the beginning. Well, here goes nothing.

So, the basic idea is that my main character; a human male, discovers a weak inter-dimensional rift that leads to... well, another realm of course.

Curiosity gets the better of him, and in his attempts to investigate the weird shimmering space he encountered, he unwittingly stretches the already thin barrier seperating the earth from another realm. (The realm, it's inhabitants and any other detail about it should definitely be discussed in Pm)

Lost, alarmed and stunned, MC is left to cycle through a range of emotions from awe to dread. That is of course, until the locals notice him. All his awe melts away and the overwhelming force of self-preservation kicks in. He turns and flees, realizing at once that he's made a very big mistake. What he didn't realize however, is how big and costly that mistake will actually be.

Well, here's a rundown of certain things I expect in this plot. The inhabitants of the realm behind the rift are definitely not human. They have to be sentient though. They can be aliens, gods, shifters... whatever your mind can come up with. My only limit on this, is that they at least be humanoid, or have a humanoid form they appear in most of the time.

Details are still sketchy from here, but a few ideas I have are:

MC runs into yours in his haste: YC's agenda and how she will respond is a broad spectrum of possibilities that I'll happily leave to you to decide. She could decide to be a hero for her people by capturing the stranger, she could decide to help him out... it goes on and on.

Did I forget to mention that the inhabitants behind the rift have an ancient grudge with humans that they nursed through the ages? My bad lol. For this reason alone, there'll be no flash friendships, even if your character does decide to help.

Passing through that rift will trigger some gradual changes in my character. It's not something that'll be noticeable from the start, but overtime, he'll gain certain abilities that he can't explain.

So the rift was breached by the humans first! This breaks the bond between humans and the inhabitants behind the rift made GENERATIONS ago. While the inhabitants behind the rift nursed their anger towards humans and ensured that new generations knew of this bond and what it meant if either race breaks it, humans have been... well doing what humans do best, lol. I'm thinking, the inhabitants behind the rift were severly exploited and mistreated by humans in a distant past when they lived together. So, sick of the mistreatment, the other race decided to move behind the rift and into a harsh and untamed world. That should explain the bond and the hatred.

I'm sure I don't need to add this one but... WARFARE! The humans breached the rift first, no explanation needed, they deserve to be invaded and to suffer generations worth of pent up anger. Only, it'll be far from a piece of cake as humans have been making huge technoligical advancements through the ages.

So, that's all my brain can come up with for now! Hopefully it's good and not jumbled enough to catch someone's attention.

Things to Expect: Prepare to cook with me (I kid you not!), Interdimensional Shenanigans, Radically Different Perspectives, Wrong place—Wrong time, Institutionalized Hate, Narrative Bigotry, Warfare, Competing Interests.

_(Don't let the low stars discourage ya. If this caught your eye or sparked an idea for you, do reach out).

Please note that all ideas are open to modifications, I want my partners to be as into the story as I am.

Well, that's all for now. Hopefully, I've done enough to lure you to my inbox.

Welcome!

Quite the thread! Many of your idea's are wonderful and will strike the muses of most of our writers :) I wish you all the luck!
I have some open stories too if you want to take a look through those as well. Maybe we can do something, maybe not. Who knows!

Hey there! I'm glad that you appreciate my thread 😁

Honestly, I've been here for a bit, but haven't got any plausible activity going on whatsoever. I figured it's time I changed that. I'll be glad to run my eyes through your open threads, I'm quite eager to break my barren spell here lol. (I was considering using a certain word that begins with the letter "V" in place of "barren spell", but thought betty of it 😆)

By the way, while I run my eyes through your threads, are there any ideas of mine that caught your eye? Also, I'm quite used to conversing in PM, I'd love that we ship over future discussions there, it's just what I'm used to. Conversing on my request thread weirds me out a bit.

Hey, read over your thread and some plots you have cooking up. I'm very interested in trying out a roleplay with you. I as well fell off the wagon a bit so I completely understand if replies come when able.
If you have time and desire, check me out and let me know in interested. 😊💕
