Name: Malphas, Demon of Deceit
Alias: Matthew Marke
Age: About 2,000, give or take 30 years
Gender: Male
Species: Demon
Weapons/Powers:
Story:
- Polymorphy - Malphas has three forms which he can shift between at will: his natural, demonic form; a large crow; and a human form. Every transformation emits so much energy that Malphas's location is obvious to every angel in the area, but once having taken a form, Malphas's hellish nature is nigh undetectable. In every form, he speaks with a hoarse voice befitting a pack a day smoker.
- Supernatural Persuasion - Malphas will appear as trustworthy or, at the very least, not immediately suspicious to those who don't know demonic status. Things he says, like explanations for his whereabouts, also seem to true unless there is direct evidence to the contrary. This ability does not work on humans who know already know he is lying, humans who know that he is a demon, or any angel.
- Avianlingualism - When in bird form, Malphas can understand and be understood by fellow birds. It's... not as useful as it sounds. Birds are jerks.
Young by the standards of most eldritch demons, Malphas doesn't have much to his story. He first came into being sometime around the birth of the Nazarene and since then has built a minor reputation as a spy and infiltrator. In the guise of a human, he would work his way into people's confidences before sewing discord and strife. For the past several decades, he's been operating under the alias of Matthew Marke, a tongue in cheek reference to the Gospel. His duties required him to spend long stretches away from Hell and as such he will more often than not find it easier to relate with humans than with other demons. Also, Earth's pop culture is infinitely more entertaining than Hell's. Or at least, it used to be. There just haven't been any good hit singles since the onset of the Apocalypse.

Being as your character wouldn't know about the hell mission, as no one outside that meeting did, you probably should at least redact that part.Will do. Want me to edit my post?
@TheDovah
I don't want to interrupt anything you may have planned, but if you're looking for someone to interact with, I could have Malphas arrive at Camp David.
