Welcome to my own little slice for RP hooks and interests in the vast wasteland that is this section. This is meant to serve as an overall 'profile' look at what sort of things I enjoy and those that I certainly don't. I would consider it to always be subject to changing / modification as new RP Hooks pop into my head or I think of better ways to define some of the likes / dislikes I have for certain things.

About Me​

I am a relatively experienced RPer who has been writing and role-playing for nearly 20 years. I started on play-by-post forums like this in the early 00's and then transitioned to real-time MUDs / MOOs / MUSH text based games where I did the brunt of my roleplaying. I have a desire for more lengthy detail and scene setting, which is why I was driven to come back to Play-By-Post, where you have the freedom to be more intricate.

I prefer multi-paragraph style writing and generally fall within 3-5 on average. I'd humbly request that you have a decent grasp on grammar and sentence structure, but everyone makes mistakes occasionally and I understand. I am an active writer, though very much prefer quality over quantity. On average I reply 1 Reply Per Day, though occasionally will have more depending on partner cohesion.

Not driven by smut and not looking to fulfill your darkest BDSM fantasies. I'm here to write and roleplay, not publish your own personal Harlequin novel. Nothing against people who are driven by those environments, but I am not one of them. Intense scenes with justified character development are acceptable and even enjoyable, but don't expect it to be the basis of any story I'm participating in.​

Things I Dislike / No-Go's for Me​

I'm not particularly interested in established worlds or FanDoms. I'm not keen on playing in a world that's already well developed by a lengthy history of writers. Settings loosely based on pre-existing settings are fine, we all draw inspiration from somewhere. Supernatural is fine, but it needs to be original in some fashion otherwise I find it gets stale face and devolves into an already overdone trope of Vampire/Werewolf/Demon plot. I covered it briefly in my 'About Me' but I don't care about smut. It's not a draw for me, and I'm not actively looking for it. Unless it's justified by quality plot development, I can live without it.

Cyberpunk-Esque:

MC x YC ( M x A ) are freelance job-runners, corporate or criminal espionage for the highest bidder. We both get paired together on a job, it goes well, until we realize all of our assets are seized and we can't go back to our homes because a powerful corporation is after us for something we don't think we did. It was a setup, and we're the fall crew.​

Virtual Reality:

MC x YC ( M x A ) are just your average, every day MMO player. They play the game, they have a 'normal' life outside of it, to some degree, but are active in the MMO community. Some of their party of regular player friends start disappearing, not just going offline, but as if they never existed. It's a critical bug in the game that is being exploited, and players are being targeted outside the game. With no other choice, MC x YC do the unthinkable - they meet up in person to figure out how to stay alive, and how to figure out what's happening.​

The Wild West:

MC x YC ( M x F ) are from different worlds, or at least they might as well be. MC is a grizzled mountain guide who's been employed to escort and show YC to the area the gold was found, and then help find 'the next great dig site' to help win YC's fortune. How YC got to this point, where their money is from, etc, totally up to you. YC could either want to embrace the rugged lifestyle, or resent it.

1920's Gangsters & Gin ( ongoing /w @Nibblezzzzz )

Detective / Cult / Cop Plot :

MC x YC ( M x A ) a detective at the local Police Department, MC is assigned to a case of a grizzly murder. One murder turns into a series and there is increasingly worrisome supernatural themes to them. A cult seems to be plaguing the once peaceful town. I'm okay with there being some small to moderate 'magic' going on in this plot, but the focus should be trying to explain everything in a way that makes sense, even if it doesn't. YC could be his partner, a beat cop who gets pulled into the fray because they saw something, or even a potential victim. Either way, they wind up together investigating it together.​

Of Knights & Men:

MC x YC ( M x A ) are in a time where people were not promoted to a station, or earned their worth, they were simply born to it. MC is a peasant serf who works some sort of menial, manual labor. The noble and favorable King passes, leaving his tyrant of an heir to rule. He begins hosting savage tourneys of commonfolk to fight to the death for his entertainment and a chance at wealth. YC is another participant or working class person, perhaps MC and YC are paired up as a team, or perhaps they are enemies at the beginning. One/Both of them are victorious, but the new King doesn't uphold his word and they are cast out and sold like livestock. MC and YC begin a campaign to raise an army and get revenge on such a tyrannous ruler.​
