Alas, it is impossible for me to stay away. It's a creative itch that I simply cannot scratch unless I'm hunched over my laptop, maniacally typing away at god knows what hour.
After a two year hiatus from roleplay in a different forum, my self-restraint caved and I've come to join the community here for a change of scenery. It's nice to get out of your comfort zone and check out the other neighbourhoods, I think. Roleplay has been a part of my life for close to ten years now, and while my relationship with it has been rather on and off, I'd like to think I know what I'm doing. I'm not sure if there's a certain standard expected here, but I heavily favour a multi-paragraph style of writing and tend to sit around a 500+ word length but can go a little over 1k if I'm feeling particularly inspired.
My preferences? Honestly, I'm pretty open to all genres, as long as the plot is good, but lashings of romance are always a yes in my book. I typically go for original settings and characters but may be tempted by something fandom based if I'm familiar enough with it.
Usually, I aim to post a couple of times a day depending on the flow and length of the roleplay but I'm a full-time university student so sometimes real life responsibilities can get in the way. If anything does crop up I'll always make an effort to clearly communicate that
I'm yet to have a rummage around in the forums, though I wonder if BBCode is enabled here? Either way, I'm really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things!

I've only ever done one 1x1 in my life, so I'm not 100% sure how to go about it all but if that's what's popular here I'll have to have a proper think about what I'm looking for. All these years and there's still a learning curve lmao
