Leitmotif! (Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice)
Hey there Inner Sanctum. I'm AesopAthlete, Aesop (different Aesop, I'm not Aesop Rock) or AA, whatever you want to call me. I'm a creative writer in my mid 20's who enjoys good music, good company, interesting shows, riveting tales, and so on.
Genres and 'interests'... I'm very much a flexible type of guy, though I prefer historical fiction/historical fantasy, sci-fi, action, elements of horror, and so on! Behind closed doors I'ma bit of a softie, so I don't mind elements of romance to go along with the more erogenous aspects of RP.
Verisimilitude is a great thing to have when writing, in my opinion. I like to put myself in the shoes (or boots, or sandals, or footpads) of the characters I write. Not in a power trip, 'self-insert' type of way, more like through worldbuilding and wordsmithing. What are their ambitions, hopes, desires? Their strengths and character flaws? Deepest fears? Immersion is a lovely thing. (Also, booty. Who doesn't like booty?)
