A recurring theme in my creative life is to dismantle and resolve any piece of art I'm passionate about, be it writing, painting, sketching, or the process of recording music. If I'm not engrossed for hours at a time — refining prose, a melody, a particular brush stroke, for the sake of seeking transpiration into the essence of what that is, I find there is little solace in the completed project.

This translated into my personal life can be quite cacophonous, as I find it notoriously difficult to divulge on my own behalf, hence why this introduction is being posted after I've already established myself in a few areas on the Sanctum.

A belated hello to you all, and thank you for this platform to host our creative endeavors. (I always feel as if I am trying to sell something when crafting these sorts of pieces.) But, if we are to know ourselves better than anyone else, I'll happily resolve to simply endure in the abstract of all that makes me who I am.

I began to invest in multi-layered characters that evolved from concepts to tangible beings while I fumed at my dial up internet connection, with its frequent disconnects that prompted me to completely reconstruct what I had been composing once I was back online: in summary, a roleplayer's nightmare. Mentioning this to anyone from a time when this was prevalent in the roleplay world evokes comparable frustrations. However, it also evokes a yearning for a time when the community of creators was actively involved in connections, their creations, and plot lines. In the wake of America Online's death, I've witnessed a proliferation of platforms with roleplay presence. That was the beginning of my love affair with a cosmos as rich and alive as I continue to let it be, regardless of who chooses to attend my invitations to assemble and build bridges between their character's world and my own.

I delighted in the prospect of welcoming others into my creative corner, and then expanding upon it with those who shared my passion. We had a community regardless of where we were from, what our genre was, or who we chose to portray. We conversed with individuals in order to learn more about their complex inner layers, and not for ulterior motives or manipulative purposes you see becoming more prevent now like a plague. This rich imaginative machine flourished as a result of our understanding, and this equilibrium was based on our muses and consequent respect for all individuals beyond their creation. (Before we even knew what roleplay was, some of us in high school were sending notes with different personas to our pals. - Me.)

My foundations were established in the otherworldly regions that enshrouded my legion of vampiric creatures, anchored in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade. Since then, I have oscillated between genres that contrast one other. Lately, I find myself appreciating a plethora of casual scenes presenting a slice of life chronicle that frequently finds its equilibrium and evades a lackluster tempo with the appearance of the human condition, in a plurality of fissures exemplifying the muse's fragmented existence. Simply put, I find it intriguing to be an imperfect human at times.

When we are writers at heart, I believe we will always be writers. No matter the circumstances, no matter how tough it may be to kindle the fire of our inspiration, no matter how many commitments life throws at us, we must always follow our passion. People have sometimes departed because the fire was extinguished without a catalyst; without a community. As a writer, it breaks my heart to see this because I can relate. Loneliness is a thorn that isolates a person, regardless of where they are striving to find stability.

I will be chasing the words to depict the renditions of my soul until I can no longer envision them. Until my hands can no longer pen or type the prose to convey it, I know I will still be fabricating stories, scenarios, and emulating personalities of those who move and inspire me. My dedication to this craft is unwavering.

Last but not least, the second indicator that setting the stage for this introduction would take some time: If I try to condense a post into a shorter version, I may wind up with a novel. Nonetheless, I appreciate your spending your time reading this.
