i'm not gonna sit here and list a bunch of rules or anything. we're all adults! all i really ask for is understanding and respect. i'm a very patient person when it comes to roleplay and never want anyone (or myself) to feel pressured to write. for me, as long as i know both of us are still interested in the story, the amount of time it takes to write isn't as important to me. if you lose interest in your character, i'm always happy to let my partners rework them or play someone new in the story entirely. and if you lose interest in the plot as a whole, that's totally okay too! please just let me know if that happens :) all site rules must be followed too, all main characters must be 18+ for any story.
i am a multiple paragraph roleplayer, and you'll likely rarely catch me writing any less than 3 paragraphs, but i tend to write more than that. i'm not sure about word count, but something around 300+ feels right? though this all honestly depends on several things such as what my partner is comfortable with, the flow of the story, and my energy levels, just to name a few. as for characters, i prefer playing original characters over canon characters. it's rare that i've found a canon character i feel i can play properly. i tend to mostly write as female characters, but on occasion will play a non-binary role, and on rarer occasions, a male role. as you can probably guess from where this is being posted, i'm not interested in writing any smut. however, that doesn't mean i'm opposed to romance at all. for romantic pairings, i normally go for fxf or fxnb, and on occassion - if the plot idea is really good - fxm. if we're discussing a romance plot, we can go over the details of what we're both comfortable with in dms! i'm okay with violence and things like that, but don't usually make it the forefront of any story. i think that covers most things, if i missed anything you're wondering just ask!
most of these ideas are first come first serve, so i'll probably be removing or crossing them out if they get taken!

stardew valley - doesn't have to be stardew exactly, it can be inspired by. but basically just a cozy small town/farm roleplay. with this i would consider playing multiple roles, or maybe making into a group type thing with someone, but i'm also fully okay just having it be a 1x1 - just throwing out some options. i have a character for this idea already who's an oc. if we did actual stardew, i'd be fine with my partner playing an oc or canon npc from the game.
soap opera - just something really fun and dramatic - let's get crazy with it!! would love for it to be a messy soap opera romance, but open for other things with this idea too. family drama would also work really well here, i think. i'm open to ideas!
pokemon - do you wanna be the very best? i do! so let's be pokemon trainers! can be from any region, and have any trainer goal your heart desires. i would be playing an oc for this, you're more than welcome to play oc or canon from the series or games. we can travel, get into pokemon battles, catch new pokemon, and just rule the pokemon world!!

doctor who - so this isn't really a "doctor who" roleplay idea, but more based on it / within the same universe essentially. i have a time lord (well, time lady) oc that i've been wanting to write with for years now. she's called the wanderer, but goes by wanda. so she's like the doctor in the sense that she has a tardis and can travel time and space, and i'm basically looking for a companion for her. can be any age, race, gender, etc. can even be an alien race. can either be a plot where they just travel everywhere and each place is like its own separate story, or we can come up with a reason why they're going everywhere in connection to a bigger plot.
low fantasy
the princess and the jester - i've really wanted to do this for so long. i'd really love fxf for this, but am okay discussing other pairings as well. if it ends up feeling right then it's right! so the idea is basically what the title says - a princess and a jester. for this, i'd like to play the princess role. i would love for it to be a slow burn romance, where they first become friends and then fall for each other. i want little cute moments but also all the angst since their positions of power, social status, etc. will all come into play.
high fantasy
harry potter - to make this work the characters would have to be older (18+), so either the plot can take place sometime after hogwarts when they're older, or alternatively, we could make hogwarts a university. if you're interested in writing in this world/universe, we can hash out the details of everything in messages!
