Greetings! You can call me Kex. I'll spare you the drawn out version of my autobiography, but suffice to say I've been roleplaying for nearly 18 years. I tend to match my partner's length, though if my partner is also a mirror then you can generally expect 400-500 words from me. I'm on nearly daily, though I do work full time. Ideally I love partners who can rapid-fire post or reply at least every couple days, but don't let that scare you off.

SPECIFIC PLOTS:
At the earliest recorded history, our ancestors defeated a band of dark magicians and sealed their souls within a relic known as the Coerso Devyrn or 'soul cube.' This smoky piece of glass was held in the deepest reaches of the Oronian vaults, until nearly a century ago. A group of bandits had heard tales of an incredibly powerful relic buried under the Alavan Mountains and sought it out, eventually finding the soul cube and, of course, stealing it.
However, just touching the relic with bare skin is enough to impart some of the evil energy within to the holder. Voices of the sealed souls screamed inside the unfortunate bandit's skull and he dropped the item, breaking it into three pieces and releasing the magicians. From that moment the band returned to their bodies and began to regain their strength, carrying one of the pieces with them. The bandits took another piece and fled.
Things have been quiet for so long that this generation has lost all belief in the dark magicians. Little do they know, however, that the band of evil is ready to begin their reign of terror all over again. Our heroes must seek out and reassemble the Coerso Devyrn, sealing away the enemy again before they bring the world back to darkness.

Hell sucks. Even when you're a demon. So when given the chance, our characters escaped the pit and inhabited the bodies of two small babies. We had no desire to be banished from our new bodies and back to Hell, so we resolved to just live completely normal human lives. Our families had no idea, and we congratulated each other on our successful escape.
This worked really well, until our families decided to test the waters of religion. Every time we returned to our home town from college, they grew more and more suspicious about our vehement refusals to have anything to do with their new lifestyle. Things came to a head when MC received a blessed rosary for Christmas, and it burned his skin when he opened it. YC has similarly been exposed, be it accidentally coming across holy water, being forced to sit through family bible study, or whatever you choose the undoing to be.
Now the dilemma: We must admit to our families that they've been raising demons. Will they try to exorcise us? Or will they love us as they always have?

Set deep in the countryside of Vaqueria, Brightmore Academy accepts only the brightest (and usually richest) of pupils. This finishing school is open to those 18 and older, as magic is forbidden to be taught to anyone under age due to their...volatile nature. While tuition to attend this institution is obviously astronomical, the academy offers three scholarships per year to those of the lower classes who show magical prowess. Most say this is simply a ploy to look better in the eyes of the community (and the academy board makes no attempts to deny it), but the tradition continues.
Muse A is from the lower working class, and has dreamed of attending the academy since childhood. Through hard work and dedication, (s)he did manage to get in this year. Muse B, on the other hand, was born into wealth with a silver spoon in his/her mouth, as the saying goes. From day one they've had everything handed to them by mommy and daddy, including the tuition to the elite academy. Upon arrival, they find it harder to live alone without their servants than they expected. The two find themselves paired off straight away in class, and must learn to put aside their differences if they are going to make it through the semester.

YC and MC have answered the call of adrenaline and find themselves standing with cameras, sleeping bags, and supply packs at the door of a supposedly haunted cabin. I know what you're thinking: how stereotypical can you get? But here's the thing. The cabin? Definitely haunted. Our characters? Not your usual horror movie idiots. No, I'm looking for a story where the characters make all the right decisions and still end up having a horrifying weekend. Will they make it out? Who knows. They might... They might not. Let's find out together.
MC and YC have been neighbors and best friends from childhood. Pictures of the pair are scattered throughout both homes: small faces covered in mud, birthday parties, school plays, and graduation. Always together and inseparable.

They each have a secret motive for the trip, however...YC and MC have been in love with each other for years, but neither has been willing to risk their friendship by announcing their feelings. Now that they are about to be separated anyway, it's time to admit and see what happens. Who will do it first? What will happen?
