I have craved a sci-fi story for yearssss. This is going to be my very focused thread on just that.
About me
I'm a man. I've been roleplaying for well over a decade now. I suffer from being overly enthusiastic for my stories. I'm a fanboy of what I(we) create. I typically write between 500-1k words, though I can go beyond, or less if a dialogue scene calls for it. I wouldn't say I'm a mirror poster, I just write what I feel needs to go into each reply. I tend to reply within 1 to 3 days. When work is wild it can be worse. However, with the type of partners I prefer, you'll still hear from me daily ooc at least.
What I need
I need a partner who has a high energy for plotting. If you prefer not to talk, I'm going to lose interest fast. If you can't answer ooc messages for days at a time, I'll probably get in my head and want to stop. I just don't enjoy writing with people where I feel enthusiastic by myself for our story.
Perfect world, we talk about our story and what's coming in the future as we go. We have a Pinterest, maybe discord to organize some stuff for memory. I like to make a timeline for events we’ve thought, it helps us never get stuck.

The Sci-Fi Story
Have you ever watched Starship Troopers?
Ever played StarCraft?
I'm looking for something massive. The universe is ours to play with and we don't need to build every aspect of it before we start.
This should have exploration, war, horror, and grand politics.
The premise is that mankind has expanded far beyond our galaxy and then fractured. Various regimes and alliances have been formed. We weren't alone, not even close, there are other races. Perhaps we expanded too far and now a horde of space bugs are sweeping through galaxies.
Where do our characters come in? Wherever we want them to, in whatever corner of the universe we'd like. With such a large playground it would be easiest to start small. Example: MC is the seasoned leader of a landing squad, YC the new medic. They're a part of a much larger force tasked with clearing a planet of our unfriendly space bugs. So they only have a small portion of the fight to handle before they're back on ship.
Bite size things until we get our feet wet with the story.
Maybe the characters are adventurers, mercenaries who get paid to tag along for high profile missions. MC is the group leader, YC specializes in something they're missing after losing a member.
Maybe YC's some VIP woman and MC's the lead of the high class escort. Of course shit goes wrong, terribly. This will be the longest she's ever gone without a mani/pedi weekend.
If I'm being real, I'd love to shamelessly use inspiration from all sorts of futuristic stories we might be familiar with. Halo spartan type suits? Hell yeah.
Regardless of the setting, I love romance. Slow burns are my thing. If our characters are mouthy and bicker often I'll be in heaven.
Kinks, I'm down for anything if it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in our story. We can discuss as we go. I won't put a ratio on the story for smut, it all depends on the nature of our duo.
I'll have side characters. They might have a lot of depth to them. It really depends on if you also write side characters like that. I'd prefer it! It makes the world lively and keeps our characters from seeming like loners.
