⠀hello hello!⠀
please message me instead of replying here, as i'd like to try and keep this clean. now, onto a bit about me, and what i'm looking for!
post length.
⠀⠀i am looking to write between 1k words upwards to 3k depending on the context or necessity. on an average day from me you can expect 1.5k words, however if it is asked of me i can either lower this number or try to pull it up. so long as the roleplay is fun and our writing styles really compliment one another i believe we can make anything work!
replying.
⠀⠀while i will do my best to reply as often as i can, a good estimate would be a day upwards to three days. my general rule is if i can't answer within three days i will let you know in advance and try to estimate when the next reply will arrive. in a dream scenario i can pump out two or three replies a day if we are both really feeling the momentum.
what i enjoy.
⠀⠀adventures, magical worlds bubbling with secrets, mystery dramas uncovering a whole mess of questions, all of those things get me really excited! i like to see myself as someone who enjoys everything, so whichever genre you throw at me i'll be very excited to experiment with. however i do have some clear favourites, for example historical fantasy has such a grip on my heart i cannot reject a plot involving it. and on the other hand sci-fi, while i am open to it, does not excite me in the same way as a horror plot might. you're always welcome to come to me with anything, though! trying new things is always fun!
what i don't enjoy.
⠀⠀despite not having any clear triggers or preferences, there's a couple of things i'll chalk up to me either disliking or just not wanting in my roleplay. number one thing is smut and only smut. while i do understand some people enjoy it, it's just not for me. that being said i am fine with sex scenes so long as they make sense within the story and we do not use it as the main focus of our plot. and i really can't enjoy a roleplay unless both parties are interested. if all you're giving me is to make choices for you, or you don't add anything to the plot to make it exciting i'll lose interest within the first few replies. i'm looking for a joint effort. apart from all that, i do not have any triggers to specify, you can push our plot into outright heavy cosmic horror categories and i'd be fine with it!
and just somethin' about my hobbies and interests.
⠀⠀writing being a given hobby, followed by reading are the two things i'll consider my secondary go-to's for passing time. but before i pick up a book i find myself reaching for games like stardew valley, overwatch, warframe and league. and if none of those strike me today i love to crochet, knit, and sew! so if you see me online but not replying i'm just doing one of these things to relax before i get back at it. as for ooc chat i do love conversing with people so feel free to contact me even if it's just to gush about a movie you just watched! trust me i'll definitely go screaming over market prices in warframe trade chat every now and again.
fandoms.
⠀⠀there will be a list in my plots with specific series, and underneath you'll be able to see a vague list of either ocs i have for the fandom or set characters. if you're unsure about some fandoms please do ask me. i am very forgetful and i left out a lot of names! these roleplays are as welcome as any other but if we want a roleplay set specifically for our ocs to romance the established characters or create bonds with them i'd like us to discuss who can roleplay who of the cast so we don't get tangled up in that. and that we both use a character each to keep it fair rather than one person plays their own character and the other is sorta limited.
⠀⠀interest.
⠀⠀⠀my general rule of thumb is that no roleplay is worth partaking in if the person i am doing it with does not appear to be enjoying it. with that said a decent enough giveaway of that to me is your interest in our plot and characters. if i, or the plot, bores you it is perfectly fine you tell me! even if you don't want to outright end our contact or roleplay it's important we communicate what we enjoy and don't enjoy so we can work on it. i do my best to be open to constructive criticism so do feel free to talk to me about any issues you may have!
⠀⠀writing.
⠀⠀⠀although i can understand that everyone has their writing preference, i may not be for you if you write one or two paragraphs per response. i'm looking for someone who can engage me with their writing and very rarely do i feel engaged after half a minute of reading. same goes for grammar, i understand a few typos here and there or misplaced words. it happens, and i am very often at fault for those mistakes too. so long as they aren't common enough to hinder our experience and i can understand what you're saying i am alright with it.
⠀⠀characters.
⠀⠀⠀i love a nicely written character. with their own problems and flaws, questions they need answers, and a purpose. so long as your character is three-dimensional and has their own role to play apart from serving as a stepping stone for the plot i believe i'll absolutely love them. and under the topic of characters it'd help me a lot if we could both play side-characters when a need arises. with that said how i typically do that is by each person having their own set of side-characters they play so that i don't butt in and overtake your own character and you let mine all be written under my replies.
⠀⠀plots.
⠀⠀⠀you're welcome to come to me with your own set of plots, or choose from mine. it'd be nice if you could tell me one or two that particularly strike your interest to get us talking, or we could try and brainstorm a fully new one if none of them seem enjoyable but you'd still like to roleplay. all i'm asking of you is that we keep the plot interesting. be it with betrayal, character injuries, anything that creates conflict or pushes for confrontation between other characters. so long as we have a goal in mind and keep visibly pushing for it despite all the set backs i'm happy.
