I’ve been dying to revisit a very specific RP concept I wrote in the past! Unfortunately, it was dropped before it could really take off, and I’d love to give it another shot with someone new.
Pairing: MxF or MxM
Themes: Fantasy, Time Reversal, Betrayal, Love, Fate, Heroism, and Moral Conflict
Tone: Epic, emotional, slow-burn, with room for action and heartbreak and major sexy scenes
There’s a heroic trio Characters A, B, and C chosen by the church to defeat a demon lord threatening the world. They’re everything the world loves: young, righteous, chosen. The perfect heroes. Or at least Characters A and C are.
(These traits are just an example.)
When the killing blow comes, C betrays them, shoving A into the demon’s attack. A dies and C plans to spin the story so that they are the sole survivor, the “hero” who will claim all the glory.
B kills them. But it’s too late, A is gone.
In desperation, grief, and rage, B makes a vow: They'll burn the entire world down if it means getting A back.
And somehow… the gods listen.
Time resets to the day their journey began. When the expedition is planning to leave the church.
Now B must find a way to rewrite fate. They'll need to kill the demon lord, to stop C’s treachery, and save A… even if they still love the man destined to betray them.
I also have this idea for a Variant Path that could also be super fun!
As the timeline resets, Character D emerges.
They are a “side character” from the original journey, and are someone who died early in the journey that was all but forgotten.
But now, things are different.
With B’s actions subtly changing the course of events, D survives longer… maybe befriends A, or helps uncover the cracks in C’s perfect mask.
And somewhere along the way, D becomes something more.
Where A and C’s story was fate, B and D’s story could be choice.
A slow, aching bond forged in the wake of pain and purpose, proof that maybe love isn’t about rewriting destiny, but finding the courage to live beyond it.
It asks the question if B will keep chasing the dream of saving/romancing A or finally see the light that’s been beside him all along with D?
Depending on your preferences, we could even explore a side romance with A (if you enjoy multi-pairing or multi-POV storytelling).
Overall I know it's a very specific kind of plot but I've been CRAVING this and I would love if someone reached out to roleplay it with me
