In the 6th century, a fraternity of wealthy landowners who fancied games & profits was founded the same time as when playing cards had trended. Cardholders lived & died playing for 17 centuries the ancient underworld game they call "the World".

The Card Society manipulates the world today. Invisibly, from the shadows & in plain sight. All around the globe, in the nations they had designed & built, there are under a hundred chapters of the Card Society currently active. The settings of our premise are locked to the following two American gaming secret cities.

Western. Surrounded by 27 Native American tribes, over 300 mountains, silver & gold mines, & numerous ghost towns. Despite its nickname as the Silver State, Nevada is actually the largest gold-producing state in the nation. Libertarian & artistic environment. Triple-digit dry heat, mainly indoors during summer. Warm to mild days & more bustling peak during winter with rodeos. Laws: It is illegal to ride a camel on a highway. Also illegal to pawn your own dentures & to feed pigeons. Animals are strictly forbidden on the Las Vegas Strip between noon & 5am, unless they’re a service dog. While you can openly walk around & drink alcohol on the Las Vegas Strip, doing so out of a glass container or within 1,000 feet of the store where you bought the packaged alcohol is a misdemeanor. Smoking or consuming marijuana in public spaces remains strictly illegal across the state. Prostitution is legal in Nevada but illegal in Las Vegas. You must be 21 or older to check in your hotel in Las Vegas, & hotels there prohibit parties. Jaywalking is very penalized. Card counting & other forms of cheating is a category B felony that can result in imprisonment for up to six years. You can't take photos on the casino floor. It is strictly forbidden to have phones out & to speak a language other than English while playing table games. Landmarks: Fremont Street Experience, Fountains of Bellagio, Cirque du Soleil, Sphere, The Mob Museum.

Eastern. Diner capital of the world & nicknamed the Garden State. Pizzas, bagels, hoagies, blueberries, cranberries, tomatoes, disco fries, & saltwater taffy. Proud working-class grit. One of the biggest online sports betting markets in the nation. More bustling peak during summer with parasailing & fireworks. More windy, snowy, mainly indoors during winter. Laws: No pumping your own gas. No buying or selling cars on Sundays. The beach is closed from 10:00pm to 6:00am; walking or lounging outside these hours is illegal. Drinking in public is illegal except within designated open-container zones. Smoking or vaping any substance, including tobacco & cannabis, is completely prohibited on both the beach & the boardwalk. Sleeping under the boardwalk, swimming outside guarded hours, & playing catch or Frisbee during peak summer months are strictly prohibited. Fortune-telling is restricted. Human composting is permitted. Wearing a bulletproof vest while committing a violent crime is an extra, specific criminal offense. As cardholder in the House, you resume life in your prime. May it be during work, university, holidays, or emergencies, you await the Court's call to play simple to complex games & complete unexplained tasks for ludicrous rewards. That may not be all cardholders in the House do. Since each card is one of its kind & each cardholder can hold up to two cards, some may scheme to replace each other & rank up.

The Court upholds the World & at times will call on the House to play games & complete tasks in exchange for rewards. Anyone can be manipulated into being accomplices & scapegoats this way. The Foxes, Royale, & Aces oversee special cases between cardholders & dole out judgment. Royale & Aces hoard the best perks within their Suit while the mastermind dealer Ace of Arrows indulges in the finest of all Suits.

The Egg is the Ace of Arrow's prized person therefore untouchable. If harm were to inflict upon the Egg, the Ace of Arrows will slaughter each cardholder in both cities & then begin again the World anew.
