Hello there. I am craving a story so very badly at the moment... I am hoping to find someone interested in just throwing a couple of characters into a plot and seeing whether they sink or swim together. I want a story that is generic so that it can be an instant writing experience, but that can easily morph into something more intricate if our characters and writing styles are compatible.
Basically I'm tired of crafting amazing plots and brainstorming with people only to have them leave a few posts in, so I thought perhaps we could skip the work and get to the fun while we get to know each other. If we hit it off we can discuss better plots in the future.
Here's what I'm looking for in a partner at the moment:
-Someone who writes at least as well as I do: decent grammar and spelling, somewhat quick at writing a response. And can write at least a paragraph or two in response.
-Someone online at the same time I am.
-Someone who prefers M/M and writing in third-person past-tense.
-Someone who can roll with the punches and craft a story as we go, without the need to necessarily discuss every little shift in plot.
Here are some examples of things I like in a story:
-Enemies-turning-friends/lovers
-Childhood friends/rivals meeting for the first time in years
-Alpha/Omega stories
-Fantasy-based stories (ex: medieval fantasy world, fantasy creatures, magic, etc)
-Slice of Life
-Villains-by-Necessity-ish story
-Probably a lot of other things I can't bring to mind right now, but throw a plot at me and I'll let you know if it's something I'm craving.
Fandoms I wouldn't mind trying out:
-Kingdom Hearts
-HTTYD
-Deltora Quest
-My Hero Academia
-Fairy Tail
Some stories we could jump into:
-Our characters are the crown princes of their respective kingdoms. An incident occurred years ago in which a mutual friend of our characters was murdered at around the same time the king or one kingdom was assassinated, and both kingdoms are locked in war over it. One kingdom is a land of brutish warriors, the other prides itself on being more modern and civilized and brings a tactical approach to the war. Eventually one prince is captured by the enemy and forced to become the opposing prince's slave. Will they be able to work out together that the war between them was staged?
-One character was a quiet, shy child during school. The other was constantly bullying him, though only truth be told it was due to a crush they had no idea how to express at that age. Eventually the shy child moved away. Years later, they return all grown up. And their bully is still there. Now they both have jobs as teachers in that very same school. How much will their past and present collide?
-One character is an Alpha who leads his pack. Another character is an Omega who was forced to flee his own pack. He happens to be this Alpha's fated mate, but he's terrified of alphas. How will the alpha convince him to stick around?
-In a world where fantasy creatures are very rare and hunted by humans who fear them, our characters have a lot to hide. One is a dragon in human form hiding the tell-tale dragon scales that betray his race which cover his wrists. The other is a an elf who has to hide his ears at all times. Can they build a friendship together while pretending to be human?
-Long ago a battle between Light and Dark forces was waged. Light won. Now it turns out the world cannot exist in Light alone, and with the balance destroyed the world is falling to one natural disaster after another. Our characters have pieced together the problem, and with no Darkness in the world to right the balance, now they must take it upon themselves to create a new darkness, lest the world be lost forever.
Or just throw something at me. No character sheets, no stress. Just a quick sort of story we can test out.
Thanks for reading this!
Hope to hear from you soon!
