I'm an older writer, as my age indicates. I've been writing since I was 14 years old, so that's a lot of years writing under my belt! I'm not new to RP, just not used to this site and forum format. I like to write stories that have a bit of action, mystery or suspense, crime, supernatural elements, spiritual themes, and gritty realism. I'm not against romance, though I'm not specifically looking for it. I'm not comfortable with writing smut, or here to do that. I'm a very character-driven and plot-driven writer. I'm all about character development as well as story. I've written some of my characters for years. Some I'm pulling out of retirement if people are interested in interacting with them. At the moment, Holt and Sabriel are the characters I have the most muse for. The link in my signature gives more details, but I'm also happy to provide more information about my characters upon request.

My replies can be anywhere from three paragraphs to fifteen. It really depends on how inspired I am and what we're writing. I never sit down with the intention to write a lot or a little; I just write until I feel that I have accomplished what I'm aiming to do. No one has to match me, but I do need something to work with. I'm quality over quantity.

Gore and violence will occasionally surface in my writing, as will some sensitive topics regarding mental health, betrayal, failed marriage, alcoholism, and references to childhood neglect and abuse. One of my characters is a villain, so expect villainous behavior from him. However, I have limits on what I write.

I do write in the Supernatural Fandom and the DC Fandom. One of my characters, Sabriel, is inspired by The Bishop's Wife. I don't think that necessarily a fandom these days, but worth mentioning!

Also, I work two jobs and have a life beyond roleplay. So I can't be expected to reply quickly, or even every day. But I will reply! I usually keep people updated about my work schedule. I'll never rush anyone, and expect that my writing partners won't rush me either.

Some things that I don't tolerate: God-moding/controlling my character and forced romance.

I don't mind MxM or MxF in my pairings, I just like for things to make sense. For there to be natural chemistry, an organic connection, a slow burn. Not rushing into it. I'm not really interested in writing a story about my characters getting married, settling down, having children, and living happily ever after. That kind of plot doesn't make sense for them. I'm very into platonic connections, friendships that turn into family.

Genres: Supernatural, Appalachian or Southern Gothic, Vintage or Noir, Modern Fantasy, Crime, Comic

Setting ideas:

— The Appalachian Mountains
— Gotham City
— NYC or any big city
— On the road
— The desert
— A bar

—Open to different settings. I have characters that could fit into any setting.

Semi-Detailed Plots:

Holt Hayes:
A hunt for a supernatural creature, travel, or finding his missing brother, Barrett. Finding missing people in the wilderness, searching for his best friend, Amos, who has gone missing, and being hired to find someone or track someone down, survival.
Harvey Dent: A plot for when he becomes Two-Face, post-becoming Two-Face, Batman: Year One Inspired, The Long Halloween inspired, a redemption arc.
Sabriel: Finding artifacts of power and hiding them, a war that breaks out in Heaven, a war between Heaven and Hell, trying to save his mortal lover from Hell, falling in love with a mortal he is helping, assisting someone with their miracle or life problem.

These are my active characters whom I have muse for at this time. I have another character to add at some point, who is a private detective/psychic detective. His name is Harvey Hudson, and he's an OC. Holt is written with a southern accent. I write with other people in the third person point of view, unless they prefer the first person point of view. I'm versatile and can do either. In my solo work, I do both. Let me know if any of these intrigue or inspire! I'm always happy to write the starter to get things started, unless the other person wants to. I'm happy to discuss ideas further, but I'm also a let's wing it with some random writing type of person too. I don't always have ideas when I sit down to discuss, but as I start writing, ideas surface. Just how my brain works.
