Supernatural Strength Kiara is imbued with supernatural strength, close to the equivalent of three to four Tom Stoltmans (Strongest man alive). Essentially, the powers that be within the universe ensured it's chosen would be able to stand toe to toe with even powerful vampires as an equal.
Enhanced agility and reflexes Another perk to the job involuntarily hoisted upon the girl is to be faster, more agile and far more instinctively reactive than most normal human beings. Vampires themselves would be a better comparison as she is built up to rival them.
Knowledge of the supernatural Aside from getting information straight from the source occasionally, Kiara has worked hard to uncover any information about potential adversaries as she can, from old texts, books, scrolls, anything she can get her hands on.
Martial arts Kiara has dedicated herself to devotedly studying three styles of martial arts: Okinawan Shorin Ryu, Muay thai and Taekwondo.

Kiara's father Carter was in the business of training Slayers, girls chosen by a mysterious force within the universe to bring balance to the world that would otherwise be thrown into chaos by the overwhelming evil of vampires, demons and many more creatures of darkness.
His organization 'Praeceptor', backed by a billionaire whose great, great grandfather was saved by a slayer, magically kept an eye out whenever a new chosen came into her power and offered her assistance in preparing for her destiny. The chosen of course, could decline, though doing so wasn't the wisest choice, albeit… it would be respected and she would be left to tackle her destiny on her own.

Becoming a chosen's Praeceptor meant connecting her with the right fighting instructors, weapon instructors, books and etc, whatever she needed. The organization paid for it all, a small price to pay for keeping the more dangerous and predatory aspects of the supernatural world in check.
The last girl Carter trained, Jaqueline Drivers, was lost in a vampire nest raid gone wrong. Apparently the vampires had rigged their nest to explode if they were attacked and it looked as though there was little chance they could win… they figured if they were going down, they would take the slayer bitch with them. Sorrowfully, that's exactly what happened.
After that, Carter sincerely wished the duty of training another slayer would not fall unto him… he already felt responsible for Jaqueline's death, he didn't want it to happen again and feel once more the stabbing pain of feeling as though he had failed another one.
He left 'Praeceptor' and took a job at his brother's law firm instead.
Three years later, Carter met a beautiful woman named Lina and fell in love, the two married after a year of dating and barely a month into the marriage, the two newlyweds crazy in love… discovered Lina was pregnant with their first child. Most people might panic and feel it was too soon, but not Lina and Carter… They were overjoyed to get their family started right away.
Tragedy struck however when Lina later died in childbirth, the doctors thankfully at the very least were able to save the baby girl, whom Carter and Lina had agreed to name Kiara.
The girl grew up having the bond of best friends with her father, but he also made certain to teach Kiara about the supernatural world and how to fight, he knew what was out there and wanted to make sure that even if he wasn't with her, she would stand at least half a chance.
When Kiara turned 14, it became obvious she was the new chosen when during a freak car repair accident, she lifted the front end of a vehicle off her father as easily as picking up a softball.
Carter was terrified by what this meant. It was now his daughter's duty to fight monsters and in turn… these monsters would be coming after her too… They were always eager to try and kill slayers when they were new and less experienced, damn cowards.
Her fighting education was stepped up significantly by that point, Carter couldn't bear it if anything happened to his daughter like what happened to Jacqueline all those years ago… which meant as well having a bomb expert teaching Kiara how to defuse one if she had the opportunity to do so.
When Kiara turned eighteen and graduated from highschool, it seemed death saw fit to steal one more beloved person from her… she came home from her very first day at her very first job at the local ice cream shop… only to find the house in shambles and her father dead on the living room floor… the words scrawled on the wall in his blood 'You are next, Slayer'.
Ever since then, Kiara had balanced doing her duty and hunting for the vampires that murdered her father.
