Dearest Monster Bait,

They tell us a congratulations is in order. You've graduated your preliminaries and are now ready to take on the final stage of training. The truth may be that your hard work and dedication has gotten you this far, that you have some sort of talent that's given you an edge. This is all fine and dandy, but we'll be the first to tell you that relying on such from here on will be a foolish move.

Class starts Monday 6AM, sharp.

We dare you to be late.

Sincerely,

The Hands That Hold Your Fate

Background Info:

Sentient Security is a security firm established when top secret experiments went a little awry. Scientists hired to create superior soldiers have conducted experiments with the goal of, essentially, giving humans animal-like abilities. Traits such as being able to see in the dark, perceiving danger from a great distance, or having quick reflexes were quite easy to transfer over to a human. However, when such a success was witnessed, the scientists didn't want to stop there. They never do, do they? If they could cause humans to develop these simple traits, what else was waiting on the horizon?

Further experimentation resulted in grander results. However, the price of altering human genetics was far greater than what they expected to pay. They soon discovered that messing with the genes meant they were also messing with the brain. Experiments began developing...odd traits. Traits that made simple humans into something more...supernatural. Deemed as Sentients, these experiments were kept under a watchful eye. Far too dangerous to release into the general population and far too erratic to use for their initial purpose of being soldiers, Sentients were, essentially, imprisoned.

Can you guess what happened next?

Yup. They broke out.

Hence, Sentient Security.

The firm's primary objective is to track down and capture these Sentients. However, there are a lot of odds and ends that go into making sure the firm is successful. As such, there are different branches within the firm. There's the clerical, there's the recreational, there's the clean-up crew, etc. You get the picture. Then there's the branch known as the Elite. The Elite are the field agents, the ones who go out and hunt these things. They are the super stars of the firm.

Oh, yeah. And they're super secret. There's no such thing as Sentients and there's no such thing as a security firm that hunts them down.

Your Characters:

You have been recruited, either from law enforcement, a mundane security team, military...somewhere that's made a recruiter take notice of you and you've been in basic training for nine months. Having succeeded where many have failed, you've been referred to the highly coveted Elite branch program. It's this program that determines whether or not you become an Elite.

However, rumor has it that not many get through this stage. In fact, it's hazy when last there was someone who actually passed. They're not named the Elite just for any reason, after all.

Your future career rides on the successful completion of this final stage of training. And honestly, you don't really wanna know what happens if you fail.

RP Setup:

It'll be run in chapters. This RP will be a story following the lives of a select few individuals as they navigate the pre-Elite program with hopes of graduating and becoming a member of the Elite branch. As is logical, scenarios will be presented in gradually increasing difficulty. Characters should respond per their personality, but I do want to say that I'm toying with the idea that there will be consequences for decisions made...including death. Dun dun dun....

But no worries. This RP is for fun, so the last thing I wanna do is devastate someone by saying their character died. o_O So! This is an idea still being brainstormed lol.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4 - 6 RPers; 1 - 2 characters each
  • Posts: at least two paragraphs in length.
  • Frequency/communication: enough to keep it alive!
  • ...if I think of something else, I'll just discuss in a OOC chat.

Interested? Go ahead and post your character ideas below. :)

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients (aka be on the Elite team):

3 Interesting Tidbits:

  1. AGE: 35
    GENDER: Male
    APPEARANCE:
    add1d4f4eb706ad01453e62ef02fca1b--man-hair-julien.jpg

PERSONALITY/ORIENTATION: Genesis is a rather sarcastic fellow, viewing most circumstances as things to brush off or laugh at. The only things he seems to give any thought to are those that could benefit him in some way. An air of confidence blankets him, which he finds most mistake as being egotistical. He isn't. His understanding of the world and how it works is simply on a higher plane. He doesn't hesitate to say exactly what's on his mind and doesn't take into consideration what others may be feeling with his words. He doesn't aim to impress and could care less about how others view him. As far as he's concerned, he lives in a dog eat dog world and when it really comes down to it, everyone is always, always, always for themselves. He just doesn't happen to be the kind to pretend otherwise. He's heterosexual, though this has been called into question countless times, which he truly doesn't give a damn about.

    BIO:

Genesis Valdus doesn't know to whom he was born to. Given up for adoption, he was told his first set of adoptive parents were instantly killed in a car accident when he was just six months old. He doesn't know how true the story was, nor any of the other stories of how every potential family died by some tragic circumstance within a couple months of adopting him. The story goes that, eventually, his name was taken off the books and in order to protect the community, he was kept in the foster system. At least, that's what the other kids would say. They called him cursed, sneered that he'd never find a family. Now this he does remember. He does remember being taunted, rocks thrown at him and spit on by the others. He does remember watching how every one of them got to meet those who would eventually become their parents. He does remember how alone he felt through it all and he remembers, that one day, even he began to believe he was cursed.

"Home"schooled, he was kept rather isolated. As such, his teenager years were filled with daring acts of rebellion. Sneaking out in the middle of the night, slipping into parties and into clubs with ease, getting drunk, getting high, staying out for longer periods of time until, one day, he met her. And the day he met her? Was the day he never went back to that foster home. He met her at 16. At 19, he enrolled in college with her. Life was good. He felt accepted. He felt loved. Like he mattered.

But he was foolish to think being cursed wasn't really a thing. 23 years old, ready to graduate with a B.S., he was out with her to celebrate. His world shattered that night.

Something attacked her, a creature he had never seen before. He let her out of his sight for only a moment and it took only a moment to have his life change forever. She...wasn't the same after being attacked, but before he could figure out what the hell was going on, she just...disappeared. Just like that. Never to be heard from again.

He didn't think a broken person could be damaged any more, but sure enough...the world proved that it could be done. His perspective on it all changed for the worse. Not that he really had a healthy perspective to begin with, but at least he had hope up until the very moment it was smothered.

He spent the next 12 years learning all he could about what the creature that attacked her could have been and was approached somewhere in year 5 to join Sentient Security. He's secretly hoping he finds her again. In the meantime, he's just having a little fun.

He's going on 7 years as being one of the two Preceptors for the Elite program. He rather enjoys the rumors, especially the more creative ones.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:

    • Keeps his hair a silvery white
    • Enjoys vibrant colors, especially incorporated into his attire and prefers to wear semi-formal clothing (likes the feel of silky fabric against his skin)
    • Wears a bracelet on his right wrist at all times: a thin, silver chain connecting to a small, silver heart. When asked about it, his response is always a crude 'Go fuck yourself'.

    Theme songs:
    Name: January Avic

    Age: 26

    Gender: Female

    Appearance:

    images

    Orientation: Bisexual

Personality: January is a self-assured, spunky woman. She knows what she likes and she isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Full of life, wanting to experience it to the fullest, she's always open to new experiences. However, that doesn't mean she doesn't have her favorites. "Shopping", skateboarding and computer programing are pastimes that will likely never change. Born with the gift of gab, she's likely to talk someone's ear off and rarely pays any attention to social cues. Friendly until she has reason not to be, she's comfortable being around most people. However, one thing that she does hate is making mistakes, so she does tend to learn and practice things to the point of neglecting the needs of her body.

Bio: January was born the younger twin by fifteen minutes. Fifteen long minutes where it was uncertain if she'd live. A story her father would tell her whenever she made poor life choices. This life was a gift, so why did she insist on squandering it?

While she was the one who tended to get the twins into trouble, her sister was the one who always managed to get them out. Both falling in love with technology at a young age, her older sister focused on hardware, while January opted on software. The more she learned, the more she realized there was a whole other world in the land of programming. A world that she could manipulate quite easily, a rabbit hole she traveled down with no intention of coming back out.

The tragic news of her sister's death only plunged her further into the abyss of technology, only now giving her an excuse to travel down criminal avenues. Authorities glossing over the details of her death, January hacked their system and discovered that her sister's death was not by natural causes, but rather, supernatural.

Her hacking caught the attention of Sentient Security. The past year she's dedicated everything to get onto the Elite Force. The only thing now in her way is graduating the Elite program.

    Talent: hacking, sleight of hand

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients: Revenge. One of them freaks killed her twin.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:
    • Is a kleptomaniac. Sometimes she finds things in her pockets she doesn't ever remember taking.

    • Always has her hair dyed some bright crazy color.

    • She loves reptiles.
Theme Song: So Am I- Ava Max

  2. Name: Serenity Owens

    Age: 33

    Gender: Female

    Appearance:
    adccde66ab0e3829508ee3eab850f12e.jpg

Personality: Serenity is the living embodiment of sarcasm and a major glutton for punishment. Sometimes it almost feels like she has some sort of death wish with the way she manages to antagonize and provoke just about everyone within moments of meeting them. She's impulsive and sharp, very good at thinking on her feet and has a tendency to spew snark and sass when she feels cornered. Ren is fiercely protective of herself and is even more so when it comes to protecting her loved ones. There is nothing she wouldn't do for the people she loves.

Bio: Comparatively speaking, her upbringing was rather normal. Separated parents eventually become divorced parents, which was for the best as a young Ren had begun to have self-damaging reactions to the tense situation.

With a drunk, indifferent father and an- unintentionally- emotionally abusive mother, Ren found a loving warmth in the arms of her older sister. When Selene was diagnosed with cancer, Serenity shattered. The loss of her sister is something that still makes her cry horribly to this day and it was also what pushed her into a dark path.

Though she always had had an attraction to the darker things in life, she had always been able to find the light in things before her sister died. After that, she found herself not caring about basically everything. Her change in personality began to earn her contempt of her supposed friends and family, but she found acceptance in Alexander Blackwell (who was very much a Sentient), and she changed further. Not for the best. He enabled her to become all of the horrible things she never thought she could be, and truthfully? Serenity enjoyed it. No more trying so hard to be a good person. Ren embraced her dark side and relished in the oddly empowering feat.

    Until she stopped.

Something caused Ren to realize what she had become. Something made her see just how toxic and enabling their relationship was, and she wanted out.

Because of her knowledge and… experience, with the secret supernatural beings out there, Serenity found herself being recruited into Sentient Security as a sort of undercover asset.

Since then she's become one of the Preceptors for the Elite program; she continues to put her knowledge and connections to good use.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:

    • Ren has so many hobbies, she's lost count. From baking, to dancing, to archery, anything she finds interesting she'll actively try to learn and play with.

    • She hates the smell of beer. Hates is. She isn't opposed to alcohol (she's lived on alcohol once or twice) but beer is a definite no for her. Something about the odor puts her in a very bad mood.

    • Instead of wearing sparkles on her hands or ears, Ren tends to wear glittering polish on her nails. Each nail is usually a different color and wow do they sparkle.

    Theme Song:

    Name: Angel Diego Gonzalez

    Age: 27

    Gender: Male

    Appearance:
    ccbf8e6a1f6fe2398852f3b880cbe600.jpg

    Orientation: Demisexual

Personality: His picture could easily be used as the definition for adrenaline junkie. His agility is his strongest asset and he's very confident in it. He learns fast, moves fast, reacts fast, and decides fast. It's his favorite thing about himself.

Angel Diego is, surprisingly, a very good listener and very easy to talk to. He's generally an approachable sort of person, he's got a winning smile and an energizing vibe about him. He's a speedy little bugger in more ways than one, good luck keeping up with him and his moods.

Though he does have a warmth to him, Angel can be cold as ice. He does not handle betrayal well and is very capable of causing harm.

Bio: Angel lost his family in a fire when he was young. He doesn't really remember it, it's mostly a blur of smoke and coughing in his memories. Sometimes, when he dreams, he can hear his dad's voice ordering him to stay low to the ground and a sound he's never been able to make sense of: Laughter?

After the fire, he grew up in a foster home. His hyperactivity often kept prospective adoptive families away from him. He'd always somehow end up on a tree or on the fridge or- in one particularly alarming incident- on the roof. He loved to climb, run, and just move all the time. It made families hesitant about taking him in. And so, Angel grew up in the foster system, always being hounded to stop running and to stay still.

Never one to do things slowly, Angel took of running the moment he was able to and kept on going. All he really needed was something to focus his energy, and he found that in the military. He was a force to be reckoned with. "Speedy Gonzalez" they called him and speed he did, through everything he set his mind on doing. It was that very speed that got him recommended for Sentient Security. He's need that fast mind of his to get him through.

Talent: His agility. Not just his physical agility, but his mental and emotional as well.

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients (aka be on the Elite team): He's not very sure actually.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:

    • He doesn't really like being called Angel. He prefers Diego or Speedy Gonzalez.

    • It's not a secret that he's a bit of an adrenaline junkie, but not many know- though it wouldn't surprise anyone to find out- that he is into a variety of extreme sports. Mountain biking, parkour, rafting, snowboarding, you name it he's tried it.

    • He's not a believer in holding back his whims. If he gets the urge to climb that tall tree outside the S.S. building, he will do it. Suddenly wants to take a dive into the pool fully clothed? Watch him jump.

    Theme Song:

  3. Name: Markus Grae Lovette

    Age: 24

    Gender: Male

    Appearance: *see below for images*

    Orientation: Whatever goes

Personality: Sarcastic and witty, cynical yet lighthearted. He is your misfit out for some fun.

Bio: Markus was raised by an uncle, the only surviving family he had, who was once a soldier. He was brought up to be independent, distrustful and smart on his feet. His uncles military background meant he was trained in some soldiers habits, so when the time came for him to leave home and find a job, fitting into the Elite training wasn't so bad.

Talent (that got them recruited): He has a labyrinth of a mind that can recall any specific detail. His keen skills of observation and his memory are like nothing anyone has seen and could be priceless on a battlefield. However, he finds that he can't handle it for too long before he starts to become a 'deadbeat' and likes to dull his senses with alcohol. If he remains in a state of high function for too long, he tips a little over the edge; his usual calm strategy melting into ruthless slaughter tactics.

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients (aka be on the Elite team):
Markus quirks an eyebrow in a nonchalant manner, "Something to do I guess? Besides, my uncle swears it was one of those things that killed his sister- my mother- so I suppose it's for revenge and all that."

    3 Interesting Tidbits:
    - He really loves cats. Not the weird half cat like humanoid freaks the government made, but a good ol' kitty cat.
    - He actually has a talent for singing, though you wouldn't get him to sing in front of anyone unless he'll froze over.

    - He has an odd inability to handle women when they cry. Like seriously, he freezes up and says exactly the wrong thing.

Theme Song: *see below for link*

  4. Eden Marcelo De Santos

    24 | Male | Pisces | Columbian/African-American | Homosexual/romantic | They/Them - He/Him

    Appearance:
    1504135268330-Tre-samuels-mystify-me-14.jpeg

Personality: Eden is very much the loner type, though he interacts well with others he prefers to be by himself when not doing missions and training exercises. He enjoys the peace and quite of his own company. In a work setting he can be very blunt and outspoken, not afraid to call someone's bullshit and is very excepting of criticism. Downside to Edens personality is his quick temper, and barbed tongue. He can get exceptionally rude and verbally abusive when in a fit of rage. He also at times goes ahead of the others in a mission, sometimes ignoring plans and even rules set up before hand. When alcohol or weed is in his system he tends to mellow out and becomes way more friendly, just dont ask him about his mother or Eden will become an emotional wreck.

History: He grew up in New York, Harlem to be exact. His mother had a hard time keeping work so they were very poor. Eden had it rough, getting into fights constantly and learning how to steal at a very young age. When they struggled to get the rent his mom would sometimes sell herself to make quick cash. Evidently she got hooked on the drugs she used to numb herself during the meet-ups and eventually dying of an overdose. Eden was about 8 when he found her in their small apartment's bathtub. From then on he was raised by his mother's sister and her husband. To help relieve some of Eden's pint up anger his policemen, ex-marine uncle taught him how to fight properly. Eden ended up being so good at it they even enrolled him in Judo, Brazilian Jujitsu and Kick Boxing classes. His excellent com at skills got him noticed by the Elite recruits.

Talent: Eden is excellent at Hand-to-Hand combat and a great slight-of-hand he can steal just about anything.

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients: Growing up the way he did with his personality Eden knew he wouldn't make it in a regular work environment. It's also nice because he can fight whenever he wants.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:
-Eden can speak four languages (English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese) and knows ASL
-He had been violently assaulted in the past, this created a lingering fear of him being touched. Unless you are someone very close to him he hates people touching him, surprising him and being in his personal space. In fact that is the quickest way to get him angry.
    - Eden owns a collection of pocket knives

Theme Song: (will update at later date)

    Raeshad Atticus-Ubel Blanchard III

    28 | Male | Virgo | Hatian | Demisexual/romantic | He/Him

    Appearance:
    tumblr_nj91cocnV71sany5xo3_r1_640.jpg

Personality: Rae is a man of few words. He's a polite guy but doesn't speak often. Not that he cant or has a problem doing so he just doesn't find the need to talk unless it's important. Sometimes with his limited speech and muted facial expressions it's hard to read him, so people are quick to assume but that doesn't bother Rae, he is quiet sure of himself in character and as a person. He is only super serious at work. Outside of that Rae is an incredibly pleasant guy to be around despite his attitude on verbal communication. He's helpful, a great listener and is the best at keeping his cool in extreme situations. In fact he's very hard to rile up in any form, his nickname at home is the slow bull. An oddly affectionate name because though he is terribly strong, it takes a lot to make Rae use his strength out of anger. Rae is good at excepting people and helping when they reach out but it's difficult for him to do that in return.

History: Rae grew up in the south of Haiti on a small farm with his father and mother. At some point in his younger age his family had to sell their land because they couldn't afford the upkeep. The proprietor allowed them to still live on the land and farm their goods for him, but then they were heavily taxed and abused by the man. When he was 6 his mother died giving birth to his little sister who also died with her due to underdeveloped lungs. From that point his father was severely depressed and drank a lot. So much so that he became unable to function without it. So heavily dependent Rae's father didnt pay much attention to his son anymore which allowed the land owner to take control of an abuse Rae for years after. Rae's father died when he was 10. Thankfully a year later, a strange albeit wealthy family who knew the man that bought his home, adopted Rae on behalf of their youngest child. Rae adopted sister Kelsey and now closes living relative. They then grew up together learning at expensive schools and doing intense hobbies. Rea's adoptive father noticed how unnaturally strong Rae was and decided to cultivate his ability to send him off to the Elites. All of Rae's older siblings had very high paying well of jobs, it was expected that their family be well connected and prioritized in society.

    Talent: Incredible Strength and endurance

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients: Rae's adoptive father decided he would join the Elites and that was the end of it. Luckily Rae doesnt dislike his job, he feels as if he's making a difference somehow.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:
-Rae loves to Garden! When they're not on missions he tends to his flower and vegetable garden at home. His favorite things to grow are flowers and veggies he grew up seeing in Haiti.
-Rae also knows ASL and prefers to use that when talking with other people, if they know it
-He really likes hugs and affection from other people platonic or romantic. He doesnt mind giving a hug, or high five whenever asked.

Theme Song: (will update at later date)

  5. Name: James "FEAR" McTavish

    Age (20s on up): 30

    Gender: Male

    Appearance:

    Orientation: Straight

Personality: Detached and focused. Functions as a human being in most situations, but his eyes don't seem to fully engage. Harbors a cold rage in his heart and unquenchable thirst for revenge. Long, slow, and painful revenge.

Bio: Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Both parents in the medical field, focusing on by psychotherapy and pharmacology. James was raised to be intelligent and a thinker, so his rebellion was to join the military. Working through the Army and eventually the Rangers he was picked up by the CIA for "creative application of intelligence gathering techniques".

Working through various "black sites" James acquired a talent for interrogation. This speciality was desired by the organization who recruited him directly when he was 25.

James was part of an early mission to raid a den. The mission was botched most of the team was killed in the ensuing engagement. James was captured and MIA for two years. He was transported back and forth in enemy hands being subjected to multiple forms of torture. Including being forced to subject other prisoners to what he had been subjected to. At some point during this torture period his wife went missing from protective custody and in debriefing confirmed her death.

Rescued in a massive sting operation by the organization and was found nearly dead. James has spent the past two and a half years in recovery, therapy, and psychotherapy. An experimental treatment method lead to him adopting the persona "FEAR" to help him combat his near constant nightmares.

Six months ago he rejoined active duty but has taken a very active role in interrogation.

Talent (that got them recruited): Interrogation.

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients (aka be on the Elite team): Revenge.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:

-Scarred body from military service and two years of near constant physical and psychological torture. Lacerations and burn marks scarred his face. Many large scars have ragged stitching, sewn incorrectly on purpose.

-Has a permanent set of "racoons eyes", deep black and purple around his eyes. Rarely leaves the compound outside of operations.

-Wears a charm on his dog tags of a bright green and smiling cartoon clover, changes subject with "thousand yard stare" when asked about it. Believed to have been a belonging of Samantha Alders, James' wife.

-He often mumbles in his limited sleep and times of incoherence. Mumbles his wife's name and the phrase "give it back" has been shouted among other things.

    Theme Song: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6f3j4okhb8o

    * NOTE FROM FILE: Extreme Caution, should not be left alone with prisoners under any circumstances. *

  6. Name: Sgt. Percival "Val" Romero [Ret.]

    Age: 42

    Gender: Male

    Appearance:
    tumblr_og6ud64WTb1qbo18do1_r1_1280.jpg
Val is middle-aged, strong, and handsome. Except his permanent expression is stuck at someone-died stoicism. He is broad and heavy with muscle weight; clearly working out often. Just go ahead and try getting a read off of him. His dark eyes are impenetrable.

    Orientation: Workaholic

Personality: Val prides professionalism above all else-- people call him cold for it. The ex-Sargeant does not give a damn of what people think of him, as long as they don't think him incompetent. He is a born and bred leader with lots of experience dealing with crises and chaos. Tragedy doesn't seem to phase him. Val, for all he doesn't like to joke or smile, is not ill-tempered. When bonded with his team or subordinates, Val is a fierce protector, willing to take any risk, any consequence to make sure his people make it home safe.

    Bio: Good luck learning it.

In records, Val has the typical life of a man who enlisted in the army at 17. No family to speak of, only a great-aunt who was happy to get the serious then-teenager out of her life No disciplinary action in school, that started in the army. Even those marks on his records aren't true black marks; the army has to punish him on principle... even if he gets the results they want. Val's competence and-- frankly-- irreplaceable skill as a Sargent allowed him to go a lot further than most people were expecting.

The six months of forced retirement almost killed him. It was part of the deal to get him into the security firm, but damn! It was cruel. Val does not look back on his army days with any regrets or longing. He's ready for the next stage of his career, secretively eager to learn more.

Talent (that got them recruited): While Val has had the typical training any Sargeat receives in the army, his cutting edge is bulletproof composure when things go FUBAR. He is comfortable around most weapons and a few forms of hand to hand combat. His capability to lead and keep others calm in a crisis is why he came highly recommended for the program.

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients (aka be on the Elite team): Val isn't married to the idea but it's the best option given to him once he was forced into retirement. He has no regrets about the circumstance-- no residual anger about it, either. He knows how the brass has to operate. He did what he had to do.

    3 Interesting Tidbits:
    - Absolutely no one may call him by his given name. Val. That's it. Not 'Percival', no 'Mr. Romero', never 'Percy'. Maybe Sargeant-- none of that 'Sarge' shit-- if it's one of his soldiers. If none of that is possible, he'll answer to "sir."
    - He does talk, even though people like to think he doesn't speak much. But if you pay attention, you realize that while Val will hold conversations with people, he does not share personal information.
    - Just his presence can be calming. It's... odd. Useful, but... yeah, it's odd.

Theme Song:

@Pyxie What did you have in mind? As in, is your Sentient wanting to hunt the others? Or are they infiltrating the firm on Sentients' behalf?

@MindLabryinth Love your character. :) but for some reason can't seem to have those appearance pics load. Maybe a glitch on my end but yep. I can't seem em lol

I'll try and fix that, it's hard to do it on mobile but my computer is getting repairs :(

Essentially it was a tall male with scruffy black hair and a five'o'clock shadow. He wears a trench coat over jeans and a white button up. He has warm brown eyes and a charming smile.

Heya, this looks really rad! I was wondering, though, were people recruited for the program internationally or if it was just confined to whatever country the story takes place? I'm thinking of making a Russian character but wanted to know if there would be any way for him to be recruited. Thanks for letting me know!

I think I will join this!

Name: Danielle Finch

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Appearance:

cb5e7313d6bf43f0e7fa6572ea23976b.jpg

Orientation: Homosexual

Personality:
While mature for her age, it's sometimes hard for Danielle to conceal the fact that less than three years ago, she was still kicking ass at her high school's girls wrestling team. Merely layered over with harsh field training and her two confirmed kills, her immaturity has a tendency to fall through the cracks and expose itself, especially in times of great stress. Besides that, she's retained her youthful congeniality, and regardless of the people around her, Danielle enjoys making connections with whatever impromptu "team" she's found herself on.

Bio:
Joining the police academy right out of high school, Danielle struggled with just about every skillset outside of her physical training. But it was in those areas that she caught the attention of her superiors, and even then, not for any positive reasons. Showing off during firearms training by doing one-armed handstands and doing somersaults around her self-defense instructor got her in more trouble than many people thought she was worth, but otherwise, her nigh-superhuman gymnastic abilities evinced great potential. Enough that eventually, she was being scouted by people outside of local law enforcement.

After (barely) passing a psych test, Danielle was pulled out of the academy and given the chance to join a secretive branch of U.S. Military, specializing in the assassination of foreign enemies. After being given a full year of field training, she and a specialized team underwent seven assassination ops, and thirteen Intel-gathering missions, before she was volun-told for service with Sentient Security.

Talent:
Prodigious Gymnastic Ability, Contortionism

Why They Want to Hunt Sentients:
In truth, Danielle doesn't want to be involved with such high-stakes operations. Though she was submitted for consideration against her will, she sees private security as a step closer to what she initially wanted to do, which was to be a normal police officer.

3 Interesting Tidbits:

  • Rather than shorten "Danielle," she'd rather be addressed by her last name.
  • Danielle is only 5'2", despite coming from a predominantly tall family.
  • Even wearing boots, Danielle can triple kick!

Will we have to use face claims of real-life folk?

28 | Male | Virgo | Hatian | Demisexual/Heteromantic | He/Him

Appearance:
tumblr_nj91cocnV71sany5xo3_r1_640.jpg

@MindLabryinth No worries. I'm all too familiar with working from a phone! It's tedious. Thank you for the description. :)

@raebil Definitely international. I imagine the crisis was birthed in the USA, but ya know how those deemed criminals like to flee the country lol. As such, I'm sure there are outreachs in other countries, but the main hub is located in the USA. Perhaps your person was involved in some way with a Russian case and had been approached to recieve official training in the USA?

@CasualAdventurer Love! Absolutely love. She is great.

@Pyxie While it is preferred, I won't limit your creative juices. If you have like, a manga face claim, go for it. :)

@onetrueBirdy Eden and Rae are amazing!

Actually... I'm sorry to say but while your RP is interesting I think I should focus on my RP. I dunno why people aren't interested so I need to find out why and take steps to gain more interest in it.

But good luck! Your idea is fascinating. :-)

Since Pyxie's opted out, I'm wondering about the idea of a character being a Sentient. Maybe a rare case, one of the scientists experimenting on themselves to the point that they maintain some humanity.

I wouldn't wanna make a character with full-on superpowers, so if that's what it would entail, I'll probably just make another basic human.

@CasualAdventurer Doesn't have to be full on craziness, but definitely significant enough that the only explanation would be that this scientist experimented on themself. Definitely okay with this! But, for plot purposes, the Sentient bit would probably be kept under wraps and... Would have to ask you why they would be hunting their fellow Sentients. :)

Do think this would work if you'd like to create another character.
