I'm using the spaces below to capture all my stray roleplay thoughts. What could be in the future and random ideas that come to mind.

Work in progress brainstorming/world-building post for an upcoming Open Roleplay - Pokemon: The Great Escape! No spice in this roleplay, just all things fuzzy and nice.

Violet Shadowheart

  1. A goofy and cheerful Gengar
  2. Overly competitive Arcanine
  3. Serene Snorlax
  4. Diva Blaziken
  5. Absolutely bonkers Mankey
  6. Michevious Dragonite
Violet's backstory:
Violet was an ultra competitive trainer in the Pokemon League. She held a chip on her shoulder from early training days when many of the trainers counted her out and made fun of how weak her Ghastly was. In response, Violet trained relentlessly with singular focus. Eventually she went on a continuous rampage, blazing through the Sinarus Region and capturing all eight badges.

But just before she challenged the elite four, she realized that she was pushing her Pokemon too hard. Having lost the original bond and care for them that she had felt in the beginning when she caught her first Pokemon Ghastly.

Exhausted from constantly battling, her Haunter refused to listen. Straying away from Violet where it evolved to Gengar when Nurse Joy took Haunter in at a nearby Pokemon Center. Violet became incredibly sad and lonely without Haunter, sulking about in the CherryOak forest for hours at a time.

When Violet felt an unbearable level of guilt and shame, Gengar returned to her, encouraging all of Violet's other Pokemon that she had indeed learned a lesson. There was more to life than just battling! Her mission renewed, Violet set out to build a new life, one that prioritized the simple moments over raw achievement.

Just a random character thought that could turn into a roleplay later.

Perhaps an alternate take on the Star Wars universe with the slight twist of a female antagonist. Might be cool to relive the surprise of episode 4 where Vader was more of a mystery. Also comical if due to their terror many thought Vader was a man, only to find out she's a woman.

I have my moods, I'm feeling the boss bitch I run shit vibe in my imagination lately.

A Borderlands inspired roleplay would definitely be fun. No spice, just lots of action and drama. The psychotic characters and the nature of the humor from the original games is a lot of fun.

I'm imagining the sniper character to be loosely based off of Zero who I adored in terms of play style. Lethal blade up close, headshot from distance. I think special ability will be slowing time to aid herself and the squad.

A female Rorshach inspired character (Watchmen fandom). An antihero paired against a traditional hero with a traditional sense of justice. I'd really like to delve into the psychology of my anti hero character. The trauma they've experienced and how it led them to a sense of vigilante justice and uncontrolled retribution.

Also super cool inspiration from the show of inspiring swathes of vigilantes in her wake. The grittiness and psychological complexities of such a character are definitely appealing.

The idea is coming to me for her alter ego persona - the one displayed to society and the origin of the anti hero nickname.

Character concept for a dominant sorceress has been stuck in my head lately. A villain inspired by the many Disney tropes of evil sorceresses, witches and the like. Also equally inspired by Melisandre.

I imagine this character to be a soul stealer of sorts. Tricking victims into signing contracts and giving away pieces of their life energy until nothing is left. She has ambition of gathering an incredible amount of power and bringing kingdoms and their judgmental folk who shunned her to their knees.

I'm not really one to leverage brute force even when the villain I'm playing is very powerful. Cunning, deceit, manipulation, and seduction are choice weapons. The power is just icing on the cake and sometimes fun to toy with.

Haven't fleshed diner story details out, but idea has definitely been tinkering about in my brain.

I've tinkered with this idea several times in my head, but eventually will get around to Dr. Doom themed roleplay. Bit of an alternate universe take. I don't care for staying true to the Marvel Universe as it is. I'm thinking the roleplay will focus on a female version of Dr. Doom - the origin story and rise to power. There'll be a focus on cybernetics and engineering in addition to the typical dark magic Doom possesses.

I've come up with this idea in a previous roleplay, but the RP can have room for multiple partners. A partner can play a hero or adversary in linear fashion and when their arc ends or they're done with the roleplay, I can reach out to the next partner in line. I think this is a good solution for keeping a story line alive over a longer period of time.
