Hello! So normally I'm pretty high octane and like to do some blabbing and plotting with people, enough blabbing and plotting that people who are mainly interested in writing smut lose interest (sorry to those fellas). But this time I'm looking for something simpler and shorter term (unless we start building something really cool up and you want to write for longer). That is...I am just looking for a "difficult" character, of any archetype. And whatever setting or genre you wanna do is good with me. Romance is not required, though I like it. Happy to do an enemies/rivals/nemesis thing too.
This interest in difficult characters is mostly because I have some I enjoyed writing in a humorous context, but I noticed that a lot of people who weren't prepared for a difficult character seemed to have a hard time writing across from them. I get that. It can be hard to figure out how your character will react to rudeness, negativity, contrarian behavior, violence, etc. if you don't know how to deal with that in real life, right? So right now I'd like to play across from a couple types of difficult characters to see what it's like from the other side, since unfortunately I haven't run into many of them organically! If you have a good understanding of dynamics with these types of personalities, I'd be happy to talk about it with you if you're down. I'm wondering if there are considerate and fun ways to play a difficult character besides, "communicate clearly OOC."
To give you a little insight into me: my favorite difficult character to write was somebody who I deliberately made out to be "wrong" most of the time, but not all of the time. So he would often do rude things in the name of causing problems, and then I would "make him lose" as appropriate for both humor's sake and to balance the power dynamic between him and my partner's character. I found this pretty entertaining and even wholesome with the right partner. But of course, you can write whatever kind of difficult character you like.
Also, if you generally like to write across from a difficult character, I'd be interested to hear your take on playing across from one and what you think works well for either role.
If you're interested, send me a message and maybe we can work something out. Let me know what kinds of characters you think would work well with yours if you have some idea already, or what setting you're interested in if you don't have ideas yet. I will warn you right away that I:

- have minimal experience/interest in writing smut though I'm down to try if we have a low smut ratio overall
- tend to avoid tropes such as dom/sub, unless they can be subverted
- have a direct and upfront personality so I generally prefer good, confident communicators
- won't write actual abuse (though strange, borderline behavior is on the table)
- prefer to write with people 25+ in age
- can respond once a week, maybe more often if posts are a bit on the shorter side, but I am definitely available for OOC chatter throughout the week
- have dynamic post lengths depending on situation
