Zephira is an intelligent, quick-witted, clever woman. She often uses her charm and appearance to get what she wants and/or needs, however she isn't very vain and is actually extremely insecure. A tragic childhood has resulted in teams of unresolved trauma surrounding abandonment issues, guilt, body-image, and much, much more. This has caused her to have a habit of getting into toxic, abusive relationships even though she is quite self-resilient. She will remain in these relationships until they are finihed toying with her; at which point, she is left broken, depressed, and alone. Zephira's biggest fear is to live eternity alone. As a vampire, her immortality is one of the things that gives her the most anxiety. She knows that she will likely live for a very, very long time. Forever - as long as a stronger vampire or someone with a stake doesn't come along and ruin it.
Zephira's hobbies include keeping various species of bat as pets - great fruit-eating bats, big brown bats, mexican free-tailed bats, pallid bats, spotted bats, and of course - vampire bats. She takes great joy in caring for them, loving each and every one like her own child.

From the time she was seven years old, Zephira was involved in a tragic accident which left her an orphan. For the story of what happened to her parents, click the following spoiler. If not, skip ahead. While her parents were asleep in the other room, she had decided to surprise them with breakfast. Planning on making eggs, she did what she'd always seen her mother do and grabbed a large bottle of cooking oil which was overhead. When grabbing it, she fumbled and spilled the oil all over the electirc stove eye, which was ablaze with blue flames. The fire started immediately, and as the oil spread out, it only seemed to get bigger and bigger. Not knowing any better, young Zephira reached for a glass of water and poured it onto the eye, which only caused the oil to spread, running down into the crevice between the stove and the counters on each side. Screaming, she tried her best to wake her parents but they'd both worked very late the previous night and after a few drinks and popping a few pills, they were out cold. Afraid for her life, Zephira ran out of their home to escape the flames - her mother and father still inside. They were both burned alive by the fire, as was their family home.
After the accident, Zephira was left to survive on her own for two full weeks until she was eventually found by a person who surrendered her to the foster-care system. With her troubled past, she bounced between homes like a basketball off rubber walls until the third time she escaped, at which point she managed to stay out of government custody and left to fend for herself. In order to make money, she taught herself ways to make money and was forced to do many things just to keep herself alive. Among her previous gigs are; pickpocketing in busy streets, begging, then stealing small trinkets from thrift shops and reselling them. Once she turned eighteen and felt confident doing it, she delved into prostitution where she only did oral sex and handjobs; determined to keep her virginity for someone she 'loved', larger thefts where she would meet people; get them to like her; go into their house and steal something of value, and eventually she would move onto stealing and reselling cars. That's what she was doing when one day, someone who was buying a stolen car from her somehow managed to lure her into a secluded alleyway in the middle of the night. In no less than a minute, she woman had her wrapped up in her arms with two hungry fangs buried into the side of her neck. That was when Zephira's entire life changed, and she became a vampire.
Upon becoming a vampire, she gained several abilities which only allowed her to excel at her schemes - now without the fear of dying. She met new people, and went onto larger targets - large businesses and corporations, the Black Market, and perhaps the biggest - banks. Once upon a time Zephira was a killing, robbing machine whose entire life had almost melded her, so she'd slot perfectly into the job with some added bonuses thanks to vampirism. However, during her most recent relationship, she began to notice that she was getting more prone to fits of rage where she would go overboard and get messy. The thought of a lifetime in prison when a lifetime for her could mean forever put her off of robbing for good. However, she does help clean the money which is something she'd observed in the past and is now quite skilled at.
She currently lives in a run-down one-bedroom apartment in the slums with her boyfriend of two-years, Jean.
