Personality: A visible bundle of nerves. Jack is known to ramble and be generally socially awkward; he's lonely, and will cling to anyone who pays attention. He's got good intentions, though his execution is usually poor when it comes to actually following this up. Loves to be the centre of attention and gets extremely enthusiastic when someone brings up something he's interested in. Desperately wants to have his name up in lights and will do anything to get there when it comes down to the crunch, even if he'd feel guilty afterwards. Has a selfish and immature streak. Terrible self-esteem but very open-minded and good at comforting others.

* Creating illusions; if he improves enough they can be physically touched too.
* Generic Magic; his eyes and fingertips can glow bright purple. Can also use a blast of it to create a weak physical barrier/pushback.

Name: Joseph Sebastian "Sab" Nash
Nicknames: Joey (only from his family), Sab (preferred name and the one he mainly uses)
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: 25
Appearance: 5ft 6". Stocky, with shaggy, shoulder-length black hair and deep brown eyes. Never clean-shaven, and his facial hair tends to go between stubble to a soul patch and most things in between. Covered in tattoos up his arms and down his back. Usually wearing rock/metal band shirts with dark jeans and work boots; definitely owns a battle jacket.
Personality: Sab comes across at first sight as someone's who's extroverted and laid-back, though perhaps a bad influence. He's the type to not judge by first appearance, and is open-minded to most things considering what he himself is like. Sab is hypersexual and always on the prowl, although he doesn't have great luck with women. Deep down, Sab struggles with himself- he has a deep self-loathing that he tempers with booze, drugs and sex.
Occupation(s): Licenced contractor. Has a handle on most handiwork. Moonlights as a bartender because it allows him to get drunk on the job. Occasionally deals drugs (mainly weed but also worse).
Sexuality/relationships: Straight, mostly // SINGLE + OPEN
Skills/Abilities: Great with fixing things up. Can really hold his drink and is a mostly functioning addict.

Name: Solomon Andrew Taylor
Nicknames: Sol (preferred name), Sir/Mr. Taylor at work, which is why he prefers to avoid those formalities outside of it unless someone's younger than him. Or he just doesn't like them.
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/Him (he doesn't quite understand or care about the whole pronouns thing)
Age: Can be played from early 20s to 44 (current day)
Appearance: 5ft 11", tall and lean. Short black hair (a little greying at the temples), hazel eyes. Not much visible muscle, but very much a coiled spring. Sol is clean-shaven and well-groomed, barely ever seen in public without a suit and tie. Ramrod straight posture; holds himself with total confidence.
Personality: Cold and cynical, Sol has no patience for fools - or anyone, for that matter. He doesn't talk a lot about his past relationship; he's got an eighteen year old daughter and will openly admit that he's divorced, but that's about it. Sol has a huge reserve of charm that he can draw from when he wants something from someone, and very much enjoys the rush of scamming people or playing Devil's Advocate. Nevertheless, he's generally an angry and patronising misanthrope - unless, of course, you're one of the rare people that gets to see his real self.
Sexuality/relationships: Divorced. Heterosexual but very much not looking for relationships and if you bring it up he'll get either awkward or aggressive. A lot of trauma surrounds this side of his life. // SINGLE + MAYBE OPEN (ask)
Skills/Abilities: Charming and charismatic. Actually a damn good pickpocket. Great knowledge of psychology and has a doctorate in it. A very high pain tolerance.
Other Brief Notes:
Works as a psych teacher - formerly at a high school but is now working as a lecturer in present day.
Has definitely run scams before - yes, this includes those catfishing scams which admittedly make even him uncomfortable (but if there's money involved, he'll do it).
Triggers tend to be the sound of high heels on hard floors, and the smell of strong floral perfume.
Ambidextrous, was primarily left-handed before his shoulder got injured and it healed badly, leaving him with constant pain in his left arm.
