I'm a bit of a romance fan stemming from stressful situations... where by couples are placed or thrown together via disasters, espionage, corporate tattle tale, futuristic ethical type issues, etc.

I prefer a bit longer reply and often will do while not moving the story forward such that my partner is left behind in their reply.

I prefer, as the title suggests, slice of life, with a twist. Either technological, moral... Regarding moral, not the typical cheating but lets say just because we can, doesn't mean we should. (see an idea below).

I can reply once a week due to the typical job requirements, activities, blah blah. Plus I find it beneficial to ruminate over my partners reply consciously and subconsciously as well. To put it bluntly, open to anything but the poop, pee, death and unwanted violence against women areas. Violence is too strong a word but you get the gist.

The idea is the Gov't, U.S. of course, who else... has a classified program whereby they use the homeless, with promise of payment, which never comes, to groom into next gen fighters. The facility would be located in a remote part of the country and teams of 'collectors' scour big cities for candidates they deem 'appropriate' for the program. This program utilizes, drugs and in some cases embedded tech to make them super human if you will in terms of vision or hearing or strength and they're trained for missions. Only in the story, the war is secondary, tertiary even. This would more center on the characters, moral dilemma, eventual mutual attraction and love, escaping the program, etc. I feel this could go many different ways with the male \ female characters being what society would suggest, namely the male being the doc, the woman homeless but vice versa would be especially intriguing as well. They say homelessness is just a few bad decisions away for many and that could be the case here as well. It offers the ability for each partner to play some additional roles briefly as well.

I'm in no way set on the narrative above and would love some back and forth of grooming this idea or others come to mind.

Happy Writing...
