Hi everyone! 21+F writer here. I’ve been craving a snowed-in plot with our older, divorced characters who have not seen each other since their messy split, until the day they get stuck together in an isolated cabin in the mountains. Storm’s raging. Rescue won’t be coming for a few days. Phones are dead. Maybe a ski trip or a winter getaway gone wrong? Something else? Sharing body heat only for it to escalate into more, arguing like they’re still married because he just brings out the worst in her and she does in him—just two awful individuals who are genuinely so wrong for each other.
The only plot twist I would LOVE is if it was the husband (your darling character) behind it all! Maybe he’d been keeping tabs on her; what she does, where she goes, who she spends her time with. Gasp! Maybe he was the one that arranged the whole thing? I NEED the toxicity, obsession, and unresolved tension!
Dark themes are more than welcome (limits and triggers can be discussed in private).
I write advanced literate to novella level (though my length does vary depending on the scene and the vibe), so if you’re semi-lit or stick to one liners, please don’t interact.
