1772736779543.png Name: Nova ‘Sparx’

Species: Human
Hair & Eyes: Nova has long blonde hair. She has bright blue eyes that fade and take on gold flecking that looks like sparks when exposed to bright light. Interestingly, her vision seems to be heightened in low light visibility.
Height & Body Type: Nova stands at about 5’7” with an athletic build.
Other Physical Characteristics: Nova was seriously injured in combat, leading to the loss of her left arm from the shoulder down and some visual impairments. Her current left arm is cybernetically enhanced, and she often wears googles or glasses to help with her visual impairments.

Background: Nova is unaware of what her exact origins were, only that she has lived her entire life on Coruscant. Her earliest memories were of the Jedi Temple and that was where she was educated, and she began her training as an initiate. However, her connection to the force was limited and she was prone to outbursts of emotions, so she never even made it to the level of padawan and instead was passed on to the Jedi Medical Corps for further training and education.

She trained with the Medical Corps under the tutelage of Jedi Master Stass Allie and she excelled at her craft. She was educated as a doctor, while taught to use the force to enhance her medical skills. By the beginning of the Clone Wars (22 BBY), Nova was 19 and serving as a Junior Doctor at the Jedi Temple Medical Bay. Within 6 months of the war having begun, she volunteered to be a Clone Regiment Medical Officer, as clone medical officer numbers were proving to be inadequate to keep up with the numbers of casualties sustained.

She served at a Casualty Clearing Station for some time, always demanding to work as close to the front as possible. During this time her CCS came under a heavy barrage, and she was injured, having to be cleared out herself. She spent 6 months recovering on Coruscant before being cleared for duty once again. She’s returned to her Clone Unit (the 91st MRC) and she continues to work as close to the front as possible. Due to the ‘sparking’ effect of her impaired eyes, the troopers of her Regiment have affectionately nicknamed her ‘Sparx’.

Personality: Nova has always been a curious, adventurous person. She struggled with classroom work, preferring to be outside doing more practical training. Having grown up around the Jedi Temple she grew to value honour and integrity as core foundations to being righteous. She’s kind and generous, but she can also be confrontational and demanding. Like many serving with the Jedi, the longer the Clone Wars went on, the more she became disillusioned with the direction the Jedi were headed. Despite these reservations, she remained loyal to the order till the end.

Skills: Nova is a trained medical doctor, specializing in combat injuries and trauma. She’s also trained in the use of computer systems and can drive and/or pilot various vessels with passable skill. She has basic knowledge on psychology and pharmaceuticals.

Combat: Having served as a Military Medical Officer, Nova has undergone basic military/combat training. She has basic training in a variety of personal weapon systems. She’s also gone through the Military/Combat Officer Training Program.

Talents: Nova is Force-Sensitive. She is quite skilled at using the force for medical purposes (including to promote calming and soothing effects), but she otherwise struggles with control, likely due to a slight case of bipolar disorder and an inability to focus her mind. Nova is also a very talented singer.

Equipment: Nova usually wears the standard while Medical Corps jumpsuit while in the field. When she need to move towards the combat line, plastoid armoured plates were affixed to the standard jump suit, offering some protection against blaster fire and shrapnel. She also always has a standard Doctor’s Medical kit with her. Due to her visual impairment, she often wears dark sunglasses or goggles that display real time data from medical sensors on the lenses. Nova’s cybernetic arm contains medical sensors as well as a bio-scan device. Nova has never been known for carrying a blaster sidearm, though she is trained in their use.

Chapter 1 (Setup-WIP)

The Outer Rim Sieges was the final campaign of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, being fought in 19 BBY, the third and final year of the conflict. The campaign occurred when the Confederacy was pushed back to the spiral arms of the galaxy. Although there was a stalemate for a time, the sieges ended up turning the tide of the war in the Republic's favor, making the Confederacy fear they would lose the Clone Wars.

Siege of Saleucami: During the Outer Rim Sieges, fighting broke out between the Republic and the Separatists on Saleucami when Republic Intelligence feared it was being used to hide Separatist secrets, with possibilities including a Separatist clone-soldier program, superweapon development, and work in the field of biological warfare with engineered plagues. The Confederacy's campaign to defend Saleucami was one of the longest of the sieges. Jedi General Oppo Rancisis, Jedi General Quinlan Vos and his troops, Jedi General Stass Allie, and her 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps besieged the planet. Eventually, the Republic was able to defeat the Separatist forces, capturing the planet for the Republic. Once Saleucami had fallen, Vos moved his forces to Boz Pity, leaving Stass Allie and the 91st MRC to mop up the remains of the droid army.

Order 66: While patrolling Saleucami’s swamplands on speeder bikes with Jedi Master Stass Allie, Clone Commander Neyo received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. This caused his genetically implanted behavioral modification biochip to activate, forcing him and his wingman to open fire on Allie, killing her. Following the siege, even after the war itself had finished, the 91st MRC remained on Saleucami instead of pulling out, enforcing the control of the newly-established Galactic Empire.

1773247694744.png The 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps (91st MRC), also identified as the 91st Expeditionary Corps was a corps in the Grand Army of the Republic, and as such consisted of 36,864 troopers divided into sixteen regiments. It contained Lightning Squadron, a specialized armored cavalry squadron of Advanced Recon Force Scout Troopers. The 91st's clone troopers also consisted of Biker Advanced Recon Commandos as well as standard troopers, clone sharpshooters, clone trooper officers, and heavy weapons clone troopers. The 91st MRC was initially under the leadership of Jedi General Adi Gallia, though Master of the Order General Mace Windu led at least parts of it during the Battle of Ryloth. During the Siege of Saleucami, the 91st was temporarily placed under the command of Council member Jedi General Oppo Rancisis, and once the siege was finished, Jedi General Stass Allie took command of the 91st to clear out any pockets of resistance. The 91st's commanding clone officer was Clone Marshal Commander Neyo, who was placed in command following his promotion earlier in the Clone Wars.

The Jedi Service Corps was an organization formed during the days of the Old Republic Era as an alternative to serving in the more traditional capacity of the Jedi Knights. It was run by the Jedi Order, though most of its members were non-jedi, or students who had failed to pass their Initiate Trials and therefore could not proceed in training at the Jedi academy.

The Service Corps was considered an honorable alternative to serving in the mainstream Order. The Corps was made up of four branches: the Agricultural Corps, the Medical Corps, the Educational Corps, and the Exploration Corps. Membership in each was voluntary and many ranking members of the Order joined, but if an Initiate had failed the Trials, the Council took care of assigning them based on different skills and requirements.

Serving the Galactic Republic in different ways than a Knight would, the Service Corps members were no less important in the Order and helped countless star systems throughout its history.

1-The Agricultural Corps, or AgriCorps, was one of the four branches of the Service Corps of the Jedi Order. The largest part of the Service Corps, this organization was formed so that those Jedi Initiates who had failed to pass their Trials could use their connection to the Force for the betterment of galactic society.

Made up largely of Jedi who had failed to complete their training at the Jedi academy, as well as those Jedi who had not been chosen as an apprentice by the age of thirteen, membership in the AgriCorps was completely voluntary. Working in conjunction with the Republic Agricultural Administration to provide healthy crops to those under-privileged star systems suffering from natural disasters or blight, the AgriCorps also attracted ranking members of the Order who wished to take a more hands on approach to helping the common people of the galaxy.

2-The Educational Corps, also known as the EduCorps, was a branch of the Jedi Service Corps that was made up of teachers, scholars, and archivists. Made up of ranking and non-ranking members of the Jedi Order, it was the smallest branch of the Service Corps next to the Medical Corps.

Members of the EduCorps were assigned this work by the Council if they had failed to pass the Trials at the Jedi academy. Additionally, ranking members of the Order could also join the EduCorps; Lore Keepers who wished to remain in the Jedi Archives would sometimes join this group of scholars. The Educational Corps instructed its recruits in the ways of imparting knowledge, taught them not only to be effective instructors but also to show patience and compassion for their pupils. Above all, they needed to understand that one could not always rely on the Force to reach one's goal. The EduCorps provided instruction to the disadvantaged on countless worlds across the galaxy.

3-The Jedi Exploration Corps, or ExplorCorps, was an archaeological and research branch of the Jedi Service Corps maintained by the Jedi Order. Originally founded to survey and chart the myriad stars and planets in the galaxy, the ExplorCorps was made up of Jedi Seekers who used their skills in navigation, surveying, and survival to achieve this goal. Made up of a small fleet of second-hand survey vessels, the Seekers of the ExplorCorps set out to map the galaxy. With bases on nearly every Ordnance/Regional Depot throughout the galaxy, the ExplorCorps had a long history of uncovering ancient civilizations and finding new ones.

The ExplorCorps maintained a fleet of scout, survey, and transport ships that were spread across the galaxy, from which it organized many system and planetary mapping efforts, archaeological expeditions, and other missions of discovery.

4-The Medical Corps (or MedCorps) was one of the four branches of the Service Corps of the Jedi Order. Along with the Educational Corps, the MedCorps was one of the smallest parts of the larger Service Corps due to the already widespread teaching of the healing arts.

Life in the MedCorps teaches recruits that the life is fragile, and they quickly learn that people can become sick and die for no reason other than the will of the Force. For some, this can be hard to fathom but internalizing it provides a valuable lesson for those who have had difficulty dealing with a personal loss early in life. Members of the MedCorps can be found at medical facilities throughout the galaxy, bestowing relief in times of crisis or instructing none-Force-using personnel in new methods to care for their patients. Membership within the MedCorps included those Jedi who did not pass the Trials given to Initiates and were no longer eligible to walk the path of the Jedi Knights. Serving mainly as medical technicians or assistants to the healers who roamed the Halls, these individuals were often deployed onto the battlefield during conflicts within the Galactic Republic to serve as triage surgeons.

1773668989745.png Saleucami, was a dim, arid world in the Suolriep sector of the Outer Rim Territories. An economic powerhouse and major trading center in the Outer Rim. Saleucami was politically powerful during the Great Galactic War. During the Clone Wars, its inhabitants wished to stay out of the conflict, though war would eventually reach the backwater planet. It became a strategically held world within the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Controlled by the Techno Union throughout the Separatist Crisis, the world was liberated by the Grand Army of the Republic before the rise of the Galactic Empire and was spared the retribution demanded of other former Separatist worlds. Located along the Talcene Transit, the planet was supplied by cargo ships off the Perlemian Trade Route that were headed to the Kuthic Worlds.

DESCRIPTION and CULTURE: Saleucami is a dim, arid world with scattered oases of plant growth. Its name, Saleucami, means "oasis" in Wroonian; a word which was fitting for the only habitable planet within a system filled with dead, uninhabitable worlds and meteors. These meteors would frequently cross paths with the planet's orbit and would bombard its surface creating huge craters and calderas. Overtime, geothermal vents and subterranean water opened up within these craters, creating circular seas and turning some calderas into life-filled pockets on the planet's surface. Ranging from desert to wetlands, the terrain on Saleucami was as diverse as its colonists. Saleucami had no indigenous sentient species, but with its pleasant climate for most of the year outside of the scorching hot equatorial regions, many settlers came to find their own oasis. Among the most prominent species were the Wroonian, Weequay, Gran, and Twi'lek. These colonists lived in tiny townships within the mineral-rich, fertile craters of the world. Establishing Taleucema as the planet's major spaceport and capital, the location was chosen for its system of subterranean magma streams and geothermal vents. Harnessing the natural power of these features, the city-dwellers used the vents to power the city and provide warmth during the freezing desert nights. Diversity among the ecosystems created in these craters was marveled at by the local Saleucamians and visitors alike. Vast tracts of woodland would be broken up by deserts and swamps, while thick jungles filled with predators appeared elsewhere.

The culture on Saleucami primarily developed out of the Wroonian heritage, as they were the first settlers on the world. Based around the tenants of freedom of expression, the pursuit of happiness, and an explorer's spirit, the world blossomed on the Outer Rim, attracting many diverse species to its crater cities. As more and more cultures arrived, Saleucami's welcoming stance allowed for and encouraged full, cultural assimilation of different viewpoints. The Gran and Twi'lek settlers brought much influence to the world, and had the greatest impact on Saleucami's cultural practices. The more insular Weequays differed in that they kept to their own self-contained neighborhoods and were not as culturally present as other species.

Because the summer months saw dramatic temperature increases, most settlers did their business at night, choosing to remain indoors during the day. This period of the evening was known as Eventide and became a holiday of sorts for the first Wroonian settlers. Serving midday meals at midnight, the Pantorans reversed their schedules for the three months of summer and were highly active in the evenings.

RECENT HISTORY: Despite its best efforts to remain a peaceful oasis, Saleucami came under direct control of the Techno Union three years before the Battle of Naboo. When the Clone Wars began, its ties to the Techno Union placed it squarely under the control of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As a result, the planet was named by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine as part of a "Triad of Evil," alongside Felucia and Mygeeto. Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Adi Gallia once led a mission to rescue Eeth Koth from General Grievous, who was in orbit around Saleucami at the time.

Despite the population's desire to remain out of the war, the Confederacy used the planet as a staging area during the Outer Rim Sieges. Unbeknownst to the Saleucamian government, Count Dooku's Dark Acolytes had begun to convert several of the worlds underground caverns into cloning facilities for their own clone army—Morgukai clones trained by Anzat assassins. Despite their efforts at secrecy, this plot was discovered by the Jedi Master Tholme and Aayla Secura. As a result, the Jedi High Council sent Jedi Generals Oppo Rancisis and his second-in-command Quinlan Vos along with a task force to destroy the cloning operations on Saleucami. This would start a massive five month-long siege between the Republic and the Separatist forces on the planet. First, the Republic captured Saleucami's main city and then fought their way inward.

During the conflict, Jedi Master Rancisis was murdered by his former friend, Sora Bulq, after being distracted by Anzat assassins. Sora Bulq and Tol Skorr were later killed by Quinlan Vos and Bok was slain by Aayla Secura. The Republic forces also flooded Saleucami's magma tunnels to kill the Separatist Morgukai clones. Despite heavy losses on both sides, Saleucami's infrastructure was not heavily damaged, as most of the fighting occurred in the unpopulated desert regions. Maintaining a strong economy after the Republic established an interim government to lead the planet through post-battle clean-up and recovery efforts, the Saleucamians embraced the Grand Army's presence and lauded them as saviors. Leading Republic clean-up efforts was Jedi Master Stass Allie and Commander Neyo. While patrolling the battlefield for remaining Confederate forces in a unit of BARC troopers, Neyo received Order 66 over a secure comm channel. Neyo and his lieutenant fired upon Allie's 74-Z speeder bike, destroying the vehicle and killing the Jedi Master instantly.

The Scroll:

The Clone Wars are coming to an end, but for the Jedi and their allies the darkness only seems to spread and intensify. From the ashes of the Republic rises the new Galactic Empire.

Darth Sidious has issued his Order 66, spelling doom for the Jedi and their order. As the Clones turn their weapons from their Separatist enemies to their former masters, lone or small groups of jedi agents and allies seek to flee and hide from the Order's final destruction.

Knowing that fighting back is no longer an option, a small group of Jedi allies on the planet Saleucami band together to escape the Clone troopers seeking them out. They must navigate not only the Clones, but the remnants of the Droid Army that has gone into hiding on the planet’s surface, in hopes of finding a way off the planet.

Prelude...

It all seemed rather surreal, that Clone Wars might be coming to an end. And despite the officers trying to keep the men from spreading these rumours, they were indeed spreading like wildfires. A former Sith lord had been apprehended on Mandalore, Jedi had intercepted General Grievous on Coruscant after the Chancellor had been taken, the Separatist leader and former Jedi Count Dooku was dead and now a Jedi had been dispatched to deal with General Grievous, who was now on the run… Indeed, there was reason for optimism, even out here on the Outer Rim planet of Saleucami.

No2 Field Hospital, located about 45km North from the Taleucema City and Spaceport remained a hub of activity. Most combat operations in the sector had ended about a week ago, so most front-line Aid Posts and Casualty Clearing Stations had been shut down, with the wounded being transferred to the larger field hospitals or to hospital ships orbiting the planet. Nova stood by one wounded clone soldier who had received a serious head wound. She had treated him all the way from the aid post to here. Most had assumed he would die, but she’d managed to save him against all odds, and she was taking a particular interest in his recovery…

“Do you think it’s true, Doctor…? That war is about to be over…?” The wounded man asked, his head still wrapped in bandages and with one very bloodshot eye. She smiled when she heard his voice, and she looked at him but could only shrug… “Until it’s official, we’re still in a state of war” she reminded him… he nodded as he looked back up at the ceiling and she started to moved her cybernetic hand over his injured head and she used the built in scanning function. The data started to scroll on the monitors… “What do you think is going to happen to us clones, you know… When it is over?” He asked without looking at her… His tone was rather melancholy. It was a question she’d heard frequently over the past day or so…

“I wouldn’t worry about it, soldier… I’m sure they’ll find a use for you…” she said as her eyes focused on the screen… There was an anomaly in the scans. She’d picked it up a few times before, and she remained unsure what to make of it… At that moment Jedi Master Stass Allie was crossing the floor nearby, dressed as though she was headed out on patrol. Commander Neyo’s presence by the entrance seemed to reinforce the assumption.

“Master Allie…” She called. The Jedi Master had mentored her back at the medical center inside the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. “Yes, Nova… What is it…?” She asked as she was fastening her gloves… “I’m not sure, actually… I’m hoping you can tell me” she said showing her the scan readings of CT-4083’s head… The Jedi Master studied the readings for a moment before she looked at Nova… “I’ve never seen anything like this before… It’s like there’s a foreign object inside his head, but by the way the organic material has grown in around it, I’d say it’s been there for a long time…” She said… Nova nodded in agreement. “General…” Commander Neyo called out somewhat impatiently… Master Allie looked at the clone commander for a moment before she looked back at Nova… “I need to go, we’re overdue for a patrol over sector 5-9. Send a copy of the scan to Master Nema on Coruscant, let her investigate it, we have too much work to do, let’s not get sidetracked” she said placing a reassuring hand on Nova’s shoulder before she left with the commander for their patrol.

Nova nodded and watched the Jedi Master leave for a moment before she collected the Data and sent a secure transmission to Jedi Master Rig Nema… Though it would weight heavily on her mind for some time, she turned away and she moved to complete her rounds along the recovery ward…
