Idea one
It was dusk a few fires already lit a camp that could be of war but it wasn’t war time. Most of the tents were modest, one being bigger was clear to be the leaders. Banners of a burning sword on a field of black and gold. The camp was noisy from the men talking and drinking. They were under no lord they were mercenaries thier swords were to who paid but they stood on morals.
Farther back in the camp was a tent with one man standing out side of it as a younger one came to him.
“Is Captain Degray in there?” He asked nervous he knew the reputation the captain had for being disturbed.
“She’s indisposed at the moment. I can take a message.” The older male spoke. His dark hair pulled back he wore a hard look.
“Commander Tybirious has sent for her. What do I tell him.” The younger managed to sound more confident than he felt.
“She will be there when she can. I remind you to call our commander properly. Now go.”
As the younger turned to report. The older ducked into the tent clearing his throat. Two women were clearly enjoying each other. This was his captain the one he owed so much. "Captain, I apologize for the inconvenience.”
“It better be a good reason for you to be in here right now. I don’t ask for much a little privacy is not much.” The woman with hair like a raven’s wing spoke as he pulled her head up from the others neck clearly aggravated.
“Commander Visaron has summoned you to his tent.” The male spoke stepping back slightly averting his eyes.
“For the gods” she huffed as she untangled herself from the woman. “My dusky beauty you’ll have to wait for me.” She spoke patting the woman’s leg.
As she ducked out of the tent her shirt was bearly covering her leaving scars from battle exposed. She was in no mood to deal with any silly little disputes. As she came up to the big tent she didn’t announce her self her shirt still half laced.
“This better be good Commander I was entertaining.” She spoke as she entered before she saw another man. “For the gods sakes you have to be kidding me.”
The older male looked at the other. “You’re time to plead your case to Captain Degray starts now.” He spoke sounding amused he’d left out many details of his captain on purpose
The woman dropped in a chair her leg half draped over the edge, her effort causing her dark hair to fall about her face.
Idea 2
Kaylena Wolvenwind is second born of her family and, the only daughter of house Wolvenwind. Her and her twin brother share second born. Her mother had been quite surprised to have a daughter a long with a son, the night she birthed them. From their first breath shared Kaylena and Keelin had been inseparable or so it seemed. Even when forced to go spate ways of learning. The twins often were found slipping away to be with one another. Finaly the lord deemed it to where Kaylena could do her studies near the training field, so both would learn properly. Kay learned the way of the sward as well. Keeling didn't want his sister to be unable to protect herself.
After their sixteenth name day things changed for Kaylena, her life would never be the same. She was taken to their long time allies to make a wedding arrangement for her and the eldest son to be wed. He refused the wedding. This causing the long time allies to become rivals. In the same day her brother the only one who she felt safe to turn to had left while she was away. This only furthered her, despair, causing her to fall into a even more depressed state. She went into the woods around her land as she always wood when she needed to think, she was attacked there. This left her scared and a with blood on her hands when she killed the man. She sank into herself, the once beautiful songs that could be heard through out the halls of Woodened Hills fell silent on that day.
Now five long years later Kaylena was on her hands and knees in the halls of those once allies. The second born to the house took Kaylena as a ward to the house to keep her family in line after the Brawley her younger brother was killed by the new warden's son, for protecting Kay. She had stayed silent through most of this. She could hear the familiar foot fall. She wondered how long till the eldest came home, then what seven hells would she be in.
