All her life, Regina lived in isolation with her father and his henchmen. She was educated and trained to control her powers all within the walls of the underground hideout. She is telekinetic/telepathic. This is where the plot splits into different ideas:
1.) Regina's father is imprisoned and she is sent to live with some kind of group of supers (think teen titans) either by the government or a league of supers. She is moody, sarcastic, kind of bitchy - but that's just her personality nothing personal.
2.) Regina is due to marry a colleague of her father's. If for no other reason it will be to merge money, technology and man power between the two men. Of course she was the only thing a part of the agreement. The personality is the same, although she does hold back a little harder.
3.) The liar has been ambushed by other super heroes to bring the powerhouse of evil down. Regina is something of a shock, even more shocking when they are on the receiving end of her own attacks. She may have been trained but she will be no match for these full fledged heroes. At first they are unsure of what to do with her, then it is decided that she will return to their fortress to see if she was too far down her father's rabbit hole. Spoiler: She isn't.
