A man whose touch can turn anything to gold has installed himself as the dictator of a small South-East Asian country. A messy superhuman breakup threatens the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. A new Cold War where nuclear weapons are replaced by individuals with extraordinary powers pushes the world towards the brink of disaster.
Real-life superheroes are turning out to have some implications that most people hadn't considered when the first superhuman individual came on the scene. At first, superheroes helped to solve the world's problems. Wars were ended, people were saved from natural disasters, and the odd supervillain was defeated. The enormous potential of these individuals made people forget that superheroes are—at their cores—still human. And, inevitably, humans make mistakes. The only difference is that, if an average person's mistakes are like accidentally tapping someone's bumper in tight traffic, then a superhuman's mistakes are like driving a semi through the guardrails at 100 miles per hour.
So—now that the world is slowly realizing just how many mistakes superheroes are capable of making, what's a fledgling hero to do?
Why don't we write about it and find out!
With that little intro behind us—hi, I'm Red! (but you can really call me whatever suits you best.) I'm craving a superhero roleplay set in a sort of, The Boys/Invincible-esque kind of setting. I vaguely set up a story about a new hero in the intro, but we can talk more about the actual setup if you have some ideas or would prefer something slightly different. I'm going to be very flexible on the specifics of this one as I'm more looking for a feel to the setting rather than a particular dynamic.
I'll get this one out of the way quickly. I enjoy a bit of smut from time to time. However, unless I'm specifically looking for a smut-based rp, I prefer for the ratio to stay around 80/20 plot to smut. 90/10 would also be fine, but I really wouldn't like to go below 80/20. As for kinks, when I'm more interested in the story I tend to be pretty flexible with those. If there's anything specific you'd like to include just let me know and we'll have a chat about it.
I tend to match what my partner gives me but I can go 3000 words and over if I'm really into a roleplay. I try to avoid doing that, though. I find that super long posts like that don't always leave much wiggle room for partners to reply. That said, sometimes I do get carried away!
I am a full-time student so my schedule can be more or less packed depending on what work I get assigned. At the very minimum, I will try to respond once a week. However, I usually have time to send a few replies a day, especially if I'm really enjoying the rp.
