How Might I Tempt You?

Hello there and welcome to my tempting trousseau! This is the thread where I seek partners to RP with one of my male characters, and if you are interested after reading what I have to offer, I hope you will shoot me a PM to express interest and introduce yourself to me just as I am introducing myself to you here. Please do not post in this thread. I hope to keep this thread clean so that I might update it as my needs and desires change, grow and flourish.

First and foremost, you probably want to know a little about me. I’m a registered nurse. I am a woman. I am married. I have been an aspiring novelist since 2nd grade in elementary school, but have yet to accomplish that goal. I don’t know how much I’m actively trying, though, considering that I’m also working full time. My husband is an engineer. He is aware of my writing proclivities and sometimes he is my first reader. If you find that weird, don’t write with me. I love writing, but I also devote a lot of my time to reading and have another hobby in tabletop roleplaying games. I also have a rather large collection of board games and play them with my husband quite often. You should also know that my mental health has not been the most stable throughout history and that causes fluctuations in my writing capabilities when I have flare ups or when I’m going through medication adjustments. It’s primarily ADHD, but I’ve also had a lot of depressive episodes related to grief and other life things.

My Writing Style

Now for who I am as a writer. I write both male and female characters with equal enthusiasm. My males are historically more sought after than my females. I make each character that I play custom to the plot and the roleplay so I don’t have a collection for you to choose from ahead of time. I also don’t make character sheets, but if you’re someone who likes faceclaims, I can accommodate that type of need/request. I’m a very flowy writer. I like writing magic - but not clearly defined magic. I like the little touch of magic that can make our characters’ moment of intimacy that much more beautiful without causing an explosion. I like magic that weaves fates together when no one is looking, magic that ties knots and then runs away, magic that allows a character to caress while their hand is somewhere else entirely (that sounds like tentacles, but I promise it’s not). I like characters who are fated to be together. I like fast romance and fast intimacy. Then, once our characters are truly in love, I like crafting a world that’s determined to keep them apart by any means necessary. Sometimes that is violence. Sometimes it’s drama. Sometimes it’s magic.

I do not like several things (nor will I willingly write them):

  • Slow burn romance
  • Slice of life (exceptions for short-term stories)
  • Rules for Magic
  • Overpowered Characters
  • Listing out character ability and attack names
  • Heavy anal sex (unless it’s a M/M story)
As for the sexual side of things, there’s a lot I’m willing to discuss. Most of my sexual scenes in writing tend to be fairly vanilla with room for things to get rough while staying fairly vanilla. Ropes might come into play, and some elements of sensory deprivation as well, but I’m not one for going super into play with toys, gags, whips, chains. Bondage is fine, but we’ll likely stick with rope or ribbon. I like pretty things. Dominance is fine. Submission is fine. My females do lean towards being submissive, and I would not want to write opposite of a completely submissive male character; that’s just not my cup of tea. I like snowballing, which some people think is weird. I love age gaps where my females are the younger in the pair, and I also really enjoy writing my female character’s first sexual experience and then exploring how her curiosity and confidence grows in future encounters.

Plots:

Princess and her Knight in Armor: Character A has been protected since early in her youth by a knight (Character B) assigned to act as her champion and defend her honor against anything that might bring shame or doubt upon her status. They’ve gotten along well for so long. They laugh together, they cry together. She is always smiling when they have something to say about it. However, her nervousness at a betrothal to a prince faraway creates new turmoil. Is this prince truly worthy of her innocence? Can Character B really protect her when someone else will become so important in her life? And what of Character B’s feelings on the matter… the princess has been theirs for so long and somewhere along the way, they fell in love. Will the princess reciprocate?

Blood that Calls: Character A is a changeling. They have been raised in a village of humans, and they absolutely believe in their humanity. They have always walked with slightly more grace, been a bit more charming and learned a little bit faster. It’s nothing that’s caught attention, though. At least, it hasn’t in town. However, outside of town, the very scent and sound of her blood has drawn them. Character B is an ancient vampire who’s been looking for anything remotely interesting to pass time given they’ve seen so much in their centuries long lifetime. Character A’s blood might just be the spark they need. It sounds musical, smells like chocolate and wine, and sings to their senses more than any human they’ve ever tasted. Of course, having a vampire move in frightens the townsfolk to no end, and they come to a quick arrangement that allows Character B to have their pick of the townsfolk to sate their tastes, to save the rest. Character B makes a show of it, but knows all along who they will pick. Character A doesn’t react to their bite like a human would, though. For a human, the bite numbs and dulls. For Character A, the bite is an aphrodisiac beyond wonders. And Character A quickly becomes addicted to vampire blood. It’s quite an intoxicating combination. What happens, though, when the fae come in to reclaim their own? When they’re highly displeased to find a vampire reducing one of their kind to nothing more than an amusement, albeit one where pleasure is shared?

Preserving a Bloodline: Character A is a member of a rare bloodline, one whose blood is much more potent and satiating to a vampire than typical. And their bloodline is dying. The ruling council of vampires has a plan in place to use those who remain in the bloodline in an extensive breeding program designed to make their bloodline far more prevalent. When Character A is attacked, though, Character B is the nearest who can save her with his blood… which begins forging a bond. Character A becomes Character B’s possession effectively, and they’re not fond of sharing. What will happen when a human finds themself locked in a game of tug of war between the ruling council and a very powerful vampire outcast who doesn’t play fair?

Differentiating the Desires of Dragons: Our story takes place in a village where everyone on their eighteenth birthday has the chance to bond with a magical creature. Not everyone takes that chance because those that do go into the woods seeking that bond and that power don’t always return. And some that do return are changed forever by it, leaving behind who they once were for someone else entirely. Character A went in several years ago and came back different. Quiet, secretive, with a bond that no one knew. And they’ve been watching and waiting. Character B is next, and what they find is beyond their imaginings. They bond with a dragon, something no one has done in centuries (except Character A who will eventually reveal they have as well, but their dragon did not want it known.) Turns out the two dragons are mated, and they need help protecting their clutch because someone - or something - has been stealing dragon eggs. Dragon bonds are strong, though, and may pull these characters together forever. How will they know if their feelings are their own, or just echoes of emotion from their dragons? (This would very much be a medium burn story, I think.)

Slay the Princess: Character A is an up and coming knight looking to make their mark on the world. They are called to a village being terrorized by a dragon over the course of the past few months. Its strikes are predictable, but the village can’t stop the massive beast much less defend themselves. They’ve sent other knights who’ve not come back, but they can’t stop trying and just give up. However, when the knight happens upon the dragon’s lair, they find something very different from a beast; she’s a princess. Character B has been cursed by a witch. It happens every month, and the hunger and rage overcome her. She cannot control it much less stop it. Maybe if she wasn’t alone… or is Character A’s arrival just part of a witch’s game to wreck more havoc? Is there a way to break the curse?

Of Different Breeds…: A dragon does not concern himself with the matters of sheep. Except when they do… Character A is a dragon shifter; their prince, in fact. They have a younger sister fond of running off and when she gets herself stuck between a rock and a hard place, caught by someone who recognizes her, Character B runs to the little princess’s rescue without a second thought. Turns out, neither of them stand a chance, but Character B does buy them time - time enough for Character A to find them, save his sister, and watch Character B nearly fall to their doom. Character A saves them and brings them home. There is courage and beauty there that they’ve not encountered among their own kind; they’re shifters from two different worlds, but Character A is a dragon prince. He’s very used to getting what he wants, even when it’s a little wolf shifter who feels like she’s not worth him after being outcast from her own pack. He calls it fate, though. If only the rest of his kingdom could see it too.

Short Term Options:

What if you're thinking that you really want to write with me, but you'd rather stick with something simple? There's one of my favorite mottos (even though I'm terrible at following it) of "KISS". Keep. It. Simple. Silly. (Or, there's another word that can go there, but I want to be nice.) I am willing to consider and explore some options for a short term roleplay involving two characters and a world around them. It's possible that it could grow into something more, but we don't force it. We let it be what it is. For these options, I have pairings rather than plots, and if you're interested, you can give me some options for what our small conflict is between the two characters. These stories still cannot be slow-burn, but I'll do a little bit more slice of life stuff at times in these situations.

Pairings (this list will grow I'm sure):

  • Sister x Brother's best friend
  • Witch x Demon / Devil
  • Bartender x Lonely Customer
  • Tattoo Artist x Client
  • Princess x Prince
  • Sexual stage performer x New performer in training

Closing Remarks:

If you made it through that, thanks for reading! If you're interested, PM me and let me know what you'd like to write! I do write males as well (as previously stated), and if you're interested in any of these plots or proposals with me playing the male lead, I can do that too! I'll be getting that thread up soon-ish (TM), but I'm open to PMs with those requests in the meantime as well.
