    BIOGRAPHY :

    Logan is the second born son to the Reed family; an upper middle class, golden retriever, white picket fence type of household. They led a quiet small town life, free of the supernatural. Logan speaks fondly of his childhood memories; their days were spent with their stay at home mother, Wendy. She taught the brothers a sense of community and the importance of family. Both his older brother, Riley, and himself were much loved and by any standard popular.

    When Logan was fourteen, his father was diagnosed with heart disease that required open heart surgery. All seemed to have gone quite alright, but after two days in the ICU his father deteriorated and eventually died. Richard's death was like an implosion; the tight family unit was torn apart in a matter of months.

    His mother dealt with the grief by retreating and avoiding, leaving Riley and Logan to fend for themselves. Logan struggled to live a normal life ever since, feeling betrayed, lied to and completely lost. Fortunately his relationship with his older brother was warm, close even. Riley put his dreams of going to college on hold while their mother married a man in the city, to make sure Logan finished high school. Logan managed to get his life back on track with the help of the new girl in town, and his girlfriend, Catalina. At the time she kept her vampirism a secret, and pushed him to get involved in life again. Logan focused on school, his social life and football. Life was colorful again.

    When Catalina had to move out of town the pair split on good terms, but failed to keep in touch. Logan continued his life as the popular quarterback, sometimes picking fights with his mother, but mostly focused on himself and his friends.

    That was, until that one night with Shannon Campbell.

    Little did he know that it would change his life, forever. Shannon accidentally turned him into a lycanthrope. Once the initial shock wore off, Logan fell hopelessly in love with his now mate. He went on to become the Alpha of their little pack, a father to be and incredibly confused as how to make this new version of himself work. In their new hometown Logan bumped into Catalina again, who in turn disclosed her own supernatural nature and helped him find a solution to his problem.

A master manipulator who can get away with murder - though deep down, beneath the many layers of masks she wears, there's a lonely, traumatized and scared young woman who's desperate for something safe, warm and affectionate.

    BIOGRAPHY :

    Catalina was born as Nenetl Amaxal at the end of the 15th century in a small village near Tenochtitlan. She was the youngest of five. Her family were wealthy merchants who lived quite comfortably, splitting their time between the city and their countryside house. Her parents raised her to be a a well rounded young lady, who'd hopefully marry up and into nobility. While Nenetl enjoyed the benefits of her upbringing, she found the prospect rather boring. That is why the girl spent most of her late teens and early twenties breaking hearts and engagements - right up until the moment she was pregnant out of wedlock. Her Father would have none of It, but by the saving grace of her Mother she was able to carry to full term and deliver the baby - a boy.Her Father took the baby within minutes after the birth and knew only one way to wash out the stain on the Amaxal name. He offered Nenetl to the priests of the templo mayor to be honored in the most grisly of ways; human sacrifice. Nenetl's heart was cut from her chest and her lifeless body thrown down the steps - yet she woke in the catacombs. The high priest, a vampire, had sired her and would keep her under his wing. Being a vampire in that day and age was easy; with human sacrifice and ritualized cannibalism, it wasn't hard to blend. Her Maker taught her many things, though he could never teach her how to get over the heartbreak of her human life. Nenetl searched for her child many times through the years, which was continuously without avail, and to her endless sorrow.When the Spanish arrived, life took a turn.Nenetl lived through the decline and fall of the city, the years of disease these strangers brought, and when Tenochtitlan was ultimately sacked and destroyed, she got separated from her Maker. Nenetl tried fleeing the city, but seeing as she needed human blood to survive and the population and been practically annihilated, the young vampire had to stick around. She searched for her Maker, unsure whether he had died or abandoned her, and with each passing week she grew more desperate. By the time the immigrants made the great journey to her shores, Nenetl found opportunity and seized it with both hands. A young woman by the name of Catalina del Castillo had survived a horrible shipwreck. She had lost her parents, but had gained a fortune seeing as she was the sole heiress to the silver mines the family had intended to exploit. Nenetl took her time torturing all the answers she needed out of her, so that she could seamlessly take up the girl's life. Nenetl killed her, and from that point in time was known as Catalina. The new Catalina travelled to Guanajuato, and lived out the life of the real Catalina at their family's hacienda with the help of a befriended witch - which was only for a short decade when it was starting to get obvious that she didn't age.Unable to let the thought of her child go, Catalina traveled back to her family's house to get answers. The situation escalated quickly as they refused to tell her anything about him, resulting in the vampire slaughtering her family. Being none the wiser, and inconsolable, Catalina went on a rampage that lasted for decades. The lone vampire left a trail of dead bodies, fueling the superstitious rumors of a Sanguine Slayer. Catalina didn't hold back in those days, killing whoever or whatever crossed her path at her own leisure. Anything, really, to feel something else than the gutting pain of not knowing, of being robbed of a life that could have been, the grief of loss and betrayal.Her murderous tendencies and raging side were only subdued when she was taken in by a coven of vampires, who'd taken pity on her (and couldn't allow her to leave a trail like that). Catalina eventually seemed to settle in, going with the motions of the coven rather than acting out in emotional outbursts or pining over what could have been if she'd just found her son. Although she never told anyone in the coven what happened to her, it was obvious Catalina was badly hurt and broken. This is also where she met Fiona Croft, and though she grew to like the woman, it didn't prevent Catalina from betraying her and the entire coven. When a group of Hunters lured her with the promise of information on her son (who by now could be a grandfather, if he still lived), Catalina happily sold her coven out. The deal she struck; her life and the information for that of the vampires that had taken her in.The information later turned out to be a dead end, and now she had another problem on her hands; Fiona, and the Council backing her. The older vampire launched a hunt on Catalina that would last for centuries. Though Catalina has been a fugitive since then, it wasn't only Fiona on her trail. The vampire had made many enemies, some in high places, who'd all rather see her dead or brought before justice. Catalina spent her time running to all the corners of the world, scheming, assuming new identities, throwing people under the bus and downright murdering, making friends and enemies of all sorts, but always staying a step ahead. She came up with inventive ways to protect herself, to always put a few lines of defense between herself and the ever looming threat - not at all bothered when it meant death to the poor souls that thought to protect her for a higher reason. Catalina createdIt wasn't until the mid 1800's that Catalina learned about the possibility of a hybrid species. They were supposed to be the height of predatorily prowess - and all sired to their Maker. For the next 150 years, Catalina searched for ways to create such a hybrid. Her methods were unscrupulous as ever, engaging in unethical experiments and she had her fair share of horrible failed attempts. It seemed all to come down to the witch's power; none seemed able or strong enough to actually finish the ritual successfully.That was, until the van Pelt witch came along. The vampire befriended the young woman, pulling her into her web of magnificent half-lied stories. Catalina was settled in a small town at the time, which was packed with wolves. The girl had enrolled herself in the high school to gain the trust of the locals (because what harm could a cute little human teenager do?), and had fetched herself a candidate ; Logan Reed. The two were romantically involved, though it was a rouse and a pastime for Catalina more than anything. While she was fond of him, he could just as easily be collateral damage should things go sideways. All she had to arrange was for him to be bitten and turned into a werewolf - after which Sara would perform the ritual.Unfortunately, Sara abandoned the idea when she figured out what she'd been set up to do. The witch withdrew herself, and finally knowing who she was dealing with, Sara threatened Catalina with her witchy friends. The vampire didn't quite allow such things and felt compelled to send a message. It was either with her or against her, and one should consider their odds wisely. The vampire murdered Sara just to get that point across and in doing so sent another shockwave through the supernatural community. Catalina and her following moved on, to another city with another opportunity.When Catalina learned that the Roth sisters were in fact alive, she circled back to the more powerful one, the special one; Venus. She befriended the witch and lead her to believe that she saved her from her sociopath ex-boyfriend, Patrick. In fact, the two had struck a deal a long time before that. While they worked on Patrick becoming a castor vampire hybrid using Catalina's blood and connections, he in turn served Venus up on a silver platter - including the baby for the blood binding. And with good old Logan in town, things finally started to look up again.Too bad Venus started dating a rather angry vampire Hunter, and Logan's beta turned out to be the one that made Catalina question everything.

    BIOGRAPHY :

    Sakinu Kane is the only child of the cultural anthropologist Mr Thomas Hartley and a Paiwan chief's daughter, Xuwu Hanako. While it took Tommy two years to persuade Hanako's Father to allow her to marry him, they were rather quickly given leave to start their new family away from the Xuwu clan - as per Paiwan tradition, since Hanako wasn't the firstborn. The newlyweds chose Tommy's home, the quaint city of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada.

    A couple of years later, Sakinu was born in the backseat of his dad's beat up Volkswagen. His mother insisted on a traditional name, and insisted even harder on calling him by his first name - which worked for only a couple of months. Little Kane grew up in a rather academically focused family, in which his mother was the strange one out with her tales of supernatural gods, spirits, ancestors, shamans and priests. Kane thoroughly enjoyed his Mother's many stories, the division between the six worlds and the adventures all these protagonists went on. The traditional snacks such as qavai and cinavu are a fond memory too - and probably the best part of his Mother's little rituals and ceremonies.

    Kane's high school experience was what one might expect from a studious teenager like himself - great grades, extracurriculars and a steep learning curve when it came to the interactions with his peers. He learned that not everyone was made out to be his friend, either because they disliked him for his more nerdy tendencies, or the simple discrepancy between the level of their intellects - but there were some he could call his close friends. And, obviously, there were some romantic relationships as well. Kane explored people he found interesting, that made him wonder, that kept the gears of his mind running - though young love, especially in high school, wasn't meant to last. A particularly nasty breakup with his then girlfriend, Olivia, made Kane turn away from the concept of love for a while. Too complex. Too hard to grasp, not adhering to laws of logic - it just didn't seem like something he should be actively pursuing.

    Besides, disaster had struck and Kane just couldn't bring himself to think of anything other than the fact that his Mother was diagnosed with Huntington's disease. A degenerative, slowly progressing disease that always resulted in death. His Mother's diagnosis was the reason he chose to attend university in his hometown. Even though the disease wouldn't take his Mother any time soon, Kane felt comfortable being in the same city as his Mother, especially now that his Father didn't seem to be able to deal with the news. Thomas retreated inward, acting as if his beloved Hanako had already gone. As the years progressed, and Hanako's symptoms worsened, his dad seemed to distance himself from the situation entirely.

    Kane resented his father for it.

    Nevertheless, the man went on to graduate university with flying colors. At this point, just after receiving his Bachelor's degree, his Mother insisted on them traveling to Taiwan. She wanted to see her clan one more time before it was too late and such an endeavor would be made impossible by her illness. A simp for his Mother, Kane agreed and the pair went on to travel to the Paiwan regions. Kane met his relatives at the foot of Mt Dawu and learnt much more about this half of him. It fascinated him (much like it had his Father all those many years ago), and gave him a sense of belonging even though he couldn't rationalize why these people and their ways appealed to him so much. Being a man of science, Kane had always dismissed his Mother's tales as bedtime stories, but even he experienced some things that were inexplicable while he was there. Before leaving, his own grandmother tattooed the motifs of the family on his arms and chest. It was quite a big thing, with a large ceremony and numerous rituals performed. His grandmother prayed and prattled something about good fortune, protection and more mumbo jumbo about his wandering soul - all the while he was worried out of his mind about hygiene and the impossibly big risk of infection.

    Lucky bastard that he is, he didn't get an infection. Or hepatitis. Back home in Canada, his tattoos healed as he enrolled for his Master's degree. He gravitated toward particle accelerators, projects to decode the genome, and molecular biology. Delving deeper into these matters also brought home the lesson that his Mother really was going to get a lot worse before passing, and that it was a hereditary disease. Kane postponed on getting himself tested for quite some time, telling himself that knowing a diagnosis wouldn't change a thing. Either he had it, or he didn't - and knowing or not knowing wouldn't make a difference for his own prognosis if he did carry the gene.

    Kane went on to work in laboratories as he tended to his deteriorating Mother - slowly starting to hate his Father for being so absent in taking care of his wife. By the time his Mother required assistance in all areas of her life, Thomas decided that it was best for everyone involved that Hanako was to be admitted to a home where they could help 24/7. He'd found a place in Crescent City, USA, specialized in palliatively treating patients with Huntington's. Enraged, but unable to persuade his Father to not do this, Kane finally opted to make the move with his Mother.

    He quit his job, packed a couple of suitcases and got on a flight. Soon after he got an apartment and a tenure with a quirky professor, all the while he could visit and care for his mom.

    The job turned out to be one out of his wildest dreams - at first glance marrying his love for science with the wondrous world of legend and lore his Mother had introduced him to. But a couple of months into the job, professor Kline had given him a couple of assignments that would shake him to the core. Legend and lore weren't just stories, they were real, and the creatures in it truly among them.

    Most fascinating of them all the woman that just happened; Fiona. It seems like she's awakened things inside him he didn't even know were there. Strange dreams and visions that felt like memories rather than figments of his imagination. Kane is not complaining though - he'd much rather focus on whatever it is that she's triggered than the letter in the top drawer of his desk, stating that he too has Huntington's disease.

    BIOGRAPHY :

    Vidar Blaine grew up in a working-class werewolf family that knew more about survival than comfort. His parents had always been pack wolves, tied to a strict Alpha and an unforgiving hierarchy. Vidar and his twin sister, Eydis, were trouble from the start - one brawn, one brains, and together impossible to contain.

    That trouble grew teeth when Vidar was young. A “game” on the cliffs ended with another child permanently limping. Another time, in wolf form, his jaws closed around a pup’s neck, shaking the smaller wolf the way dogs do prey. The victim survived thanks to quick healing and frantic first aid, but the damage was done. Accident or not, the trust was gone. The Blaine family was pulled aside and “strongly urged” to leave their pack before more blood was spilled.

    The Blaines started over in Crescent City. Vidar’s father took a grueling job at the oil refinery south of town, trading his pride as a wolf for the dignity of putting food on the table. Vidar learned early that sweat was the currency of respect. He followed in his father’s footsteps, clocking in long hours, proud to carry his weight.

    It wasn’t all bleak. Crescent City gave Vidar his best friend, Booker Gerulf. The two boys discovered each other’s wolf nature almost instantly and never looked back. Vidar, with his endless jokes and crooked grin, was sunshine to Booker’s steadiness. They were thick as thieves, inseparable, their childhoods filled with dares, broken fences, and laughter that could rattle windows.

    Still, the Blaine home was not easy. Vidar’s mother was sickly, fragile in a way that made her warmth precious but fleeting. When she passed during his late teens, Vidar lost his gentlest anchor. His father, already hardened by refinery life, only grew stricter. “You work. You endure. You don’t complain.” Vidar absorbed it all, throwing himself into labor, finding peace in repetition, even as grief gnawed at him.

    Eydis, though - she was different. Smarter, sharper, unwilling to accept that refinery grit and pack loyalty were all life had to offer. In the years after their mother’s death, she chose her own path, leaving Crescent City behind. Vidar never stopped feeling the loss of his twin, even if they FaceTimed, even if she still came around on holidays. He was proud of her, but her absence cut deep; she was the only one who saw the shadows behind his sunshine, the patterns he tried to smother with meditation, gemstones, tai chi, and laughter.

    As an adult, Vidar became everything his father raised him to be: strong, dependable, blue-collar proud. But he also became what his friends needed him to be: the jokester, the ray of light, the guy who could laugh at himself so no one else had to. To the pack, he’s easygoing muscle; to Booker, he’s family; to himself, he’s still learning how to live with himself.

Her parents, Dean and Marcy Blaine, were quintessential blue-collar: hard-working, practical, and fiercely devoted to their children. Dean could fix anything, from a leaky faucet to a motorcycle engine, while muttering his dry jokes about "kids these days." Marcy brought warmth and quiet pride, softening his gruffness and making home a place that felt safe and alive - for a time.

    Eydis and her twin, Vidar, were impossible to contain. One was brains, one was brawn, and together they left a trail of chaos that sometimes crossed the line. A "game" on the cliffs left another child with a permanent limp, and in wolf form, Vidar's jaws closed around a young pup's neck, shaking it like prey. Both survived, but the incident fractured trust, and the Blaine family was strongly urged to leave their pack. Crescent City became their fresh start, a new home on the edge of a life defined by hard work and pack loyalty.

    Even there, Eydis saw the shadows behind Vidar's endless jokes and crooked grin - the guilt, the violence, the instincts he was constantly trying to tame. Vidar sought grounding in work, laughter, meditation, and gemstones, while Eydis gravitated toward knowledge, strategy, and independence. Their friend Booker Gerulf entered their lives during their pre-teen years, a stabilizing presence and companion in childhood adventures.

    Then came loss. Marcy's fragile health gave way in their late teens, leaving Vidar and Eydis without their gentlest anchor. Vidar threw himself into labor at the refinery, and Dean became stricter, grumpier, almost unapproachable. For Eydis, the household that once smelled of warmth and comfort now felt suffocating, lonely, a place where she was expected to shoulder responsibility and maintain order in the absence of her mother while navigating a world of blue-collar grit, pack loyalty, and grief that often felt like it would crush her. She worked at Pann's, learned to care for herself and others, but the tug of responsibility - to Vidar, to the pack, to anyone who needed her - often pulled her away from her own desires.

    It wasn't until Sev that she'd ever, truly, considered leaving. Had she thought herself in love with the dangerous, enigmatic man at some point in time, it took but a kiss to realize it wasn't that at all. In Severo she found freedom, a sense that adventure was just around the corner. Eydis left Crescent City for the great unknown, safely tucked under the wing of the elder Chupacabra. She learned of the world, its people, their histories and stories. She crossed the Atacama Salt Flat, Land Rover'ed the Antartic, huddled down in Mongolian yurts, danced the night away in Spain, loved and lost in Kazachstan, explored long lost temples in Cambodia, listened to each and every campfire story - even if she didn't understand their language. Eydis, roaming the globe with Severo, finally found a sense of belonging that had escaped her for years.

    But everything had to come full circle at some point. And if Severo was drawn back to Crescent City, so was she - eager to see Vidar again, bracing herself for her father’s hard gaze, and unaware that something, or someone, waiting there might finally give her a reason to stay.
