IMPERIAL SERVICE RECORD:

Born to a family of moderate wealth in the hinterlands of Carida, Maro's childhood could be described as ideal if not for his authoritarian father and sheer number of siblings. The youngest of the Vane family, Maro, came into his life with expectations that could not be met in the strict timeframe that his father laid out, often leading to severe punishment that all but ensured resetment festered within the boy. In the years leading up to the Clone Wars, Maro's father turned his anger away from his children and toward the government he believed to be strangling his failing shipping business, slowly embracing Separatist sentiments that would see him at odds with his wife and her family. Naturally, divorce followed shortly, and Maro's father vanished with his remaining wealth into Separatist space just before the battle of Geonosis.

Maro found himself in the care of his mother's family, xenophobic and pompous as they were, and began to embrace the ideology that had begun to spread thanks to the efforts of the then Supreme Chancellor and COMPOR, that saw the human youth of the Core to believe themselves to be the galaxies guides and that the alien speices of the Outer Rim sought little profit and suffering for the galaxy. While too young to ever fight in the Clone Wars, Maro was quickly enrolled in the prestigious academy on Carida before being selected for a transfer into the newly formed Imperial Navy. His remaining training was handled by the instructors of Skystrike Academy, where only the best starfighter pilots made it into Imperial service.

Seeing potential in the young man, Maro was chosen to serve in the elite 181st Fighter Wing. Famed for its combat record and long list of victories, the 181st's TIE's bare the red stripes of the Empire's elite, an honor Maro finds immense pride in even as he seeks to earn yet further honors. In his mind, the galaxy's future was forever tied to the Empire's sucess and Maro is one of its most ardent defenders.
