Welcome, one and all to Eva's Emporium~
Here we strive to weave tales of romance amid grand adventures.
Challenges of monsters and magic, curses and prophecies, or the pair themselves who seem horribly mismatched.
In this place, true love shall prevail, no matter the obstacles, no bitter ends.
Though sometimes, might not be the love such expected or intended.
Even monsters will learn to love.
Gods will fall to their hearts.
Many a maiden will learn their fairytale ending was not what they planned.
Long-term and short-term tales happily woven.
Ideas or prompts below, if you so happen to like one.
Or if you are inspired with an idea of your own, please reach out!

UPDATED: 07/04/2024

Hello dears. Briefly about me, I am in my early 30's. I have been writing stories since I was seven years old. I am an English Major. I do expect quality partners who are able to come up with their own ideas, and be engaged in the stories we write. Typically my responses are anywhere between 500 - 1200 word posts depending on the scenes, more if there are multiple characters. All that stated, I am a very friendly person, and very open to talking about the stories and scenes, plotting and characters. One of my biggest faults is if I am not engaging with someone's writing, I tend to ghost because I don't know how to tell them that their writing doesn't stimulate my excitement without hurting their feelings, but I am working on being better with that. Below I have listed some of my favorite tropes. I am not into modern stories or science fiction with maybe one exception. I am not often in the mood for dark romance, so please forgive if you like one of the ideas and I say no.
Now, if a story you are liking is already taken, but you have a better idea/different spin on it, by all means feel free to approach me about it.
1) Beauty and the Beast Theme
2) Captive Bride/Kidnapping Trope - I am known in chat for being kidnapped, in fact it's dubbed Evanapping.
3) Beastly Men Trope
4) Fantasy Themes
5) Historical Themes
6) Slow-Burn Romance Trope
7) Hate-Turned-Love Trope
8) Language Barrier Trope
9) Different Cultural Terminologies Trope
10) Taming the shrew trope

This is going to be a long-term, multiple character story that surrounds the tales of the Norse gods. A high challenge rating for any writer who wants to help weave this novella. The two main gods which the story is to be told from the perspective of is the god Thor, and the goddess Skadi. The other characters will switch back and forth according to the story much akin to Game of Thrones. Lots of planning and ideas have gone into this, would love a well-versed partner to help bring this story to life. It IS a high challenge, however, but if you feel confident enough in this, I encourage you to approach so I can spam you with the ideas, it is simply too much to put here.

CURRENTLY TAKEN LINK: Flower in the Tempest

A brutally savage and expanded war Drashum (the high dragon chief) has amassed one of the largest armies the world over has seen. He has been without equal, is a great leader to his people, and is renowned as a savage to his enemies. The people under the Drashum are known as Drakoni - based on the ancient legends of the Dragons who dominated the world long ago, and according to legend, the gods themselves had to banish the Dragons to be trapped among the stars where they chase the ever changing paths attempting to get home, so that mortal men could flourish. The Drakoni believe themselves either descendents of the Dragons or their loyal people who await their return, as they are mini-wyvern-riders (these creatures are horse sized) and wingless drake-tamers of the great plains and mountains and deserts.

It is a very male-dominated society, but their women are protected, provided for and cherished, they are content with their lives. Ever the warring nation, everything in their culture leads back to war. Their hair is worn as long and proud, lest they lose in battle, then it is cut off. The longer, more decorations (such as braids and trophies and tokens) their mane has, the more powerful the man. The current Drashum would have hair braided near down past his waist, he has known so many victories. Now this can easily be redone to be horns instead of hair depending on the appearance of the Drakoni that may be desired. The title of Drashum is won in battle - the greatest warrior is proclaimed such. Family is extremely important to the Drakoni as well. Though the current Drashum has well over 100,000 under his command, they live in smaller tribes and communities. They are partially nomadic so their enemies may not find them so easily.

An ambitious deposed prince from lands across the seas or to the North wishes to forge an alliance with this Drashum. In return for his armies to enslave most of the west and restore his crown, the prince barters his beautiful sister as a wife to the Drashum. Although she is the first born, he has kept her under such a ruling thumb, she accepts she will not be queen. A woman of rare beauty and softness, but an inner fire that is longing to burn bright.

Even if there is a slight language barrier between them, will they be able to overcome their differences? Will the Drashum accept this proposed offer and claim the lovely as his? Will he see her only as a tool, a slave he traded, or will new, powerful bonds be forged? Will she be able to love a man thought to be the most savage brute of the world? Will she be able to accept her new life and place among them after being sold by her brother? What more does this mysterious woman have to offer? Does more await for the pair than what was forethought? Is there treachery in her heart or in the thoughts of those around them? Will they turn against one another or learn to cling to each other? Will the Drashum relinquish his armies to the prince? Or will the Drashum make a Queen of an enslaved princess?

Note: The cultural setting can vary based on the wants of the player. Want this in a more viking setting? Sure. Want this in a more Arabian Night's setting with silken tents, belly dancing and such? Awesome. Want this in greecian or roman culture? Can do. The main desire with this story is Culture Clash/Shock. Also, MC will always have an appearance that is striking and odd to the Drakoni, but also is something that makes her desirable to the Drashum.

Links to Adoptable Unfinished Stories: In the Tent of the Khal Among the Herd Tale of the Centauri

A brutally savage and expanded Centauri Khal (the lead Centaur Stallion) has amassed one of the largest armies the world over has seen. He has been without equal, is a great leader to his people, and is renowned as a savage to his enemies. The people under the Khal are known as Centauri - Centaurs based on Greek mythologies. The Centauri are a proud people, yet only male-born as centaurs are the embodiment of the wilds and strengths of masculinity. They are ever conquering and seeking "mares" - women to continue their lineage, but there is more to the legend of them than meets the eye. The Centauri men merge/unmerge in physical form with a bonded steed (this is to adhere to Sanctum rules so any intimate times are humanxhuman and no bestiality involved) a fact that is kept a great secret about them. Or these can simply be Horse-Riders.

The current Khal would have hair braided near down past his waist, he has known so many victories. The title of Khal is won in battle - the greatest warrior is proclaimed such. Family is extremely important, a man will die to protect his offspring and mares. Though the current Khal has well over 100,000 under his command, they live in smaller tribes and communities of families. They are partially nomadic so their enemies may not find them so easily.

Plots: An ambitious deposed man of power from other lands wishes to forge an alliance with the Centauri. In return for armies, or perhaps even to spare his own life from the Centauri raids, he barters his beautiful sister as a wife to the Khal.

Another idea is the Khal, whilst traveling, comes across the woman, she could be of noble birth or even a begging peasant, he doesn't know. She could be fleeing for her life from something, or she could be minding her own business picking flowers - point is, the Khal chases her down and captures her for his own. In his culture, a warrior shows his marital prowess to a woman and her family by capturing her, then sending bridal payment to her family to ensure he can take care of her. A play on centaurs being famous for kidnapping maidens.

Even if there is a slight language barrier between them, will they be able to overcome their differences? Will hearts be won between them? Will he see her only as a tool, a slave he traded, or will new, powerful bonds be forged? Will she be able to love a man thought to be the most savage brute of the world? Will she be able to accept her new life and place among them? Does more await for the pair than what was forethought? Is there treachery in her heart or in the thoughts of those around them? Will they turn against one another or learn to cling to each other? Will an Empire rise or fall beneath the hooves?

Note: The people can believe they are descended of centaurs who were banished to the constellations OR be actual centaurs themselves. The cultural settings and laws can vary based on the wants of the players. The main desire with this story is Culture Clash/Shock for MC. Also, MC will always have an appearance that is striking and odd to the Drakoni/Centauri, but also is something that makes her desirable to the Drashum.

Suddenly from one day amid modern life, a young woman is pulled from the waters by an unseen force. All at once, she is within a land unrecognized, with languages she does not understand and soldiers chasing her through the streets. Terrified, she is pulled into a side street by a seemingly kind and handsome stranger also hiding from the guards. As he discovers she does not speak his language, he gives her a kiss - to which end now she understands him, but frightens her off. Soon she is captured, however, and learns she was summoned specifically by a cold-hearted Hittite Queen on a quest for revenge against the King and all his sons, and killing this girl from time will ensure her success. Moved to a public square for human sacrifice (disguised as an offering to their war god), the Queen is about to kill the young woman before a voice rises up. Its the man from before, one of the princes of Anatolia - he apologizes to his step mother and his father, that he did not know the girl was marked for sacrifice and had 'claimed her first' earlier (ie, insinuating he had taken the virginity of a virgin meant for sacrifice) and so offers up that he will give a hundred virgin animals instead to her place. What will become of her? Will the prince send her home? CAN she even go home? Will he keep her as his concubine perhaps? Why THIS girl? Is she more than she appears to be? What mass of entangled political blood has she been brought into? Who is this man that saved her? Lets answer these questions!

CURRENTLY TAKEN LINK: Secrets Among the Sands

This story takes place in early 1900s, likely. Think Indiana Jones and The Mummy meets Arabian Nights, The Shiek, and Sahara. The emphasis on this story is cultural differences.

A young woman, Evelyn Jones by name, is working hard on an archeological dig within the desert with her mentor a Harvard Professor, and a host of other students, treasure seekers and local diggers. Funded by a wealthy nobleman with a map that he has shared with the professor, it is supposedly the lost treasure cave of the 40 Thieves, lost to the desert sands or a curse that laid over the caves that caused them to collapse and sand storms continuously cover it. It isn't too long before odd things and accidents begin to occur. The locals all blame the curse of the 40 Thieves being awoken by the diggers, that one of the items they stole will awaken an ancient evil. A rather handsomely exotic and young, but influential, nomadic Shiek (YC) approaches the professor in his tents to cease his digging, and meets the rather stubborn and beautiful, Evelyn Jones. Appearance wise, the two are rather taken with one another, even if they do not admit to it.

From the Shiek's perspective, there have been attempts to frighten the archeologists away, never actually hurting anyone, but the caravans are refusing to take their normal paths due to the digging, meaning supplies aren't getting to where they need to be, whole system is disrupted. The Shiek goes to speak calmly with the Professor, having coffee with him at the dig site in his tents. and that's when he meets the woman whose very presence will upset the foundation of his being. In almost everything they are vastly different, down to her wearing men's trousers and taking off her hair covering in front of him or trying to shake his hand.

This will start as a seemingly non-magical world but then reveal that it is in fact, filled with old magic from Arabian Nights sort of tales such as flying carpet, enchanted objects, etc.

Sort of The Mummy and Indiana Jones meets The Shiek, and yes I did name Evelyn Jones after The Mummy and Indiana characters.

This has the potential as well for any Beauty and the Beast type tropes of spells, curses maybe upon the Shiek himself, etc. All up to what we weave. I have many ideas and scenes for this plot. It can be a simple, non magical straightforward romance story of a powerful Shiek who kidnaps a feisty foreign scholar amid a tribal war, or it can be that mixed with a long tale of world-traveling, magical artifacts, a lost city in the sands, an ancient evil awakened and love to determine their fate.

An oldie but a goodie! Whether it is the Grimm Brothers tales or Disney, everyone knows the story of Cinderella, right? Well, twisting it up a bit, what if the prince and Cinderella actually met earlier on? What if they became friends, all the while not truly knowing whom the other was? He's a carefree young man who grows bored of his lessons and duties and sneaks off the castle grounds, and assumes she's just a servant girl, but still is every bit happiest in her company and learning valuable lessons from her. She assumes he's a fibbing pageboy or squire or young knight, and often scolds him, but develops a lasting friendship of trust, learning from him that its quite healthy to be selfish and stand up for herself every now and then. Together they embark on a mission to thwart the plots of the right hand of the king from taking over the kingdom. Whether they know it or not. In the shadows lurks a secret helping hand who made a promise long ago to watch over Ella. Possible plots include:
  • kidnap and rescue.
  • Cinderella being the step-niece to the evil right hand (makes sense if he's the brother to her step-mother and those two are in cahoots to get one of the step-sisters married to the prince to control the throne)
  • a painter who steals the souls of his portrait subjects
  • Cinderella falling ill and the prince, mistaken for a servant page boy that she often hangs out with by her step-family, puts the prince to work doing her chores.
(More ideas to come)

Specifics Link: Lord of the Rings

For a while I've been wanting to do a detailed LOTR rp between Eomer and a possible OC of mine that can be made into the actual canon wife of Eomer as part of the plot. Character's name is Caera Vetrborne, a low-born noble woman who happens to be a blind falconer. Her father is old friend of King Theoden and Prince Eomund (Eomer's father), is Overseer of the Gap of Rohan, guarding it from invasions. Caera navigates the world through the aid of her loyal raptors of the skies. Though she has quite many secrets, she is eager for someone to see beyond her blindness and to take the risk for adventures. Thanks to certain bloodline gifts (much akin to how Bard the Bowman from the hobbit can speak with sparrows from his bloodline of Dale), years of training and her falcons, she has keen abilities for defending herself with a quarterstaff and for archery. Her sense of touch and smell and hearing are heightened to the point she can identify the world, even if she cannot see it. I have many ideas for a long term romantic adventure involving Wights, the Dead Marshes, the witches of Angmar, the Witch King of Angmar, all interwoven to the canon events of the franchise. Even if all you have seen is the films, that is completely fine. If YOU have a specific idea/plot you would like to see come to life between them, please do not hesitate to tell me, it could very well be better than mine! Come weave a tale with me of adventure and love as our characters set out to protect Rohan, break dark magics and reveal terrible secrets kept by the royal families.

CURRENTLY TAKEN LINK: This Awkward Thing of Ours
An odd little craving of an old school gotham noir mafia romance, with some supernatural twists. Think Peaky Blinders meets Red Riding Hood and Carnival Row. With the crime lord being a werewolf, a pack under his command. Preferable setting is anywhere from 1900-1940. Including themes of kidnapping, extortion, blackmail, etc. Overarching plot to be determined. Can be a small story of simple passionate romance, or it can be a drawn out story of differing factions at war, of disappearances and mangled bodies, etc.

Way out West where only the tough and stalwart prevail, sits a small town amid the only river between the wide prairie deserts and the mountains. It is here our story begins, how it does so, is up to you.
A) A young, unmarried woman from the Northern States with little financial prospects has answered an advertisement in the papers of a man out West looking for a wife - yes, this sort of thing happened all the time. He could be widowed with a young child who needs a mother to help raise him. He could be simply trying to get others off his back. Or he could be a victim of circumstance wherein friends or family placed the advertisement for him.
B) a young woman is a doctor, though in the cities such as Boston, females are not often sought as doctors at this time period. After her father passes, the young woman is left with few choices, one of them being answering an advertisement for a doctor's position in a small town out west - to which the locals turn up their nose at a lady doctor thinking they were hiring her father or a man at least, until one man of the community seeks out her help.

Yes, yes, im getting to the plot! So the idea is there is an outbreak of some sort. The town is growing very sick and there is talk of fighting with the natives, abandoning the town and the sick, etc. Amid the building romance between the two, it is up to our characters to find out what's causing the plague and stop it/treat it, if they can.

Now, options for your character are anything from the Sheriff, a Rancher, a Mountain man, etc. Things that make sense of why he'd be looking for the cause of the sickness.

Note: this story can be altered to contain fantasy elements, or even, wait for it, dinosaurs. Yes. Dinosaurs in the old west, ive always wanted to do that! I have tons of pictures even!

CURRENTLY TAKEN LINK: The Million Dollar Prince

Based upon the historical events of the Million Dollar Princesses - The wealth of nobility of a land has begun to rapidly decline due to land tenants moving to a new land with a thriving industrious revolution. One such noble family has no sons, but a singular daughter might well be their saving grace from penniless destitution. Engaging her to a well-known and very wealthy son of a few generations of industry (this can be steel, buildings, fashion) from the other land seems their only option. He comes with millions in his pockets, she gives him a title of nobility. Sounds rather well enough ... if the two weren't completely opposed to the idea. In his view, she's a stuck up noble-woman who likely is a cold fish from what he's heard of such women - he's a handsome young man of passion, vigor, an adventurous heart even if family is of utmost importance, love is fairytale- all women want him for is his money and fame and his bed for a time.. In her view, he's an arrogant common-wealth playboy with crude mannerisms from what she's heard of his reputation, but if she refuses, her father has promised her to the hand of an older Duke who has been eyeing her since she came of age. She's not cold, she's a lady of class. What they find in each other might not be what they expected should they give each other a chance. She may well unlock a tender side of him that believes in love, and he may well ignite the flames of passion in her with his fervent kisses.

Who doesn't love a sprawling pirate romantic adventure? Still trying to get my thoughts organized for this one, but there will be lost treasure, ship battles, piracy and privateering, a hidden map, forbidden romance as old flames are rekindled, deceptions, betrayals, corruptions, and things not as they seem. I promise I have ideas, I'm just having a hard time writing them down at the moment.

Link to Unfinished Pirate story: The Captain's Vengeance

A maker of deals and great power, the fae are known as cunning tricksters and manipulators, the original lawyers if you will. Always there must be an equivalent exchange. An up-and-coming young fae woman takes a new post among the humans and other beings to offer deals. Yet... Even fae can make a mistake. All seems to be going well... until she meets one particular man. Her request (which is a general fae deal) is the man's firstborn. She is ominous in her warning, but the man agrees. As the deal is struck, the man then looks upon the fae woman and simply asks... "So, when do we start? You wanted my first born, when do we start?" The mortal has tricked the fae. In Fae culture, this is practically a marriage proposal.

Based mostly on the original Beauty and the Beast tale. A warrior either scarred from past battles/an accident, or under a sort of curse to make his appearance hideous, traverses his homeland returning from wars/monster hunting elsewhere. The local young knightly lords of the lands seem to be taking advantage of the absence of their ruler, pressing higher taxes upon the people. Stopping by a small, crumbling inn, the warrior witnesses the innkeeper's lovely daughter - who has been nothing but kind to him since his arrival - being threatened/accosted by a local knight she's been refusing to court, trying to blackmail her with threat of arresting her father for backpayment of taxes, or simply taking her as payment. Should the warrior step in to resolve the situation, the young maid might well find herself in servitude to the stranger for his payments. But beneath his hideous appearance and gruff, threatening demeanor, she may well find a longing heart and a kindred spirit. And as he asks each night, if she might marry him, the thought crosses her mind further and further. Note: We can do a beauty and beast tale many ways this is just a cursory thought, open to other suggestions.

A prompt, not entirely having a full idea with this yet, but would love to do something between an Orc man and a Nord Woman of Skyrim, absolutely adore the Orcs of Skyrim. Here is an adoptable story that was already started and abandoned. Partner hasn't been on since 2022.
An Orcish Legend

A) A tale of a princess stuck in a tower guarded by a fearsome dragon. Sounds like we've heard it before, right? - Well, no. Not this tale. See, this princess asked this dragon to kidnap her and is paying him a salary to guard her in this castle. Sick of all the pompous princes and foul knights asking for her hand because of her wealth and beauty, she decided to try something unconventional to find a man worthy of her hand. The dragon chases off those whom seem unworthy of her, all the while hoping for the right man to come along. Now, this can be done one of several ways. The dragon can be a female friend, and the one who "rescues" the princess is actually the love interest (whether the dragon intended for him to get past or not, can go the shrek route here and have an orc or something rescue her possibly for someone else, but she decides she loves him after they know one another on their journey) OR the dragon is a male (can shapeshift to human although he has kept that secret from her) and the dragon and the princess actually fall in love.

B) Kidnapped by an evil sorcerer, trapped in a tower, etc etc. Love interest could be a knight, prince, barbarian, etc who comes and saves her from the dragon guarding, OR, she and the dragon actually bond and they help each other escape as he's just as much a prisoner as she is.

C) The dragon and the princess are in fact the same person, but none have been able to see the enchantments she might be under.

A Dragon's Heart
Taming the Hearts Fire

For centuries - no one is certain how long now - the nobility of the world has reigned infinitely, the blessed curse of Vampirism keeping the lords and their courts in power, and the folk under their rule living in terror or obliviousness to the truth. In one such corner of the world, a small town/village lives in the ever present fear of a ruling Vampire Lord. Lost in his madness of centuries gone by of wars, the hollow ache of an empty soul, and cold flesh, and the beastly hunger, his demand for blood, for the warmth of living flesh, for something... pure, is insatiable. His madness spreads as a plague upon the forests within which his castle stands, decaying slowly to time. Dead trees will not bloom where the vampire stalks, as he waits and watches for unsuspecting prey. Every few years one of his villages will gift him a 'bride' a sacrificial maiden of purity to sate his thirst and lusts until his own madness drives her to break or to death. He is more than displeased by his last maid - as she was not pure. In his mad fury he'd torn her apart - now he demands a replacement. Yet this new maid he has caught after her fleeing from him - her very blood makes him feel... ALIVE again. His still, cold heart beats inside his chest, and he demands answers to this curious creature he's taken to his dwelling.

Notes: This is a darker themed sexually charged romance, so there are possibly going to be elements of non-con, enslavement, imprisonment, servitude, punishments, etc that will slowly turn during interactions. It is based on the old premises of Vampires that they can't cross running water, they have to pick up seeds and things tossed in front of them, silver hurts them, can shape-shift to other animals, etc. The Vampire is meant to be maddened, for whatever reason is up to the player. Thoughts here are he might well just keep her in a high cage at first, using her to feed to get that elated sensation of life flooding through him again, he might try experimenting upon her blood, he might make her a servant or their relationship might grow he might make her a 'Blood Consort' as he tries to figure out the mystery of her blood. Her part is survival, but there is a part of her that... pities the glimpses of the man who shines through the madness, and kindness might well flourish. I have to be in the right mindset for the dark themes, so if I do not wish to do this one at the current time, please understand it is not you, it is simply I am not in a mindset for it.

The story of Snow White is ever so familiar, is it not? Well... to some it may be. To others, the truth of the dark tale was buried long ago when Snow White was encased in her tomb of glass. The princess - by no fault of her own - was a vampire. Deadly in her beauty, the Queen foresaw the dangerous threat of her step-daughter when she first could not see Snow White's reflection in her mirror, and learned the horrible secret the king had kept hidden from the world of his daughter. To keep her sated, the King fed his daughter his own blood from his wrist, ensuring she would not go mad as her mother did and end up... having to be killed. A father's love his downfall as his daughter's hunger grew and she drained him of his blood. Fearing for the lives of the people, as well as the life of the prince the King had betrothed his daughter to, the Queen summoned a huntsman, a know vampire slayer, to bring her Snow White's heart. This can go many ways (personally am a fan of the hunterxsnowwhite ship, but up to the partner as well).
