Breathe out a silent pray'r of thanks to me
Cook for your loved ones and kiss them each day
Float out an offering to the mermaids

Build on the beachside in houses of stone
Dance in the storm with the spray and the foam
Sail on the ocean to lands far away
Take care you don't strike a passing mermaid

Push all your refuse down into the sea
Breathe in a labored gasp of air for me
Fix up the water plant without delay
If you are quick you can save the mermaids

Stack high the cargo on top of the boat
Watch them all sink while economies float
We've made our fortune with such hasty trade
