Chapter 10 - The Golden Trees
"Greetings traveler. It's a cold morning, aye? A word of advice, don't look too close to the shadows.
Don't listen too much to the wind, and don't let the decay in the air confuse you.
This black pitch of a valley before you, was once a golden forest with leaves in the color of the sunset.
So bright and warm kings would give anything for a single leaf from one of the trees.
But with desire and wanting, greed and discord usually follow in their footsteps.
The Kings turned on one another, craving the golden trees for oneself, thus a bloody war broke out.
The blood and greed from the king's and their armies stained the earth and trees.
It filled the air and polluted the earth, and so… one day all the golden leaves on the trees turned black.
The trunks grew twisted and the ground muddy and swamped from all the blood.
The greed of the kings had turned on them, swallowed their armies and the valley is now their prison. Trapped under the black leaves and roots of the trees.
It's said that if all the black hearts of the greedy king's are removed from the valley, the golden leaves will return to the trees and the valley will be restored.
So, brave traveler, don't look too close to the shadows, or you might be caught by them.
Don't listen too much to the wind, or you might be lead astray, and don't let the decay in the air confuse you.
Because then you might get lost forever and join them in their prison…"
Quest: Find the three lost hearts of the greedy King's and burn them.
Reward: The golden armour of Sunlight, and 100,000 xp.
