(Note: This is once again a sort of niche idea for a roleplay set in the world of Sports Entertainment...Professional Wrestling. The amazing, outrageous, sometimes stupid, and varied world of Pro Wrestling is of course scripted, but in it's strange narrative it has crafted stories that stand the test of time and has even crafted stories that play out over years and years. In THIS rp though, the story will be that Professional Wrestling is in fact, real and the biggest form of entertainment on earth. Meaning that we are dealing with superhumans who can deliver light punches and still make someone double over in pain, take sledgehammers to the head and only be knocked out or heavily fazed, and moves that a normal human couldn't make do any real damage are damned near enough to knock a soul out for hours. Will we discuss how the world is completely fine with this and instead is content to just let these semi-superhuman types just slug it out with one another on a world stage and the implications of that?

NOPE. Not even gonna gloss over it. So no need to wonder or worry.

Wrestling as I said is outrageous, fun, insane, coming together to make a unique world where it seems completely normal for a seemingly "undead/wizard" to face off against an Irish brawler and...somehow it's a fair fight with genuine hype and interest. Also they seem completely fine settling their differences in matches, in front of a roaring crowd. This will make use of "canon", aka real life wrestlers from all over the world. WWE, NJPW, CMLL, AEW, TNA, STARDOM, etc. While I know it's niche and I do not anticipate a lot of interest, any who ARE interested will be happy to know I don't expect you to be a massive fan of wrestling to get it, and will happily answer any questions, including just blatantly laying out what the majority of the story is and the general vibe of the direction I am going for in terms of middle and end.)

Residing in a realm where superhuman feats are more common...

In this world, there are many sports out there...each boasting their own titans. Yet no sport is as large or as wide spanning as the sport of Professional Wrestling. It is a sport where individuals with physical abilities far beyond the norm and even peak gather to test their skills in frotn of crowds of thousands upon thousands within the arena...and hundreds of millions watching around the globe. It is a world where larger than life individuals are heralded to the ringTo say this has garnered fame and fortune would be an understatement.
The four major pillars of Professional Wrestling reside within the nations that often create the finest and most dangerous individuals for the honor of the sport. Mexico, Canada, Japan, and America stand as the most dominant lands boasting several champions both past and present that have come to grace the Hall Of Fame. Stories of hardship, dominance, and unlikely leaders of the industry that have carved their name into the very history with blood, sweat, and tears.

To even be a member of one of the major "promotions", the businesses and companies that put on the matches of these stars of the ring, is to have performed a feat. Whether it is New Japan Pro Wrestling, Stardom, CMLL, or even the WWE...in this world it means money. It means a competitive environment where to even be able to enter is its own journey. Yet one must have a competitive spirit as well for what comes next, because very few are willing to simply settle to be a member. Because many fight, battle, and hone their skills so that one day they might hold the most precious thing in the industry...

wwe-triple-h-championship-belt.jpg

A Championship Title.

Titles. Representations that in YOUR particular promotion you are so powerful or skilled (or even both) that you have climbed a mountain and been graced with solid proof of your own greatness. Colloquially referred to as "gold" in many cases as it is often the metal more commonly used upon such championships, to possess one of these is to rise up higher in the professional sport. It is to be marked for greatness and to the millions upon millions either cheering or booing...it is proof that you are to be respected and even feared. Promotions, and especially the mightiest and largest ones, will often possess more than one championship for their competitors to battle and fight for. To hold a championship is not merely for bragging rights however, but is in fact a path to a prosperous future. Those who hold championships will gain far more financial success as the "champions purse" as it is called will remain much larger so long as you hold the gold around your waist or over your shoulder. Some championships bear the symbols of a specific multimedia brand, a representation of the billion dollar industry that also pours its money into the wrestling promotion. Some bear monikers such as "Intercontinental Champion" indicating the wrestlers willingness to defend it on stages all around the world to prove their worth. Some are Tag Team titles, shared between two competitors who have formed a bond together, and now together reap the rewards and higher influence within their own company that comes with the gold. In this business that has become the dominant form of entertainment like a new form of the Gladiators of old, to hold a title is to be a credit not just to your promotion but to be a statement to the entirety of the business at large. Larger numbers upon checks, more respect, and a pull upon the very company you work for. Though such people must be wary, because to hold such a thing is to be targeted. To place a bullseye upon your back for the next soul hungry for all that strap upon you bestows...

image3.png

Yet...there is something above even the prestige of owning a championship like these...where you stake yourself out as a prime player in your company and promotion.

For while these titles are indeed impressive, and bring with them well earned success (either through honorable or devious means) they are not the highest form one can achieve within the business that now moves entire economies of cities and beyond. It is one thing to gain the eyes of those around you and to have them mark you as a threat and a rising star in a multi-billion dollar industry that spans the globe. It is another to COMMAND such attention with every move you make, and ensure that you stand among a small elite group even with all promotions combined. Another step that even those who carry the pieces of gold pictured above cannot forget, and intend to one day claim for themselves. We speak of course...

wwe-roman-reigns-titles2.jpg

A World Title.
A World Championship.

To hold such a thing is to be the pinnacle of your company. To stand side by side with the very few who are able to achieve that rank and endure the violence and pressure that comes along with it. You will be constantly assailed, constantly challenged, and even those already carrying gold will eye yours with a hunger that comes from the knowledge that whatever benefits THEY enjoy that yours are that much more tempting and inviting. Beings who obtain a world title are mighty, and those who can hold one for a long time pass into legend within the sport. Their influence and prestige even continuing even after some of them have lost the title, and at times they use that legend to leverage their way back into the running for it. Every promotion has these. The Undisputed WWE Championship. The IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The CMLL Heavyweight Championship. The AEW World

This business is real, and it is cutthroat and for many it is a lifelong obsession that may never be fully realized. So long as one puts in the effort through honorable (or less than honorable) means they can claw, bite, and scratch their way to the top. Skill and power alone is not enough. The promotions and companies merely providing the backdrop for the grand drama to play out...

That is a god damn LIE...but don't worry. I'll show you the truth of it.

(Basic story/Character Submission example on next post.)

(OOC Rules/Plot Synopsis down below! PM If interested!)

"My name is Michael Cole, as some of you may have heard the recent celebration for the new WWE Tag Team Champions here on the RAW brand was cut short by a VICIOUS attack by the current Undisputed WWE World Champion Roman Reigns. Wielding a steel chair he made his way to the ring while the two newest champions were accepting the championship belts, striking across their backs viciously and repeatedly. When officials came to the ring to stop him, he responded by striking them as well before finally after ten minutes of that vicious assault he left the broken chair in the ring and made his way up the ramp. We have contacted The Wise Man himself, Roman's personal special counsel for a comment but have received none. We have no idea what spurred such an action on..."

"You think they're stupid enough to believe that you have no idea? That no one saw this coming? Why are you lying?"
"Listen, there may be some bad blood between Roman and the Born Stars tag team. As you know they were given a qualifying match against Roman's own cousins, Jimmy and Jey Uso. This took place in a tournament that apparently the Born Stars did not actually win anything to skip ahead to the front of the line as some stated. However, our general manager and the higher ups decreed this should be done in the name of encouraging these new arrivals to the brand. Sort of laying out the welcome mat so to speak. However, Roman's cousins as YOU saw had already won their way through two grueling matches, and when facing with a group that had not been engaged in wars for the gold over a period of weeks...well suffice to say some voices claimed that the Born Stars were given something on an unfair advantage..."

"Oh SOMETHING of an unfair advantage? My BLOOD was cheated out of what was rightfully theirs so you could parade some brand new toys out for everyone to stare at."

"As we both know the Usos were injured in that match, putting them on the shelf for some time. At a time when Roman had reclaimed his Undisputed WWE Championship and seemed set to put his bloodline back on track, it probably didn't feel too damn good. Add that to the fact that another newcomer to the sport Bronn Breaker led his own new "friends" in an attack on former bloodline member Sami Zayn, putting HIM on the shelf and it was a hell of a week for those who once ran this entire promotion, the largest in the world of Professional Wrestling. One of Sports Entertainments biggest dynasties...can we blame Roman for wanting some revenge? With the new callups being hired, some of them being rocketed right into main event big paying positions ahead of others, is it any wonder some resentment might be brewing? Some even claim that such preferential treatment from TKO Holdings, owner of the WWE itself, has caused plenty of backstage issues. For god sake they brought in an absolute killer group of women from their own scouting runs, and this group attacked Liv Morgan, robbing her of her chance to reclaim her Women's World Championship. One of our era's biggest female stars, and she was taken out by some people who claimed they wanted to make a splash. I get that with the dissolution of Judgement Day, Liv is out on her own once more and should be careful but the attack was...malicious. Her chances of prevailing in her rematch she worked hard for seems unlikely as well..."

"ENOUGH. You wanted to make a big statement right? You wanted to get all eyes on your new shiny imports right? Well wish granted."

The image cuts out. Static sputtering and popping before a figure can be seen sitting at a table, dimly list. Only their muscled frame silhouette visible. A deep voice speaking.
The tone is conversational, and a sigh can be heard in his voice as he almost seems to be nostalgic when he slowly begins to talk.

"My family? We ran it all."

"This was OUR world. You all just got to live in it. It didn't matter what heroes rolled up to my door or what villains thought they could steal from me at the end of it ALL...they were broken.

I did that. I did it with pride and I did it with FURY. I wrecked everyone and then I left. I showed my cousins, my BLOOD...I showed them the way.

At the end when all was said and done we held the power over every single damn person in that locker room.

A dynasty reborn...and for over three years we remained on top.

Undisputed.

Gold around our belts.

Money falling from the heavens.

Yet like all good Empire's...

It fell.

Because every empire has its dark moments.

Strength attracts strength and even if my list of victims was a whose who of Hall of Famers eventually even I...your chief...would feel the sting of defeat.

But did that make me quit? Naw. Not even close son. Not even REMOTELY close because that isn't how I do things.

I don't stand and weep over the rubble I shove my hand into the pile and pull out the first brick to begin rebuilding.

Because that's what I've always done.

What WE have always done.

Champions live like that. Champions who deserve to sit on the Island Of Relevancy.

Who DESERVE to sit on top while rest of those who haven't proven themselves mill about at our feet begging for a chance to ascend.

I am your Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns. Leader and GOD of the Island.

I proved that when a month ago I REGAINED WHAT BELONGS TO ME.

wwe-roman-reigns-titles.jpg

MY world title.

The Crown Jewel to adorn my throne as I rose again.

But...something happened.

While I've been training and planning with the Wiseman something changed.

All of YOU up above? The men who profited off of MY greatness? The greatness of my family?

The greatness of champions past and present?

You leeches whose only job was to provide us with an arena for us to showcase our greatness?

You got ideas. Oh boy you got THEORIES.

You got greedy.

So you found brand new stars to bring in.

Shiny stars. Influencers. Easily manipulated.

I saw this and realized what you were doing...

You wanted to replace us.

MY time, and the time of my family and even the time of so many others who have CARRIED you.

You want to push us away before our era's have even begun to lose steam?

With your special favors and paper champions?

But here's the thing I get it.

I REALLY do...

The only language you understand is money isn't it boys and girls?

Know what makes money around here? Not just in this promotion, but overseas?

In Mexico? In Canada? In Japan?

Champions.

Those cut from a cloth that puts them above the rest.

Yet you've infected those areas beyond our land to haven't you?

Your sickening ideas of forcefully pushing your easily new marketable yes men and women?

No effort, no struggle, pieces put in front of those who have bled for this day in and day out?

No.

So here's what I'm going to do."

The lights come on, revealing a muscled man sitting in front of the camera. Dark brow furrowed as he seems to be deep in contemplation. Over one shoulder is a massive golden championship belt, with gems studded onto its pristine surface. He wears a black track suit, meticulously washed, his hair slicked back into a small bun, not a single hair out of place as he reaches up to run a large hand through his beard.

FxuCbIYXoAArlhl.jpg

"It's time for a change." Roman Reigns remarks, eyes not yet meeting the camera as he gestures with one hand to lightly pat his championship. "My Island Of Relevancy is built on glory. Prestige. Strength. For 1,316 Days I held this championship. I defended my Island. In an ocean of mediocrity I carved out a path for those who MATTERED. Those who were willing to do WHATEVER it took to grab onto immortality and squeeze it tight."

Slowly he would look up, staring directly at the camera.

"I see you." He remarked for a moment, tilting his head as he leveled that hard gaze. "The Wise Man at my side sees you. Champions. Icons of this new era. Some of you denied what is rightfully yours because of this influx. Some call it the Emergence Movement. Fun little catchphrase to put on shirts. I see you all in other promotions to. AEW. NJPW. You arrive on OUR shows. On OUR turf, proclaiming how you're jumping to the front of the line and TAKING the food off our plates. Maybe you think it sounds tough, maybe you think it sounds strong right? Well. If that's the way you want to play it then I guess I have no choice. What I'm gonna offer to the rest of you, is simple. Prove your worth to me. Your strength, ruthlessness, and willingness to take back what you've been denied for far too long. What you've had STOLEN from you in some cases. You do that? You prove to me you're willing to go that extra step regardless of what promotion you come from...? Then I'll help you stake your claim on the Island of Relevancy. I'll make sure you have gold around your waist, over your shoulder. I'm a generous Chief. A magnanimous man who honestly finds it SICKENING that some of you who brush against greatness are pushed off to the side before your time or right at the peak of your time. You really gonna sit down and let that stand? Your Tribal Chief, THE Tribal Chief is not going to. I'm gonna BREAK everyone I see. I'm gonna DENY them and their wealthy backers the quick coup they want. If we take control, they can't stop us because hey, we're popping ratings right? I'm taking back what is mine, and if you feel the same way wellll...join up. Boo me if you want for doing this, but the fact remains when all is said and done you WILL cheer. Because I'll have put down every single one of those who stand in my way, and who share the same ideals as those pieces of garbage that put my cousins on the shelf."

The man would lean forward, looking directly at the camera seeming to shudder and twitch with rage.

"Champions...RELEVANT ones. The island is not a place for your petty disputes with one another when your legacies could be growing, but they WON'T grow unless you stand up and join me NOW. So the question is simple. You going to reach out, take my hand, and seize everything that could be yours? Provide for those you love and care for? Or are you going to stand aside or be STOMPED on by those who DO join me instead? I've already led one dynasty. I intend to make another. There is room at the table for those who want to dominate and feast the way they SHOULD. Or you could struggle, whimper, and be content with whatever scraps you're given after you're run out of the business. If you've got that killer edge I'm looking for...well. I'll save you a spot at MY table."

One Week Later...on an episode of WWE Smackdown.

The Commentators Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore call their main event match for the WWE Women's World Championship. A match that seems to be nearing it's end.

"Liv Morgan is on her last legs here Joe. Not only has she had to run a gauntlet in this match born of pure unadulterated endurance, but dammit man she's still suffering from that attack from before! This woman, Maika, brought in from overseas by the TKO board of directors to help spice up our brand immediately dethroning an overwhelmed Iyo Sky! While Maika is indeed strong, one has to wonder if that attack on Liv was done for HER benefit. Perhaps someone WANTED Liv here to not get a bloody fair shot so Maika could continue running roughshod over everyone! Liv Morgan, considered by many to be one of the most diabolical, violent, and cruel Women's World Champions in WWE history, hate her or love her we know how much that championship meant to her! Yet even with all of her tricks at her disposal it seems she's just too damned hurt!"

"Wade trust me I understand where you're coming from but dammit if she isn't trying! But Maika here appears prepared to end it, setting Liv up for..."

Suddenly, music blares loudly, filling the entire arena. Fans in attendance with eyes widening as that theme music is...recognized.

"It can't be!"

"What the hell is Roman doing out here Joe!?"

As the music swells the Undisputed WWE Champion steps out onto the massive entrance ramp with his trusted "Wise Man" and manager Paul Heyman by his side. The small portly fellow holding his chiefs title belt in his arms. Yet it is not the crowd or their reaction that the man focuses on, but the match taking place in the ring. He seemed to be...waiting for something. Patiently watching as Maika stopped what she was doing in the ring and turned away from Liv Morgan to stare perplexed at the men staring at them from the entrance ramp.

roman-reigns-paul-heyman-wwe-1.jpeg

"We heard Roman's message from before Wade, and...you gotta think maybe this has something to do with it. Yet who is he looking to right now? Not a single one of these competitors have ever been associated with the Bloodline before. Maika IS our current Champion, winning it against an injured Iyo Sky one month ago! A shot that many felt Liv was supposed to gain first! Still Maika is locking eyes on the Chief himself and...OHMYGODFROMBEHIND!"

Liv Morgan leapt upon Maika savagely from behind, taking advantage of that distraction and pushing her against the ropes, whipping her around and wrapping her arm about her neck before slamming her down face first with a crashing noise that resounded in the arena.

"She just hit her Oblivion! She just hit her finishing move! Liv Morgan...SHE'S PINNING MAIKA! ONE...TWO...THREE!"

The arena erupted into screams of shock and awe as Liv Morgan's music suddenly blasted over the speakers signaling her victory. Maika, the bright and colorful newcomer that had been marketed so well to the audience had been dethroned after merely a month, and to a surprise attack. Some cheered, but quite a few booed. As a battered and tired Liv was handed the championship belt and the announcer loudly proclaimed her as the winner to those involved...Roman just smirked on the ramp, before giving a slow clap of his hands when Liv turned towards him from the ring. With that he turned away signaling to his Wise Man as they both departed as an entire arena heard the words..

"...And NEW Women's World Champion! LIVVVVVVV, MORGANNNNNNNNNNNN!"

_________________________________________________________

OOC STUFF RULES/PLOT ETC:
First off, yes. I make very long introduction posts and some IC stuff to start. I treat it as a trailer or a teaser in that sense. While I hope for and expect posts on the somewhat Medium-Big size, trust me when I say that what I just posted up HERE? Not exactly a standard post for me, my intros just tend to ALWAYS be big, so if there is a location change, new character introduced, etc, I like to describe and set the scene...which then allows me to make smaller posts AFTER that big one because all that works been done for me and I get to just play around in the sandbox basically.

Anyways, BASIC plot synopsis:

The roleplay will be played as villainous wrestlers ("Heels" in wrestling terminology) are led by Roman Reigns, a man who has recently come back "into power" by reclaiming the championship he lost some time ago. During the last time he held the championship however, he led his faction of primarily family members called The Bloodline into an era of three year dominance over the WWE. For 1,316 days his reign, pardon the pun, was enforced by his ruthlessness and raw power over all manner of challengers. With his Wise Man Paul Heyman, one of the greatest Managers and schemers in wrestling history, he ruled with an iron fist. While that empire fell, he was PREPARING to rebuild it with his championship win...but watched in horror as his cousins, a team called The Usos, were injured and put on the shelf along with his former ally Sami Zayn. Not knowing when they will be cleared this has weighed heavy on him.

Roman now has begun to notice something taking place. TKO Holdings, the biggest sports entertainment company in the world has decided to "spice up WWE" by signing a massive influx of new stars to draw in eyes. This was forced upon the company however, and because of that many of these talents are seen as being given preferential treatment over many in the business. In response to this several new stars are being snapped up in a bidding war outside, and thus chaos has begun to erupt as many of those who once had their legacies secure find themselves fighting for their spot and their livelihoods as things become more and more chaotic. Fights and brawls between wrestlers are becoming more and more common.

What the Tribal Chief seeks is simple, to establish a dynasty laced with gold that could potentially stretch out across promotions. Gathering the very strongest willing to serve his vision. Whether they are champions, former champions eager for a chance at the spotlight once more, or those who were so CLOSE to getting their own gold but denied it through means beyond their control...Roman is searching for you. Even if you were once a staunch upright hero to the masses who feels they NEED to do this to once more get what is OWED to you? Roman has a place for you at his table. This will involve attacks on other promotions, scheming with dramatic speeches, twists and turns, brutal fights that span entire arenas, and perhaps even a betrayal or two...

I am seeking canon characters from promotions, aka wrestlers who already exist under a ring name/persona etc. However, there are plenty who may have been signed to WWE and changed their persona drastically. Thus I am open to having discussions on if a character has changed their persona big time and joins up with Roman in a new villainous role. Wrestling is full of supernatural characters, hardcore pure athlete characters, pop idol characters, monsters, demons, etc. Trust me...there is some BEAUTIFULLY weird shit out there. I am by no means only looking for WWE either. Throw in some NJPW, Stardom, CMLL if you want! Maki Itoh would absolutely be perfect because she is perfection and can do no wrong. Or maybe Kazuchika Okada the Rainmaker himself joins up? Mercedes Mone? Britt Baker? Saya Kamitani? Trust me plenty of opportunities out there!

Post Length: I am looking for around 3-4 Paragraphs in most posts? I totally understand if this is too much and don't actually think less of anyone who posts less. I understand we've all got things to do and that amount might be a bit too much for something like this!

If you are interested do not post here but instead private message me! That way we can iron out any details and questions you might have! Once again I understand this is a sort of niche thing to go for but hey...run...and as for a character sheet example... points down to the next post.

"Ahem! Ladies and gentleman, my name is Paul Heyman, and as one who has the honor and PRIVILEGE of speaking his will and his vision to the people! You wish to know why he is doing what he is doing well while I do not believe I can properly and completely orate exactly just what the vision of my chief is I can do my very best to encompass everything he has foreseen and has decided to act upon! I provide counsel when he requires it, but I am merely a tool sharpening the mind that has been trained from since he was a small boy to take on this role! The role of the Tribal Chief, The Last Needle Mover! The Ratings Giant! The biggest box office attraction I...ahem. As I was saying. It is quite simple. My Tribal Chief seeks to form a new Island. The Island Of Relevancy is a place so palpable you can almost see it. It is a place founded, built, and populated by only the strongest, the mightiest, the most ruthless, the most cunning of those who call themselves champions! Who call themselves truly relevant in a sea of mediocrity! My mighty chief wishes to only HELP such individuals realize the prestige and power they seek can still be theirs EVEN in this current chaotic world that professional wrestling finds itself in! So he seeks you out! Are you hungry and possess what it takes to secure YOUR gold and join us upon the Island? Do it, and find yourself in company that will embrace and uplift you to places you have never thought possible! Not just in ONE company, but across the world they can bask in your greatness...second only to our chief of course. Enjoy prosperity, wealth, and backed by a strength that will see it defended! Do not sit in mediocrity! Do not sit among the simple-minded sheep, show us you have teeth. Show us you have what it takes to join a brand new Professional Wrestling Dynasty...and all you must do...is Acknowledge he who stands above, and in doing so raise yourself up!"

"Very good Wise Man."

(Yep, the character sheets are short and sweet, figured it would be simple/easy...and the motivation section is essentially the character in question explaining WHY they are joining this villainous group and following Roman's vision. What they think of the possibility of them joining a group that will dominate and destroy anything on their path to taking over multiple promotions through their ferocity and ruthlessness etc!)

"Liv Morgan former...or should I say current Women's World Champion? The Island Of Relevancy most definitely has a place for someone willing to do whatever it takes to secure their prestige, their position, and their legacy. I think you'll do just fine in spreading our influence, and helping to secure and dominate the women's division. No division should be safe from the Island. No division should be out of our reach or ever FEEL out of our reach. Keep up the good work, keep up that hunger, and more success can be yours. A place at the table will always be yours so long as you keep up such work...and so long as you acknowledge your Tribal Chief in action and words."

(Honestly loving the idea of ruthless and manipulative Liv Morgan working under the Tribal Chief so much because it allows her to be able to fully spread those villainous wings of hers, and put her at a much higher spot on the card reclaiming her throne. The idea of her being unleashed on enemies knowing she has the backing of a strong group made up of people just as ruthless as she is boggles the mind. This is the sort of thing I am looking for majorly if people are interested.

The story arcs are right there. Are you a character who has lived in the shadow of a much stronger friend who works in the same promotion? A classic "hero" who begins to see that it doesn't matter what they do they keep being passed over or screwed over as if their only reward for performing these good acts is having it spit back into their face? Unique and honestly fun as hell characters exist like this in ABUNDANCE in wrestling. Maybe as Roman watches he sees your character attack their former best friend/comrade in order to secure a prize for THEMSELVES, proving to Roman you're willing to shed "dead weight" from you? Characters exist like:

d26ac3f8d6fa8dc6142167d92a25f7f7.jpg

Saya Kamitani. Former pop Ido turned wrestler who for so long spent her days being a goodie goodie, doing her best for the fans and her bestie friends...but had to watch as they constantly began to surpass her. Even taking advantage of her in her promotion of World Wonder Ring Stardom (or just Stardom). Eventually though she decided enough was enough, casting off the fans and teammates who had failed to give her the power and prestige her skills so rightfully deserved. She eventually even takes over another group of misfits and outcasts who feel like her, forming a group that cares for themselves, and only for themselves where she becomes the dark "Queen" of the entire promotion...

f539e1b87a3da0d05241d2ed38997665.jpg

This group runs roughshod, the once mighty hero ripping a hole through the very promotion she had helped build with smiles and bright colors. Yet while some bemoan her actions and cry out that what she is doing is wrong...it pays off.

65feca1c766c3a8fc5f5737f8325e11f.jpg

She reaches the pinnacle, realizing that potential and power she had been denied for so long...only to eventually be brought down through sheer numbers as many rally against her. Now in this world, she finds her own promotion in Japan being besieged with chaos as the business grows and many others seek to prevent her from EVER becoming that dark Queen again, and from using the championships she won to extend her influence and power...but what if she decides to take matters into her own hands? What if she hears Roman's offer, and decides that one promotion isn't enough for her ambition anymore...that even enlisting his help to take back control of it isn't enough, that her goals are even larger? So much so that she finds herself having a seat at the table?
There are plenty of characters whose stories can be easily worked that way, and the only reason I bring up characters like Saya is because she is one of the lesser known ones outside of Japan but is a major player whose story CAN be moved like that, and honestly legitimately do like the idea of women being apart of the group of "stable" as a massive group in wrestling is called. As they help dominate the women's divisions all over the world, invading locker rooms in massive brawls, seizing power etc alongside Roman. Plus with women's wrestling more and more getting credit for all the sick as hell stories they pump out, it just opens the gallery of "possible awesome villains" even wider.

I'll post up some more ideas here, and if anyone has types of characters they "like" they can ask me if there are any who fit it if they like the concept of this story but don't know much about wrestling. I don't expect us to do massive amounts of matches in this rp, speeding over them to the good bits, mostly doing brawls for all but the biggest moments.

Think "mafia family rising to power" vibes but using the insane backdrop of a world where Professional Wrestling is real. That's the intent.

Some fun names to think of? For anyone who endured my wall of text and like this little idea? Names that immediately pop to my mind?
Here they are with their promotions name next to them:

Saya Kamitani- Stardom
Maki Itoh- Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling
Bryan Danielson- AEW
Stephanie Vaquer- WWE (NXT Brand)
Kazuchika Okada- AEW
Rhea Ripley- WWE
Jimmy/Jey Uso- WWE
Tatum Paxley- WWE (NXT Brand)
Alexa Bliss- WWE

Mercedes Mone- AEW

These are just ones that pop into mind immediately with story ideas already in my head. )

Really loving the expansion on the characters and the inclusion of stars outside of the WWE universe. Excited!! ♥

I really like the idea of expanding it beyond WWE, or at least allowing the option to be there because it creates a major sets of fun. Like a crime family or gang attacking and striding into enemy territory you get to have stars from different lands/promotions intermingling giving more gravity to the situation. This also allows for people whose personalities would make interesting combinations and be center stage. I like the idea of mixing different unique personalities together, such as villainous types with a more aristocratic feel meeting with ones who have a brutal bloodline whose dominance they must uphold. Plus focusing on the four pillars of wrestling of Mexico, Canada, USA, and Japan illustrates the most prolific grounds for it all with unique styles and traditions.

One of the key things I am going for is the title are much more than just "gold belts" for bragging purposes. These things provide financial increases, prestige in a sense that regardless of HOW you got the title now the world knows to be wary of someone who was able to get it regardless. Even in smaller promotions to, they make for fine ways to reward performers who have done so well that they get to wear a piece of hardware on them that shows they are respected enough by an entire company for it to place their name and symbol right on the front.

But it also can allow for interesting characters to use the PURSUIT of such things to clash with one another. Roman's group, which will be called "The Island" for the moment, fight for prestige and legacy. Because of this they operate more in that crime family vein...but I fully intend for them to come up against groups that are far different from them in structure. People will SEE the rise to power, and naturally some will try to stop them. Good guys, bad guys, etc. While we may be villains seeking what is ours at any cost, that doesn't mean the group is friends with all other villains. If they stand in the way, they got to go to.

Roman is seeking people who WANT to prove themselves. People who have been robbed. People who were pushed aside. People who won through honor, people who won through ruthlessness, but most importantly people who HAVE ascended to the top or very much have the potential to. In his own words, for his family? His comrades? He wants money to fall from the ceiling. Endorsements. Big paychecks. The prestige of gold around their waist. He doesn't want to be the only person succeeding he wants EVERYONE in his stable to succeed and be recognized no matter who they have to run down to achieve it. Some groups WON'T be fine with that, whether they are goody two shoes, or even groups that operate as a "cult", the deranged minds of the leaders seeing Roman's group as something that could upend their nefarious schemes.

While once again this is very niche in comparison to a lot of other ideas, Pro Wrestling has unlimited possibilities for fun stories just like that. There can be romance, rivalries, tension, backstabbing, feuds, former enemies working together, old flames rekindled between friends or lovers etc etc. In a giant bombastic world, why not go for it all?

Plus like I said before, I'm not gonna make people rp out entire matches or anything like that. It's why if people are interesting in the idea, but don't know much about the characters possible (literally hundreds) I am more than happy to help them in that regard. I love answering questions on topics I come up with because if I'm gonna put something like this up, I'm damn well gonna answer any inquiries about it. Though starting small is something I have no issue with either.
