Humanity burned on April 1st, 2024.
The initial news reports were written off as hoaxes, but it wasn't a prank.
One by one, every man, woman, and child on the planet spontaneously combusted,
consumed from within by a strange white flame that burned not only their bodies
but their surroundings.
Burning cities could be seen from space.
Within 24 hours, everyone burned with over 99% of people reduced to soot stained bones.
The remaining humans survived, but were irrevocably changed,
developing inexplicable abilities.
After five years of chaos, madness and death,
small clusters of civilization have begun to grow from the ash.
Today, on April 1st, 2029, the Burn's architects return.
