The Kingdom of Ash is a post apocalyptic setting that I've cobbled together with inspiration from The Road, Mad Max, and way too many comic books.
The basic premise is every human being on the planet spontaneously combusted over the course of 24 hours. A tiny percentage of people survived the experience and were reborn with a new, strange gift to help them survive in a world that burned.

The Kingdom of Ash Setting Bible
I'd like to work with someone or someones interested in building and exploring the setting with me. I'm not a writer who's super precious about his ideas. I want to collaborate. I want you to bring your ideas into the setting
If you read the setting Bible, you'll note I didn't explain the why or how of The Burn. I also didn't declare who the architects are. I have an idea of how I'd explain it, but maybe that's something you'd like to explore in a story.
So, let's talk story ideas. I've a fairly specific archetype I'm looking to write. I want to write the loner scavenger who just can't help but get caught up in nonsense. I don't mind writing male or female, but specifically I want that character who's reluctant to get involved, but gets involved to help people anyway. Tries to be jaded and emotionally reserved, but their heart or conscience gets in the way.
Your character could be anything. A settler who's beset by raiders. A crashed astronaut who's been observing the world below for years. An alien from the race who tried to destroy humanity in preparation for terraforming. A faithful member of the clergy desperately trying to stop the Beast's rise. The runaway adult child of a warlord. Perhaps you're the warlord who needs my character's skill set to claim a prize.
Really, I want to hear your ideas.
While sexytimes are possible, if not probable, I'm a plot first sort of writer.
I am also not a good partner if you're looking for rapid fire, immediate replies. I'll do my best to give each story a few replies a week and will notify a partner if I get busy or have lost inspiration, but I can't promise more than that.
If you've made it this far, well done, you. I'm a wordy prick for someone who isn't even offering up fleshed out plots.
If you're interested in fleshing one out with me, send me a PM.
