It follows two soulmates, each with a strong affinity of opposite magic, who find themselves always drawn towards each other in a variety of timelines. From lovers in one timeline to rivals in the current one, where one is destined to be the villain and the other as the prophesied hero. How will this story end, when the string finally brings these two souls together again. Behold: A story that ranges from the gentlest of fluff to the right dose of angst, an enduring romance with plenty of intrigue, quests and all the yearning we can ask for.

With this, I want to find someone who likes to take their time with the narrative, weave the story scene by scene and play a cast of characters as the world builds around them. So I'm looking for someone who is patient, open minded and understanding - you'll get it in return!

On the continent of Amber Vale in the country of Solera, there is still known an old mythos centered around the Son of Summer. It's a tale of a young demigod whose father was the god of the sun, a deity of healing and prophetic wisdom. His mother was a mortal, pure of heart and strong in spirit. And together, their love crafted a child come to be known as Solaris.
Destined to one day rule all the sunlight touched and to lead the realm into days of long awaited peace, Solaris' prophecy was foretold by a Witch from the Order of the Withering Willow, a wise spirit of the woods who mentored the boy to be grounded in the virtues of man and magical prowess.

But as time passed, and the boy grew into a man, so also grew a terrible darkness. The nights grew longer and an entity, unknown to neither word of proverb, wretched itself free from the night's womb. It came to be known as the Hunger.
It's endless conquest to feed struck the terror of the people Solera. It grew fat off the fear and pain of others, threatening to cast the realm into eternal darkness. Even the Order was powerful enough to stop it and it too was consumed by it's ever expanding shadow.
And so it fell on the shoulders of Solaris, but it's influence began to eat away at him.

As it began to chip away at his power, the young demigod feared what would become of his people should he too fall to the Hunger. Eventually, he lost his closest friends, his mentor and finally the love of his life. And so, through deceit and desperation, a sacrifice was made.
He used his own magic to shattered his heart, a source of immense power, into mystical shards that scattered across realities before and realities after, realities now and realities then, realities of what never was and realities of what could have been. Across the sea of time, these shards became barriers to unwind the web that the Hunger spun and thus what was left of his people were spared.

The Darkness, taking the title of Talus Umbrum,, carved creatures out of shadow from any unfortunate souls who wandered from the shield of Solera into his darkest regions. He roamed across time and space, always hungry for what other's possessed and what he did not.
Yet even in such despair, there was still hope. The Hunger knew it could be destroyed should king's heart shards be returned to his body as his mortal soul could finally vanquish its hold on him. And so Talus was filled with an unexplainable hunger, driven to scour the realities in search of his own shards so that he could destroy what little memory there was of the golden youth.

Without his pureness in heart and his strength in spirit, the Hunger corrupted the young demigod and he transformed into something unfamiliar. Vengeful and wicked, Solaris died and became nothing but a vassal to the Hunger, which was now given a mouth to speak and a body to traverse to the moral world.
News traveled the king was slain by the Hunger that now took the form of a man. They couldn't have known that he was only a captive to it's influence, for his visage was erased from their memories. Solera's bloodied fields slowly grew green again, but now the empty throne brought greedy hands to fight over it's seat, men who were enticed by the allure of power.

There is a hunt to for Solaris' heart, not only by the Hunger, but by a love once lost and now found in the time of her king's greatest need.
The strongest heart shard traveled so far that not even the Hunger could followed it. It traversed beyond moral realities into the afterlife itself, where it found she who had once loved it the most. The soul of a maiden, once betrothed to the Son of Summer and who had been lost before their love could blossom.
And now in the land of the living, a maiden bears the mark of the sun, gifted with the ability to recover all the lost shards. At night, in her dreams, she's visited by essence of her former love who has now become her greatest adversary.
As for the character that you decide to write, she's deliberately open ended because that's completely up to you! All backstory and picture inspiration is largely to fit with the theme of the thread so please do whatever you feel right! I'm always down to brainstorm too.

If any of these aren't to your liking, then this might not be the story for you: Light or Medium Bondage (Something you'd see in movies or tv, I'm not a fan of anything super restrictive), Gags , and Abduction themes. You know, your typical Damsel (Dudes) in Distress scenarios.
But I don't need it to be all kinky, I also want Romance and Story Depth. Mains who are partners that show growth, adoration and affection in a way that feels earned and authentic. I don't really have a smut to story ratio! I'm perfectly fine with admitting these themes in place of story (per request) but wouldn't want to compromise the narrative in place of more smut. Not my cup of tea! So just let me know your comfort level and I can adjust.

But I don't mean weak willed or easy to push around. I don't mean someone who can't stand on her own or is incapable of defending herself and those around her: I mean witty, charming, kind hearted, sweet, brave. A main with an arc that sees her grow, but as a person and in terms with her magic abilities. Think a Studio Ghibli heroine!
