It's an old plot that I tried to start many times but it never found anyone that could stay around long enough. The world in which our character would be in is a school in which magic is taught through lessons, but also through experience in an endless dungeon that runs under the school. That dungeon is both a way to get good grades 'easily' while reinforcing mages for each floor passed. However it requires groups to enter. Our characters would be outcasts, mine would be because his magic is considering cheating, yours could be any reason really.
The idea would be that they hate each other due to their reputation but are forced to group together to enter the dungeon. From there it would grow into a romance between the two while they go through the floors.
