Cale Poe grew up hard in the mid-1910s and 1920s in Appalachian North Carolina in a poor farming family with fall down drunk parents who treated him like dirt. At the age of 12, he finally found his escape when the local Moonshine Baron picked him up off the streets and hired him to run between multiple stills placed strategically through the deep forests of the mountain range where he grew up and knew like the back of his hand. It was not long before he started making late-night moonshine runs to the baron's customers and getting paid handsomely for his efforts while the Baron took him under his wing and taught him all the tools of the trade.
The Baron, however, knew that opportunities were limited here and being old and comfortable could not leave for greener pastures. So he gave his protege one of his best cars and sent him off to Atlanta, the hub of illegal opportunities for North Georgia, to work for one of his contacts. Cale worked long and hard hours learning about cars and figuring out how to make them faster and the ins and outs of engines. Eventually, he was making bank as a mechanic, moonshiner, numbers runner, and protection for many of his bosses prostitutes.
But what he loved the most was navigating the Georgia backroads outsmarting and outrunning revenuers and local sheriffs, taking those skills and translating them onto the several local dirt tracks where moonshiners, farmers, and factory workers took their beloved machines and raced them against one another. He was definitely an intense bad boy, his only focus his work and the occasional roll in the hay, never committing to anyone.
This is where your character comes in:
Maybe she is one of the girls in the clubs who has been eyeing him for a long time and decides to take manners into her own hands
Maybe she is a southern debutante tired of being daddies pretty little princess and finds out what she really desires is a bad boy that she thinks she can tame
Maybe she is one of the prostitutes he protects who sees him as a way of getting more out of life
I would not mind adding a supernatural element to this if that is something you want:
Maybe she is a witch who takes an interest in him as a way to increase her own power/criminal empire
Maybe she is a voodoo gypsy who wants to make him into her plaything
A vampire who has a taste for his blood and enjoys the power over him?
I want a partner who wants to dive deep into this. Create your own character as I have and invest herself into her.
